"When we went to the moon we found out that all the stars are actually children who carry the stars around in their lanterns. But they are so far away that all we can see is the light from their lanterns. And she is Polaris and she is my friend so I snuck her back here with us. She leaves every night though around sunset because she has to go be the North Star." She quirked an eyebrow, "You live with people you don't know? You must have a VERY big house. I don't think I could live with people I didn't know. That would feel weird."
-[And you know what they say about feien with big houses...*wink wink*]-

(( :: Snickers. :: They have big ... living space? XDD ))
"That make sense. They're too far away for us to notice them and for her to have to go back every night." Kojak smiled, nodding his head. He'd have to go talk to Freyr or Wren to see if they knew anything about that sort of thing. Freyr, he knew, had something to do with the stars -- Wren had said so.
"It is a big house." Kojak replied, tail swishing a bit from where it hung off the side of the hacky sack. "And I've met most of the others, but there are different kinds of ... creatures and pets in the house that I've not run into."

"We don't have enough space for too many people. Just me, and Mamma, and Shen, and my PixaMouse!" Hitomi fluttered over to her drawer and slipped down loud noises could be heard within and when her head reappears over the edge of the drawer her hair is mussed and her glasses are askew. But in her arms she holds a small blue mouse with a cloud pattern on her fur. Hitomi flaps back to her hacky sack and sits back down letting the little mouse scurry around the table top, "Her name is Eurydice. She stays with me in my drawer." Hitomi reaches up and readjusts her glasses.

"My home's rather large. It's Wren's house, but he has a wife and other children. There are some othing things in the basement, but I've not seen them yet ..." Kojak raised an eyebrow at the mentioning of a pixamouse, unsure if he had actually seen one yet. He had seen other kinds of pixas, but not a mouse. When Hitomi disappeared into the drawer, he stood up and watched for her to reappear.
Just what was she -- oh. Right. Getting the mouse. He sat back down, tail twitching and revealing a little of his curiousity. "So she's your pet then?" he asked, head tilting and watching the mouse move around the table top. After a moment he smiled up at Hitomi. Her mouse was ... well. Cute was probably a good word for it.

"The basement is scarey. I don't like ours, because there's always someone down there cause we share it with the rest of the building." She drops a rice grain sized food pellet the table and Eurydice scampers over to gnaw on it while watching Kojak suspiciously. "Yes, she's mine. Mamma bought her for me when I was still a flower. You should get one, they are lots of fun. Do you have any pets of your own?"

"I'm not sure what's in ours. There's all ways noises coming from it, but what's down there ..." Kojak shook his head, trailing off to say he did not know and he hadn't asked yet either. If he actually asked Wren though, he was likely to find out. He made a mental note to do so later on.
Kojak only gave Eurydice a curious look, briefly wondering why he was being eyed suspiciously by the pixa. Wasn't like he was actually up to anything. His tail twitched a little and he glanced back at Hitomi with a smile. "Oh, did she? Wren hasn't gotten me anything yet ... but he mentioned going shopping." He paused for a moment, turning to look back at the mouse. "And, no, I don't have any pets of my own. Not yet." He was still young, honestly.

"Mamma says that pets are a good way to teach responsibilityship," Indeed that was one of the largest words she'd used so far, it wasn't expected to be right the first time. "Maybe...if you want to...we could go by the Pixa shop sometime and see if they have any for sale." She blushed a bit. She still got nervous being around Kojak, even after being around him for a couple hours now. She made a mental note to ask Mamma why she always felt this way. At about this point a small sprocket, the lunar one, came whizzing up the stairs with a note taped to it's surface. It read, 'Are you two kids behaving? Do you need anything?' It was signed with a large heart. Hitomi rolled her eyes as she pulled the note from the sprocket, "Would you like anything Kojak? We have a lot of stuff down stairs that he could bring back up for us if you like."

... responsewhat? "Responsibility?" Kojak blinked, seeing if that's what she meant. He was, however, beginning to wonder about Hitomi and her blushing. Wren had clued him into what blushing could mean, but he didn't quite follow all that well -- more like he just didn't see it at this point. He gave her a smaller smile, one not quite as dazzling as he usually gave.
"That'd be okay, I think. I wouldn't mind having a pet of my own. Not sure when we'd be able to go, Hitomi, but I'd like too ..." If only to see the shop. Kojak was finally going to ask Hitomi if she was all right when the sprocket showed up. He leaned up, all most standing to peer at the thing, his tail twitching a little. "Well, something to drink?" He was a little thirsty, not really hungry since he had ate before coming along.

