"No, I'm afraid it's not always like that for some," he said as gently as he could, patting the younger boy on the head. It wasn't that he couldn't find someone, he had found one or two already. He was just more logical than that. "But no doubt you're correct for most people. Why don't you get her a balloon, as well?"

Joshua blinked in surprise. It was always like that in story books--people always found their true loves and lived happily ever after. That's how it was supposed to go. He decided not to comment on it, it might be a sore subject for the older boy. "Yeah, I'll get her a balloon too." He smiled up at Antony. "Thank you."

"Glad I could help," Antony said blandly. He had once had a prince complex, too, he reminded himself. No doubt the kid would grow out of it soon enough.

Joshua looked up at the older boy. "Sure you don't want help looking for a gift for your Dad?" He asked, with a slight tilt of his head. "Since you helped me--I'd be glad to help you."

A tiny smile pulled at Antony's lips and he spoke honestly, "No. Of all the people I know, I think he's the one I'm most comfortable picking a gift for." He looked at the boy. "Thanks, though."
