the first one i saw scared me so bad i started shaking. idk how but i created my own method of catching them on the DS version. the minute i hear it i move away from the area w/ trees. then i take out ma net nd circle the area. when i hear it they always come for me so i move from their jumping range and when they land i smack them w/ ma net my mom always gets bit tho .____."

I finally caught mine. I ended up running South, pulling out my net, lining myself up with it, and swinging when it was close enough for me to catch it. It, somehow, worked and made me zetta happy.
I never have to play Animal Crossing all night again.

ok i own at catching taranchalas so they usaly come out around 10-12 and when they jump out from a tree whitch there usaly on the back of the tree it makes a boing kinda noise and when it walks it makes a suffle noise so stay on gaurd and if u here the noise run and the come back

I was bitten by 2 tarantulas and a scorpion yesterday while I was busy with something. When I go to look for one, I don't find any.

i saw my first tarantula and scorpion on the same day >_>
sadly i had JUST accidentally sold my net when i clicked the wrong button. When i was able to get another net I found a tarantula
I freaked and it bite me emo

I haven't run into scorpions or tarantulas in City Folk but I've been stung by a scorpion and caught a tarantula in Wild World. When I first encountered the scorpion I ran through a large grouping of trees and discovered something big and scary had chased me out. I ended up running from it for about five minutes before attempting to escape into my house, where I was stung upon reaching my door. At least the bees are nice enough to leave me alone once I reach a door....
But when I found my tarantula in Wild World it was sitting on the ground. I think I must have seen it before it saw me because it didn't react at all when I snuck up from behind and got it in a net. Did they change some of the stuff on the two arachnids in City Folk?

Clair_of_kakoriko dont get bit... i did and i thought i died im thinking "how do u die on animal crossing... i must be really bad at it..." ive wanted to catch one ever since... U can't die on animal crossing.

I got bit once by a tarantula and once by a scorpion. I didn't see the tarantula that good, but the scorpion looks like a big brown thing that runs fast and attacks u.

Haven't seen a scorpion yet, but have been bit by the tarantula 3 times now. Once at the beach, once in front of Tom Nook's and once going by a house. They are sooo fast and come out of nowhere. I thought the music would be a giveaway and I'd have time to get my net out, but no luck yet.

I got bitten by a scorpian once. The first time i saw it, I screamed 'what the hell is that?!' and woke my friend up accidentally. sweatdrop

The first time I saw the tarantula, that sucker bit me. It scared the freakin' crap outta me. They make a weird creepy noise. stare

I finally caught one a couple days ago. *is proud of herself* I saw another one last night, but it committed suicide by jumping in the river. >__< I still have to catch a scorpion.
