" Yes... I sought you. For five seasons... It was a bit silly, I know. You are obviously more than capable to take care of yourself, but.. I suppose, I just wanted to.. to see you again. " She hummed out, giving him a smile. " For you to stumble across me, when I had almost given up hope, it could indeed be the work of fate."
She glanced down at his words, as her tail slowly swished back and forth a bit behind her, across the floor of the cave. " It is safe for me to sleep tonight, then..? You will still be here when I wake? " She asked a bit unsure. She had not liked the painful, abandoned feeling that had struck her the last time, when she had been unable to even say goodbye, or wish him a safe journey.
" Even if you say it.. Doing things for others seems to be all I know how to do. " She smiled, shaking her head. " I don't not know what would complete my own life. Perhaps to just have someone, like Ilori does... "
She frowned a bit as he again questioned her if it was alright for him to even be there, but quickly it returned to a smile. " Altair... Please relax. I give you my word that you are not only welcome here, by all members of the pride, but you are also safe here. Nor hard will befall you in these lands. So relax. " She said softly, and sincerely. " You are always welcome, and wanted here... "

Smiling softly, he murmured a thank you and shifted against her, resting his head across her neck. Yes, this was nice. He felt a lot safer being with someone. "I'm truly sorry about that, Makhi. And no, I won't go sneaking off again without saying goodbye. I promise you that."
He released a deep breath and allowed himself to relax. "It is something I could get used to. This feeling of being secure. Being out there all alone isn't good for the state-of-mind."
He closed his eyes, feeling a desperate urge to just stay and forget about running. Would his brother really come this far in search of revenge? He truly had no idea. "You have done so much for me, Makhi. If there's anything I can ever do for you, be sure to ask, won't you?" He held back a yawn and smiled. "Would it be rude of me to sleep in your company?"

" I need no apology. That promise is more than enough. " She smiled softly, eyes sliding shut in contentment as she felt his head rest against her neck. She would prefer he didn't leave at all... That was something he could do for her, wasn't it? Stay? But no... She could not voice such a thing. It was far to selfish, and she felt guilt by simply thinking it.
What reason could she possibly give him, for wishing him to stay? She had very little to offer, aside from the promise he should be safe here, from whatever he ran from. There was very little stupid enough to try to take on a pride a large, and as old as this one. They had the added advantage of the structures, and tools left behind by the very creatures that had once held her captive, as well.
If true danger came upon them, they could hide themselves within the walls, and seal the doorways. Perhaps she could give him a tour, and show him the amazing temples tomorrow...
" Not in the least... Sleep, Altair. We may both get some rest, in this safe place. I will keep you warm. " He smiled, curling a bit closer into him, as she relaxed, and began to slip off herself. She was still in recovery from the birthing that had not been long ago, and she'd had a long day of patrol. Rest sounded perfect.

With a smile he relaxed into the embrace of sleep and for the first time slept without worry, without nightmare. It was as if she shielded him from all things bad.
And when morning came he would find himself more refreshed than he had been since the day he had left his pride. No. Since the day he had left her out in roguelands.
(( would you like me to set up another RP? ^_^ ))
