The boy grinned, his tail giving a bit of a wag as it dropped from his fingers. "Okay!" He pushed himself up to his feet and took the girls hand. "Uh... where is it?" He asked, looking about.

Saedah had to look around herself as she took Cassi's hand firmly. She tended to attatch herself to people once she got to know them. Raising her small hand she pointed in the direction she was pretty sure the closest vending machine was. She was pointing to the corner Cassi had just come around from.
"I t..think its this way. I ..h..have only seen it in passing a couple of times." she addmitted.

Cassi looked to where she was pointing. He'd just come that way, but he hadn't been looking for vending machines. He could've passed one! He had been so excited about possibly seeing Kate that he hadn't paid much attention.
"Okay."

Holding the smaller childs hand she felt a bit more brave. Perhaps because he was scared and she didn't want him to be scared. Even as nervous and scared as she was...she wanted to put on a brave face for him.
Moving forward she went back around the corner Cassi had come around and then went in search of the vending machine her small purse clutched tightly with her other hand.
Minutes passed...and for a while she wondered if she went the wrong way. She couldn't find the veding machine that taunted her in her memory. Chewing on her lower lip as she felt it tremble she stopped to think.
"I...t..thought it was th..this way.." she murmured in a wavering tone.

Cassi was happy to have someone taking charge. Kate did that. She was good at it. She always had good ideas on what to play, too. And now this girl was leading the way on an adventure. Slightly scary adventure, but there was the chance of running into Kate.
He glanced at Saedah as she seemed to get nervous. "Maybe it's just farther?"

Saedah chewed on her lower lip unsure really if that was the case, a little further? It felt like they had been moving forever. She tried not to crush Cassi's hand in her's as she really wished she had stayed home. Her other hand though freely crushed the small purse against her chest.
"M...maybe..." she mused as she tried to put on a brave face even if she was wavering on her thoughts of turning around and heading straight home. But ..she couldn't abandon poor Cassi...could she? no...she wouldn't let herself do that. What would her father think if she abadnoned her new friend just because she was a bit scared?
Tugging Cassi forward she went to round the corner and sighed in releif as the machine loomed ahead of them on the far wall.
"Thank goodness..you were right." She perked back up as they had reached their goal.

Cassi grinned as the machine came into view. Yay! Their trip was a success! He peered about for signs of others as they made their way to the vending machine. No one around.
"Whoa..." The boy muttered in surprise. There were so many choices in this thing! How did someone pick just one!? They all looked good!

Saedah gave the boy a small smile as she then silthered up to the machine staring up at it like it was going to eat her. It was...bigger close up. She trembeled a bit fumbeling to open her little coin purse before looking to Cassi who seemed a bit enthralled with the machine.
"W..would you..l..like something?" She inquired with a slight stutter as politely as she could manage. Honestly non of the treats interested her, this was moer a personal goal she wanted to accomplish.

Cassi jumped a bit as Saedah asked him a question. He'd practically forgotten she was there! He shook his head. "N-no... thank you." At least he remembered his manners. While everything in the machine looked pretty and interesting, he didn't really know what any of it would taste like. Sweets and junk food just weren't a big thing in his home.

Well it seemed a bit pointless to have gotten there and not...bought anything. How else could she prove that she had actually made it to the machine? Taking out a few coins she added up what she had...which ended up being not much. The only thing she could afford were ..mints. Mints weren't bad.
"We..well we could share the mints.." She offered as she reached up to plink the coins into the machine one at a time. She pressed the buttons to get the mints and they plopped down with a clank into the bottom. She stared at it...she was suppose to put her arm in there?
Taking a deep breath she reached in after a moments hesitation and then managed to draw out the prize. A bt flushed she felt proud with her achievement and then showed the mints to Cassi.
"Look!" She beamed, "Are you ss..sure you don't want one?"

Cassi watched as the girl put money into the machine and pushed some buttons. The mints fell to the bottom with a little clank, causing the chihuahua boy to give a bit of a start. He hadn't been expecting it to make a noise like that! The boy almost gave out a cry as Saedah put her arm into the machine. It was going to eat her arm!!! But apparently the machine wasn't hungry and let her get the mints without even nibbling on her arm.
He peered at the mints. "I c-could try one..." he hesitantly started then remembered to add, "please."

Saedah had never come across someone more timid than herself, she felt the rising need to nurture and take care of Cassi. Adjusting her purse she then using both hands to unwrap a mint and then offered it to Cassi.
She smiled at him feeling pleasantly relieved that she escaped from this venture unmarred and untramatized. Once Cassi had taken his mint she went ahead to unwrap one for herself. She stared at the round pale white and mint ball before she tentatively licked it.
Peppermint. She was pleasantly surprised to find she liked the flavor and gave a little giggle as she finally popped the candy in her mouth.
"W..w...here do you l...live Cassi? I...a..c...ca.n take you home." She inquired.

The boy took the offered mint, looking at it for a moment before putting it into his mouth. The flavor was something different, but not terrible. In fact, he rather liked it. Perhaps he could get his mommy to get some more. The boy looked around in response to Saedah's question, frowning. He'd been so intent upon finding Kate that he couldn't remember which way home was.
He thought for a moment. Mommy had taught him their address... what was it? "3..." Yeah, the first number was a three... but there was more. "3... 4.... 341!" Cassi smiled upon remembering it. He just hoped those numbers meant a bit more to Saedah than they did to him. He knew those numbers were on their door, but he wouldn't know how to use that knowledge and find the way to his door.

The look she gave him was a very I have no clue what you are talking about sort of blank expression. She tried to compose herself and figure out the next step. Should she take him home with her and ask her daddy for help? She gave a mental nod. Maybe that would be the best thing..
"W..why..d..don't w..we get help from my Daddy," she offered with a soft smile, "Daddy will know where you live.." She stated with a nod of her head the pink hair moving about her face in a cute manner. She offered Cassi her hand in a shy gesture of trying to be kind and helpful. She couldn't leave Cassi alone that was just mean.

The boy was a little nervous when she said something about her daddy. But... daddys were good people. Just like Kate's daddy. "O-Okay." He took Saedah's hand again, taking comfort from that. She wouldn't let her daddy hurt him, right?
