Pfft yourself. Who cares about attention? It's all about the thrill.

Heh...well, my point was that you don't actually have to be any good. You just have to be moderately attractive, and whatever hammering and wailing you do on stage won't matter. :p

Ouch! xp (Do saxophones count? I play saxophone.....oh...band geek.....damn.)

Seriously, just go up there and pretend to play an instrument. ANY instrument. Choose a genre dominated by men, and most of them will cream their pants that there's a woman who not only likes the type of music they like, but is up there actually MAKING it.
Seriously.
Seriously.

Well in that case, entirely true. My old band had this chick in it who couldn't play (she was the rhythm guitarist, wtf?) , so they wanted her to just pretend because they wanted her in the band. Har har har. Men. No offense.

Soooo, for example, like when I go to my nerdy conventions that's why all the guys fawn over me? whee

I lied, I play some piano and a little guitar also. Probably good enough to get up on stage and make all the guys happy. I know! I could play the keytar!

Well, based on the few photos you've posted of yourself, you seem pretty cute. I'd be surprised if they didn't fawn over you. lol
This link is for you, I think.

Bastardization of one of my favourite bands and one of my favourite songs. Loved it.

Alright, the band is gearing up for the Halloween period. As expected, it looks like we're going to be VERY busy during the September and October period.
For any Northern California folks, we're hosting a Halloween Party on October 24th, and it looks like we'll be in Clear Lake, CA on the night of Halloween itself. We have a variety of other shows throughout the months, too.
If you're in the area, let me know. I'll let you know where the Halloween Party is, or any of the other events.

Wish I could go! Any way you can record tidbits of your band and give us a sample. I am curious.

Just for you, Lucie.
Last year at the Sacramento Horror Film Festival I saw one of the funniest, most original horror films I'd ever seen...ThanksKilling.
My band subsequently wrote this song:
ThanksKilling
This is a mastered version of the song we wrote about 4 months ago. Our live version of this song is now slightly different (all of our music slowly changes as we get to know it better), but I still like this old version.
We're actually working on a co-promotion project with the folks who made the movie.
BTW: this movie isn't in distribution yet, but you can pre-order it for $9.99. I personally think it's a must-have for horror fans who like to have weird, entertaining movies nobody has ever heard of in their collection. Outside of a limited run at horror film festivals, nobody has seen this movie yet.
We have some live performance recordings somewhere...I'll see if I can get them onto YouTube.

Heh...I'm glad you liked it.
I've been listening to Balzac a lot recently. They're fun in a Shonen Knife sort of a way, not to mention that they're damn good.
