She didn't have friendly conversation? He raised an eyebrow - he didn't get offended. But he did get surprised, and this showed in his expression as he regarded her carefully, curious about the way she was acting. It was almost as if she was scared of something...or someone? She looked to the ground, a clear sign of worry and fear, but she soon had that mask back on. He chuckled inwardly - yes, she certainly was a stubborn one.
He sighed, "I've got a feelin' ya won't answer, but why not? It's a free country, isn't it?" Another pause, his expression going serious, "Nothin' I can help ya out with, is there?"

"Not for everyone," 'Di muttered before she could stop herself, her mouth snapping shut as soon as the words left it. This was getting bad. It had been so long since she had talked to someone not under his control that she was having trouble keeping her secrets. She should just leave. Run away and hide for a little while and then go back to the den. He wouldn't be missing her, after all.
Actually, he just might, she never knew with her "captor". For all she knew, he was storming about the den, growling about her not being there. "No, no there's nothing you can do to help- I mean, I don't need any help," she replied, taking a step backward.

He sighed again. He was getting nowhere. All that she was telling him with her lies and muttered comments - which he heard quite clearly - was that she was clearly living in fear from someone. She was doing a rather crap job of keeping things secret, to be honest. Or maybe he was just doing a good job at finding them. Who knew?
"Listen, bub," he started, reaching a paw up to rub his temple. He was getting a headache, man, "Clearly something's going on here that you don't want me to know about. And fair enough, 'kay? That's your business. All I'm trying to do is make some light conversation, y'know?"
He sighed again, lowering his paw and watching her. "D'you want me to just leave?"

'Di took a slow breath, pulling herself back together. When she looked at the stranger again, there was nothing on her face. Her mismatched eyes were hollow, empty. "Be careful were you go. In this place, there are creatures so evil that they would tear their own mate apart and attempt to drown their pups in her blood," she warned before turning and fleeing into the brush. She hoped she had done the right thing. It seemed like all she did was make the wrong choice nowadays.

Logan's eyebrows furrowed fully, his head even dipping a little in concern at the tone of her voice, and further still at the words. What had she experienced, to speak such bitter words? He wasn't surprised when she suddenly turned and fled, but his first instinct was to run after her. He stopped himself, though, pulling himself up with another sigh. Something was going on around here - he was certain of that. She'd been scared - terrified - of someone.
Perhaps he would hang around here a little longer. With a snort, he turned, heading off to the nice place he'd found earlier for a nap.
