Cody refrained from sticking his tongue out as Pepper didn't think his pun was all that amusing. Ah, well, it was funny to him and that was all that mattered for the most part. Moving closer to the door, he paused as Pepper lifted up his hand, waiting.

"Sure. Grabbing the entire box, I assume?" Cody questioned, hand lightly resting on the door handle. The familiar surge of adrenaline that flowed through his veins before a particularly difficult, or new, stealing expedition heightened his senses. Doughnuts... He could smell them sitting on something near the door. Where exactly, he hadn't a clue. At least he had a good starting point...

Slowly, he twisted the handle and opened the door just enough to look in and get a good look at the room. Only a couple of techs reading the newspaper or looking over clipboards. None of them were even paying any attention or noticing that the door was slowly sliding open and a red-haired spawn sliding into the room.

"Drat, they're put high on a shelf," he whispered to Pepper, wondering vaguely if he could fly high enough to grab them. Sure, climbing up wouldn't be all too difficult, but that would cause far more commotion and possibly alert the techs to someone taking their precious doughnuts.

Cody couldn't help, but giggle at how much the techs were freaking out over Pepper's sudden appearance. To him, it looked like he was merely trying to shred the edges of the tech's coat. Yet, there wasn't any time to sit around and watch for he had to get the doughnuts whilst they were still distracted.

Aiming for the counter, the red-haired spawn ran as hard as he could before suddenly jumping into the air. He hovered for a moment as his wings quickly opened and flapped to keep him there. He didn't have long, being exhausted from earlier, but he didn't need long anyways. Reaching out, the child managed to climb onto the high counter and stand, grabbing the doughnuts on the top shelf.

"Got them!" he called out to Pepper, jumping down nimbly and easily getting out the door and a little ways down the hallway. The scent of the doughnuts were giving him a mini sugar high. Already he was wishing there was more that they could steal within the facility other than the box of doughnuts he held in his hands.

Cody grinned, opening the box of doughnuts and glanced at the contents. There were half a dozen left, meaning they could each have three if they truly wanted. "Well, I am part greed so I have to be good at stealing stuff. How else would I get things if everyone caught me?" he asked with a soft smirk before holding out the box of doughnuts to him.

"Want one?" he asked, knowing that if he ate one he would be thieving and twitchy for the next hour or so until the sugar high wore off.

"Or... Is there somthin' else we can steal or chase?"

Cody frowned. So... they had stolen the doughnuts mostly because they good. How delightfully boring. "Nah, bad idea for me t' have sweets. Trust me," he replied, placing the box on the ground for the techs to find later.

"Your room? Sure, why not?" he replied, pondering what else they could do. They could have thrown the doughnuts at the techs, but their fun would be short-lived, since there wasn't that many anyways.

Cody blinked at Pepper's challenge before grinning wickedly and chasing after him. Sure, he couldn't run as fast as him, but he could certainly use his wings to aide him in hopes of at least making it close.

Slowly, Cody started pumping his wings to get the hang of doing so whilst he was partially in mid-air and so they didn't slow him down. After a minute of carefully changing the timing, he began to catch up. Little by little, he closed the gab between him and Pepper. All the while, he wondered where exactly they were going for he hadn't the foggiest of ideas as to where Pepper's room was.

He'd probably end up running straight into him and break his nose when they finally got there. Pepper's skin looked about as forgiving as cement in someone ran into it... or fell on it.

Cody grinned as Pepper skidded around the corner and stopped as he slammed into the wall. That gave him just the chance he needed to get ahead! Picking up speed, he easily slid around the corner without losing too much momentum and continued on.

He continued to glance back to see if Pepper had stopped or not, not wanting to get lost as they ran around the facility to Pepper's room. "Where are we stopping?" he called out over his shoulder with a small grin. He'd only stop when Pepper did, finding it far too much fun running around and forcing the random tech passing by to plaster themselves against the wall to avoid either Pepper or his wings.

Cody stopped by the door, panting hard. "Have... to be. Avoid... people..." he replied when he managed to catch his breath for a moment. It was true, Ary did chase him around a lot and he had to be faster than her in order to avoid the rough-housing female. Not only that, but she seemed to think that unless he was running around and active that it was her job to make sure he was.

"You're good too cause I only managed t' get ahead when you slowed down and dented the wall," the spawn replied, smiling softly as he turned to gaze up at the door. "This is your home?" he questioned curiously. Pepper lived at the facility... Wow, he felt extremely sorry for his new friend once again. Not a feeling he really enjoyed either.
