Eli shook his head " We don't know much yet and just the typical traditional stuff that I don't know a lot about." He knew it did normally work though, that he'd had a broken arm heal in three days and seen fevers disappear almost as quick as they'd come on some of his trips to the oasis. He understood a little of his cousin's culture and their ways but his infrequent and relatively trips to the Oasis meant he never really soaked up a lot of information. At least in so much as he didn't know exactly how their magic worked half the time, he marveled at it but he'd never been all that keen to learn about it.

Mmm, Uzi cared for Eli and Kell in her own way though she felt they didn't need much caring for, they were both full grown by their species standards. They all seemed to have strange bonds then, Orpheus referred to his owner as brother, well and everyone else practically, Lauss seemed to have no actually attachment to Lee , Rhian was .. something and Ziazan was family. As she flicked her tail back and forth uzi wondered if this was random or also part of their purpose but unspoken, the way in which an essentic fit into it's master's life.


A small thought that had been slowly nagging at Uzi over the past little while surface again and feeling comfortable with this odd older, wiser essentic Uzi felt free to ask it. " We are all different, but we are all essentics, am I supposed to care about the others?" It was hard to imagine becuase for Uzi there had always been a line with her and a select few on one side and everyone else on the other, not evil horrible beings but not special enough to warrant concern for either.

" Thank you , I'll ask my uncle later if he'd be willing." That he was willing enough to give up on his converted people's healing to seek treatment from accredited doctors in Vargash was a sign he might go for it though and Eli was open to as many avenues as possible.


Uzi made soft rumbling noises and she took in this information. " I see" She didn't really , it had explained nothing expect that maybe there was something odd with her that she did not connect easily if at all with others." I have no yet met Crux, I would like to meet another combat type." Just to see how different or the same they were and if he could fly, everyone she met could fly.

Eli smiled and nodded as he finished his beer not sure what else to say, he had never been good with smalltalk. Still he was enjoying this, a chance to relax, talk and the exchange of help between friends, maybe like Uzi he needed to socialize more and not less.

" I have met Rhian, she is talkative" Uzi agreed, then again Uzi herself had been conversational that day if more focused on getting answers than general chatting. The orange armored proto reached out with a paw to drag a fallen card closer to examine it " What are these?" Zia too seemed to bring out Uzi's curiosity.

" Do they do anything special?" The essentic asked while better analyzing the picture. Eli had explained to Uzi about influences and the proto understand the concept to a degree. She wasn't sure what hers were or would be,if she liked anything enough to want it to be a part of her, although from the sounds of it she didn't necessarily have a choice. The huntress was more than willing to have influences if they held some special purposes or would make her stronger. Improving herself was still always Uzi's main goal, the combat type never did feel complete enough.

Uzi's golden eyes glowed brightly with interest in the fading light, though she was disappointed that the cards held no special purpose." How does it work, this fortune telling?" Her ears flicked a little listening to the calm breathing of the men a few feet away and the distant sound of the carnival.

Hands, Uzi really needed hands, she loved her paws but it seemed like hands were so much more useful and they were capable of holding and creating weapons just as good as her paws and claws. That Ziazan manged to do something difficult looking with one hand was impressive, the alter might be more dangerous and skilled than Uzi had first assumed. The proto stared at the card, how did it know? How did Zia know? Uzi was silent as she contemplated this

Uzi reached out to gently grip the with her teeth careful not to damage it. " thank you." The lion like essentics words were a soft purr now and her eyes had dimmed. Gratitude was not a feeling she had experienced often but it existed now. Perhaps likes Lauss, Ziazan was one of those that Uzi could consider a friend, not one she was as close to as Eli but more important to her than everyone else.

Silently Eli reached over and retrieved the card, tucking it in his pocket for safe keeping. Uzi had no way to hold onto such things other than her mouth and he doubted the proto wanted to be doing that until she got home.

It seemed that these people or perhaps it was this place were capable of soothing even the most dedicated hunters into tranquility.
