The added whistling really interested Vangelis. He listened closely to the bells alone, and then the whistling alone, and determined they both went really well together. He hugged the leg Karma wasn't shaking to show his approval, before turning to Texas and pointing up to ask him to stand back up instead of squatting.

When Texas did, the little boy started swaying in his arms like he was at some kind of concert.

Texas chuckled. "Thanks, Karma. I think he's absolutely adorable myself." The little boy kept swaying with a grin from ear to ear, and Texas was almost mirroring the little boy's grin. "Are you whistling anything in particular?" She'd probably say something about Fate giving her the idea, but it was worth asking.

Karma smiled as the little guy hugged her leg. She then answered Texas, "No, I was just trying to match the bells." She whistled a bit more and then stopped. "I really haven't met any little ones before." That must be why Fate brought them here.

When Karma stopped whistling, Vangelis pouted a little, hoping it would get her to continue. When she started talking, though, he instead tried mimicking the whistling noises himself. It wasn't really working--the toddler was just blowing air out of his pursed lips--but sometimes a sound would come out of his mouth that sounded vaguely like a very faint whistle..

She hadn't met any kids before? Then again, it had been a while since there were little ones around the isle; most of the younger people he ran into were actually already adults. Perhaps it made sense anyway. "Well, I suppose you can't say that anymore," offered Texas, with a bright grin.

Karma smiled as the child tried to mimic her whistle. "Keep trying you can get it." It took a little wile to gain that skill, at least for her anyway. "Yes, that's very true. I'm glad to meet you and this little child." She was happy to meet a child, she wasn't sure she ever would, but then Fate always had her do what she needed to.

Vangelis' face was beginning to turn a little purple from all of the efforts he was making. Admittedly, he was a little amusing to watch. Though sometimes he would come up with some sort of whistle, the rest of the times were beginning to frustrate him and he began waving his arms around like a bird and continued to blow air out of his mouth, trying to get the whistle right.

Poor thing. Texas, chuckling, patted Vangelis and pushed his arms down with a free hand to calm him down. It seemed to work well enough, because he went back to simply blowing air out of his pursed lips. "I'm glad to meet you too."

((I've lost inspirations for this rp....Would you mind throwing a wish out for Karma. She rarely gets to use her power and I wanted to do some rp with it. Nothing big of course. lol))

Krama laughed and whistled for the child. "It takes practice." She told him as she didn't want him to try too hard. He was just a little guy.

(( Yeah, this kind of peetered out. Let me see what I can do. ))

Vangelis was getting frustrated, and he turned to Texas in his frustration. Then, he pouted. "I wish I could make pretty noises too!" He spoke quietly, a little whine from the child who hardly ever expressed himself in words. Texas laughed, patting the little boy on the head.

"Now darling, you'll get it eventually."

((Ok, so her power isn't god-moddy, so you choose how it can work. biggrin ))

Karma sucked in air and shook her head. "Why..." She muttered under her breath. Did he have to say, "I wish"? Karma didn't like what happened after that phrase was uttered. Maybe it will work out, this time. She stared at the boy and crossed her fingers as she waited.

The boy feels a little magic after his wish...almost like it's coming true...

After a few moments, Vangelis pursed his lips and tried again, at the encouragement of Texas. His eyes widened when the whistling actually worked correctly. Then, he tried it again, and to his delight, he didn't go back to blowing air out of his mouth. Gleefully, he clapped his hands together excitedly before trying to whistle a little tune to himself.

Now that was something that didn't happen too often. The demonic watched, a little wide-eyed as his little boy was suddenly able to whistle. Now he was expecting that his little virtuoso would get it eventually, but he wasn't expecting it to work immediately after he had said that. "Well, I told you you'd get it eventually," offered Texas, honestly a little baffled.

"Whew!" Karma breathed a huge sigh of relief. She was glad that the wish had been a good one, or at least achieved easily. Sometimes the wishes turned odd...

Karma smiled, "Yes, that was great." She looked at the child and then at the demon. She figured they had no clue it was the wish or at least she hoped they had no clue. She wasn't sure, but figured it would be bad if anyone realized. The only one who knew was Sol and he was gone for good.

Texas would have never pinpointed it to the wish Vangelis had just made and the idea that something to grant it. Though it was definitely confusing and Texas didn't understand how Vangelis had suddenly gotten the ability to whistle, he figured it was just a stroke of luck. Sometimes, he randomly ended up understanding things too, out of the blue, and there was no reason why this wasn't the same way. He kissed his little boy on the forehead before turning back to Karma.

...Why did she say 'whew?' That was a little weird, and Texas knit his brows, but he said nothing on it, though there was no reason for Karma to be relieved about anything... That was a little unnerving. "Indeed. It looks like little Vangelis got what he wanted after all.

The little faun nodded eagerly, before returning to his cheerful whistling.

"Yup, that's nice." She said and she winked at the little child. She was glad they didn't guess the truth. She didn't always love her power, but sometimes it did the right thing. Although, with Fate the right thing always happened, even if Karma couldn't see it clearly.

The sigh of relief and then the wink was a strange combination for Texas. He tilted his head at her as if observing her from a different angle would help him figure out why she was acting so strangely now. It was almost as if she had something to do with the fact that Vangelis could whistle... Nah. He had probably just oicked up the ability by watching her lips move while she was whistling enough times. It was nothing to particularly worry about.

Vangelis heard a bird make a call nearby, and decided that it would be a good idea to whistle back at the bird. The bird turned towards him and chirped at him, which the little boy seemeds to find amusing. He cheered and clapped his hands together eagerly before whistling at the bird again, liking the little exchange he was having with the local wildlife.

"How sweet." She said as the boy whistled at a bird and it chirped back. She then looked at Texas and smiled. "So, um, what brings you out here?" She wasn't great at starting conversations, but did want to know more about these two.

Texas chuckled. "Well, actually, Vangelis told me he wanted to come back and explore the forest he was originally born in, Loka Nei. So, we decided to go on a little adventure through the forest, and we ended up here, in the Fae Clearing. Nothing big, just an enjoyable afternoon of exploring the world together." It was always so interesting to hear the world through his toddler's ears; he loved noticing the things that Vangelis seemed to be far more attuned to than he was.

Vangelis was enjoying talking to the birds with his own little whistles. Though he didn't understand what any of it really meant, it sounded like a symphony of summer cheer, and the little toddler was adoring it all.