"Um...yes. That too." After getting his response on the offer of food she excitedly explaimed, "Okay! I'll tell Mamma to mix up some of her special juice stuff!" She grabbed a slice of nearby pencil lead and flipped the note over and scribbeled on it, in her best people sized handwriting, 'Yes Mamma, we are behaving. It would be nice if we could get some of that juice though. Thank you!' She then singed her name on the bottom of her note. (Like someone else would've replied?) and taped it back onto the sprocket and it whizzed back off.
After the sprocket came down stairs and got her attention Sarabi walked into the kitchen and mixed up a small glass of smoothie. She poured small ammounts into tiny Feien sized cups and carefully sat them on the now horizontal sprocket and sent it back upstairs.

"Special juice stuff?" What was so special about it? Kojak stared at the sprocket until it disappeared off with the note that Hitomi wrote. Turning it look at Hitomi, his tail wrapped around his leg for a moment. "... what is that thing?" The sprocket. It seemed to like to follow Hitomi around and he had seen others recently.
Then again, he could all ready here the thing back on it's way up the stairs. It might have been creepy, if he bothered to admit that.
(( x_X Sorry for the delay, got pulled away last night and then you were gone. X3 We'll get this done at any rate. >3 ))

"It's SO good. It's a bunch of different fruits that she uses and it's REALLY good!" The sprockets made her uneasy as well, but she found them incredibly interesting. "It's a sprocket. My mom bought 3 of them from this guy. She uses them for different things. She bought 3, but I've only seen two of them so far. There's an Air one that she sends with me sometimes when I go to new places. And that one, the Lunar one, she uses here. She doesn't like to yell so she'll send me messages with it. She says that eventually they'll learn to talk and we won't have to tape notes to it. The other one is supposedly Magnetism, but like I said, I havn't seen it yet."
It slowly whizzed up the stairs balancing the tiny plastic cups very carefully on it's flat side. It stopped just next to Hitomi who took a cup off, it then moved to Kojak.

Magnetism? Kojak nodded his head, listening and then trying to figure out the differences. Air was obvious and Lunar had to do with the moon, but magnetism was something else. He'd have to see into it later on after he left. "I'm sure if you like it so much, it has to be good." He meant the drink. "... though with all that sprocket following you and not talking. It has to be irritating sometimes." He could imagine it learning to talk and, well, somehow the sprocket was starting to remind him of his bonded.
Didn't know if that was a good thing or not.
"Thank you." Kojak murmured to the sprocket, taking his cup off of the surface. He gave it a curious look before focusing on the cup and taking a small drink.

"Yeah, it gets REALLY annoying to just know that they are theree and that apparently they have some way of communicating with Mamma. I got home a little late one night after losing Air and she knew every little detail."
Once Kojak and taken his drink the Lunar sprocket flipped on it's side like a coin until the side with the shiney blue moon was facing the both of them as if waiting for another reply. Hitomi merely looked at it through her thick glasses and blinked. It hastily whirred away.
Hitomi drank her juice blend quietly and smiled, "Do you like it. Mamma has told me what's in it quite a few times but I can never remember."

"I think I'd be the same way." Kojak lifted his eyes to watch the sprocket, his tail flicking from side to side a little as he studied the thing over the rim of his glass. "You can't do anything if there's all ways something watching you." Particularly if one was the sort with stage fright.
Watching the sprocket whir away, Kojak had to shake his head. It was an odd thing, very odd. He lowered his cup, cradling it in his hands and smiled at Hitomi. "It's very good," he replied, "but I guess I won't ask what's in it then." He was teasing, all most.

"Hard to do anything fun at least..." Hitomi took a few more silent sips of her juice before an apparent light bulb went off over her head, "Wanna see my room? I decorated it myself! Mamma let me paint the walls and I painted pictures and put them on the walls. I even made my own bed!" Hitomi drained the rest of her cup and wiped off a little bead of juice running down her chin.
