Achal laughed at Ban'mas reaction. "I thought that maybe you would like for me to forget that I found you stuck in a tree. I do so hope that you could not drink up the whole watering hole fore there would be none left for me," he teased lightly.

Achal found himself laughing again, "My dear one as lovely as you could never drink like a water buffalo, but fear not I shall help you in your endeaver not to."

Achal seemed not to notice the light taps, he was enjoying Ban'ma's company to much. Even if he noticed it would not bother him. Achal shook his head at her question, "No I do not leave with them. They are grown and we are all off on our own now. I miss them dearly and I hope to check on them one day, but for now I travel to an unknown destination. I am currently a lion all my own."

"What of you Ban'ma?"

Ban'ma peeled her ears back as she smiled sheepishly. "Heh, I'd like it, but if you forgot everything then you wouldn't be living, would you?" She bumped him lightly in play before prancing a bit ahead with a giggle. "You'll only get some if you get there before me!"

She couldn't help, but to laugh along with him. It was contagious! She hadn't been this happy in a long time and it felt good to bask in it. "Oh, well, thats too bad. I'm sure you'll meet back up with them soon, if you really hope for it."

When asked about her own situation, the lioness staled. It was obvious the question had taken her by surprise. She lowered her head slightly, ears pulled back. "My pride more or less dispersed. It wasn't...safe for us to be together anymore." Ban'ma hadn't spoken of the event since it happened. It was a bitter reminder of what family could do. "Alot of people I cared about died, so I left." Her voice was a low whisper. She sighed and looked down at her paws before looking back up to Achal with a sad smile. "I'm all on my own as well. "

Achal smiled and trotted to catch up with Ban'ma bumping her back lightly, "You won't beat me I'm sure." He continued to laugh happily feeling very playing. He felt he'd be doing more splashing then drinking, but it mattered not.

Achal smiled brightly, "I do really really hope for it."

His happiness dispersed some when Ban'ma responded to his questio. He had not meant to make her sad. He moved closer and nuzzled her slightly. "I am very sorry that you are on your own now, but a least right now you are not alone."

Achal gave a a bright smile trying to make her happy again and was feeling very glad that he could now see the waterhole. "We are almost there, " he whispered. "Its just up ahead."

Ban'ma closed her eyes and purred, her smile gaining some of it's warmth back. She returned his touch, rubbing her cheek up against his shoulder before bumping him back with a laugh. It felt better to laugh off the past than to dwell on it, exspecially with Achal smiling like that.

"Really?" She chirped, squeeling when she spotted the waterhole. The lioness grinned at him before trotting some ahead, gaining a little speed with each step. "If your so sure you'll beat me, let's see you prove it."

Ban'ma took off at a run, casually looking over her shoulder as she laughed. Her balance not being the best in the world caught up to her and she tripped, stumbling some, but catching herself before her face hit the dirt. "I meant to do that!" She called back.

Achal laughed slightly at Ban'ma's reaction to the watering hole. When she ran ahead he quickly trotted forward to catch her. Then Ban'ma tripped and Achal stalled, but her words nearly made him fall over laughing.

Once he had his wits about him he was off again, "I'm gonna catch you."

He wasn't running to quickly and Ban'ma would surely win, but Achal was enjoying the freedom of the playful moment and did not mind letting her win.

Ban'ma's cheeks and ears burned with embarassment as she ran away from the preoccupied male. It wasn't intentional, but he was distracted and she could win!

The water just kept getting closer and closer, bigger and bigger. It seemed like she had only just got her heart rate up when her paws hit the water and she started tripping up again. First her forelegs crossed one another, causing her to veer to the left and by the time she righted herself her hind leg caught up. Ban'ma toppled into the water with a surprised yelp.

"Pffft!" Ban'ma blew out a mouthful of water after resurfacing, well up to her neck in cool water with her mane flopping over her right eye. It took her a moment, but when it struck her she grinned. "I beat you! You didn't catch me cause I got here first!"

Achal was slightly surprised to see Ban'ma increase he speed, but did not try to catch up with her. He watched her as she ran and grinned when she tumbled right into the water.

When she shouted out that she beaten him he simply grinned and increased his speed, quickly reaching the waters edge and jumping right it. He splashed water everywhere and laughed brightly. "You won, but I made a splash, " he teased.

Achal stood and shook the water from him mane looking much like a magestic king, then dipped his head to take a drink. He was much more thirsty than he imagined he could have been, but he set the example for Ban'ma and kept himself from drinking sloppy.

When he finished he moved closer to the water edge and lay down enjoying the cool feel of the water soaking into his fur and cooling his skin.

"What are you-?" She was cut off by her own squeel as the water from his splash hit her in the face. Ban'ma's head was still leaning back after the waves dispersed and with a laugh she splashed him back with a swipe of her paw. "Oh, talk it up, big boy." The lioness rolled her eyes.

Ban'ma wadded to the shallower end and looked up just to catch a beautiful sight...and be pelted by mini-water bullets. Still, he had a certain charm to him when he did that. She dipped her head down, concentrating on keeping her paws the same distance apart as he did. It was alot harder to drink when all she was thinking about was how she was supposed to look while doing it, but she supposed in time it would come more easily to her.

She shook the water off and checked herself briefly in the water's reflection before joining him. "That felt so good and it's very beautiful here. Thank you for suggesting we come."

Achal smiled and chuckled slightly. Ban'ma was beautiful and he breifly wondered if she new just how pretty she was.

"Your welcome. It is rather peaceful here." He yawned slightly and shivered as chill ran down his spine. "I could almost fall asleep in the water, but that would not be wise."

Achal looked around for a moment before he noticed some tall grasses beneath a few medium tree. He wondered if maybe they would be suitable for an afternoon nap.

"I fear that all of our adventures today have made me rather tired. What do you say we take a nap? Their are some grasses over their by the trees that seem like a suitable place to rest."

Achal looked to Ban'ma with a smile on his maw waiting patiently for an answer. He had no idea why but her did not feel like parting ways just yet.

Ban'ma yawned, feeling the wear and tear of todays events as she involuntarily copied his action. She rubbed at her eyes with a clubbed paw. "If you had gills you could." The lioness nodded solemnly, "But then you would be one freaky lion."

She inspected the grasses with a lazy eye, much more ready to just follow his judgement. Nodding, she stood up, looking down at her found companion. He was a little odd in some ways, but she could see a good heart when she saw one. Ban'ma didn't have any reservations about sticking with him, even in a vulnerable state such as sleep, and merely yawned, "Come on then," before lopping off.
