"Enflame!" Shroud called this command and the scythe burst into flames, channeling through and around the two of them, and destroying the chemicals in the air.
With no scythe Shroud jumped backwards yet again to assess the situation.

The small girl against the wall finally spoke, her words being very monotonous and soft. She didn't look up, nor did she move from her position. "Bakudo no kyu; Geki." A red light struck Shroud, rendering him immobile and incapable of action for a bit. Hei slipped his hand into his robe a drew a metal vial that he tossed onto the the ground beneath Shroud's feet. There came a hissing noise as gas began to leak from the tube, spreading itself in the air. There were two gases within this tube, a powerful sleep agent and a very flammable gas and they leaked out the opposite sides.

((I'm running on empty as my monster storage is empty... x3, so pardon me if my attacks become random or idiotic.))
Shroud did nothing for the moment, until a white and gray patch began to spread over the rigt side of his face.
With Shroud's arms frozen, he felt his scythe reform into it's dual blade form and attach to his arms. His voice seemed more demonic with the mask covering half his face, "I am free?! So soon?" Shrouds left eye closed because of the sleeping gas, but the mask retained one eye open.
The being managed to lift a finger ever so slightly, and a wall of sand spikes surrounded the small girl and Hei, "Release me... NOW! My carrier may not have complete control of the sand... but I DO!"

Hei dodged the spikes in turn, not really finding it hard to do so. Once again, she spoke, not moving from her spot or even seeming wary of what was going on or even aware of the fact that one of the spikes and struck her arm and that she was now bleeding slightly. "Hadou no sanjuuichi: Shakkaho" A red flame erupted from the tip of one of her fingers and shot towards Shroud or whatever he was at the moment, igniting the flammable gas in the air around him and creating a large explosion. Hei dashed over to the girl and picked her up, vanishing seconds later before the blast caught up to them. Any sand in the vicinity would be turned into glass and third degree burns were pretty much unavoidable.

((I only see one way around this... but))
Shroud lay silent on the ground, just staring up at the ceiling, he spoke in a soft tone, "... heh heh heh... i've never come across anyone who could best my sand so quickly... " He lifted his hand to try and reform the sand, but only a small amount reformed and came to his hand.
"Hei? Where'd you go?"

"Yeah well... That's life. This is the Captain of the Research and Development Squad you're dealing with... and you never even got me to release. Maybe next time..." Hei dropped down from the ceiling, seemingly appearing from nowhere and carrying the girl in his arms. Once they touched ground, he set her down and let her walk behind her as they made their way over to the place where he had entered the room to begin with. Feeling around, he pushed his finger into a groove and managed to open the door all the while speaking to Tsukiko who didn't reply. "I need to... repair some things..." He said right before the door shut behind him and his Vice Captain.

Tao walked into the area, looking around lightly. He chose a spot in one of the corners and sat down silently, sitting indian style and closing his eyes. He sat meditating for a while.

Tsukiko entered the Training Area via the door that was hard to find from the inside. She was carrying a drugged Danika over her shoulder but was rid of her the first chance she got. With the drugged girl now lying in a heap next to the open door, Tsukiko strode towards Tao. She sat down in front of him and stared, as if waiting for him to open his eyes. "4th seat Tao Klow, I shall be your sparring partner, if you so wish." She looked adorable just sitting there in her shinigami robes, rivaling the cuteness of the long dead 11th Division Lieutenant, Kusajishi Yachiru. Only members of the 12th Division and a select few outside it knew exactly what she was because she was so well made. She blinked at him and patiently awaited his answer.
Hei sidled in a little later, sank into a corner, paying no attention to Tao or Tsukiko beforehand. He was sitting, down with his knees up to his chest. His arms hung loosely over his knees and his eyes were shut. He actually looked peaceful and not-so-scary at the moment. He was asleep. It also appeared that Hei had taken his other katana from Tsukiko during their short trip to the area, since they were both wedged between his legs and torso, and leaning against his left shoulder.

Tao opened his eyes after Tsukiko had sat down, he had felt them both walking in but thought it was Hei and the other person he was sparring with. "Uhm, sure..." He stood up and stretched lightly, "I'm still a little weak from earlier, but I'll be fine." He cracked his knuckles, and did what could only be explained as a wiggle to loosen his body up.

Ryo walked slowly into the training room, peering around for a short minute. He noticed Tsukiko in the corner sitting in front of Tao. Ryo looked around and spotted the captain, who appeared to be dozing. Walking slowly up to him, he felt that after watching Hei's attitude towards him in the 4th squad training grounds, he would be the last person Hei wanted to be woken up by. Ryo crouched down in front of the captain and whispered "Captain, you said you wished to fight me." He looked quickly around the training room involuntarily, as if waiting for some sort of attack from Hei, but it did not come. Despite looking peaceful, Ryo knew that Hei was quite unpredictable to him, but nonetheless stayed crouched patiently waiting for a response.

"You sure? Alright..." She too rose to her feet and looked up at him. Being unhuman, it was hardly necessary for her to crack her knuckles or even loosen herself up in such a manner. She made the first move, a simple punch to his stomach which was as high as she was comfortable going. It was a strong punch, she was a Gynoid after all. It was like using metal to hit someone. Add that to the fact that her strength was already augmented from being a shinigami.
Hei didn't rouse for a minute or so, on the contrary he was quite still. Then, without warning, he brought his right hand up and aimed a flick of his finger at Ryo's forehead. He grunted and lowered his hand. "Fight the new guy... He'll be here soon."

Tao jumped upwards, bounding off her arm and landing behind her. "Well that's no fair, I wasn't ready!" He smiled and took a few steps backwards. That punch would have hurt... He eyed his side momentarily where Hei had kicked him, and then back to Tsukiko. "I guess I'm ready now."

Yoshi walked into the squad 12 training barracks only to see the lieutenant and one of her subordinates training. He came in time to watch the strong punch delivered by Hei. He then saw the Shinigami perform a impresive feet as he jumped over the lieutenant and land behind her. He watched in awe as Tsukiko greacfully leaped over the vice captain. His eyes lite up with enthusiasm as that seemed to give him want to fight all the more. Yoshie kept his distance away from the two fighting and saw a lone Shinigami standing away from the fight.
Yoshi walked up to him and inspected him with his eyes gazing over all of his body parts. 'Seems rather calm and collective, may this is the guy.. He thought to himself as he gathered his thoughts as to what to say for a first impression. He walked over the Ryo and smiled opening his mouth to talk. "..Y..You must be ryo right...? Well I am Yoshi.... Yoshizawa, nice to meet you, I think I am here to fight you. How would you like this to start off".
Being very friendly yet the urge to fight was radiating off of him sending a signal to everyone that he was ready to start showing off his skills. With no one seeing his Shikai or even his fight prowess he knew that he had an advantage but so did Ryo. He awaited in anticipation for the Shinigamis response while tapping his toes silently to hide his impatience.
