It's a brilliant game, and it's not very expensive now. Admittedly it has it's flaws...it can be a bit repetitive and it's fairly short. However the developers have promised that they've fixed all the flaws of the first game in the second one, and from the gameplay footage I've seen, I'm sure they have.

i don't understand how the game is short?
compared with similar game of the genre it takes about the same amount of time to complete.

Compared with other games it probably isn't short but I'd heard alot of people say they wanted it to be longer. I mean, if you compare it to the latest TR games it's no short than that but we all know the latest TR games was rubbish and way too short.

@Evalad - I have no idea how much it is in dollars because I'm English but it's 2 years old now so it should be fairly cheap.

so it's not short then it's perfect for that type of game?
If you want a long game stay away from platformers and action games.

To me, action games have only become short recently. They never used to be, so I never considered it a typical feature of the genre. I adored the Prince of Persia trilogy (excluding the latest (4th) one) and they're of a similar genre yet I don't consider them to be short. To me, Uncharted is too short, but then it seems like games of the past 2 or 3 years are short because people don't seem to enjoy longer games stare

@Martial spirit - Yeah, the trophies make it replayable. Apparently they are doing more to make Uncharted 2 more relayable, and there is also a multiplayer mode where I think you can play as Nathan or a bad guy or his new female sidekick.

I can't remember a action game that took me over 10 hours to complete, so for me they are all short.

I suppose the Ninja Gaiden series could give you a run for your money...considering the fact of its infamous difficulty. I took me about.....an hour to compete the first level Of Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox.

Well, I got Uncharted 2 on release date, and beat it in one sitting. It was definitely one of the best gaming experiences of my life. And possibly my favorite game on the PS3 to date...

I'm glad you like it so much! but beat it on one sitting? gosh. I'm playing it on hard and taking my time. I really want the game to last. I don't get much time to play it anyway but I like just looking around the environments because they are so beautiful!

Well, the developers said they tried designing the game so that it would be hard for a person to put down the controller. And it worked on me, oh so well.
I did beat it a second time since. And finished up to and including the train level the third time. But I still have to tackle hard and then crushing mode.

I'm playing it through on Hard for the first time round. I don't want it to be too easy.

It's actually pretty damn challenging. But good luck.
Actually, I should've started on Hard as well. Because if you beat it on Hard your first time, then you get the Trophies for beating it on Hard, Normal AND Easy, all in one. Meaning you'll save yourself the trouble of beating it with those modes just to get the trophy.

That's cool. I'll play it through once on hard and then again to try and find all the treasures...and then again if I don't find them all. I'll probably play it on Normal when looking for treasures. I quite like the distance between checkpoints...if you die during a gunfight at least it usually puts you back at the start of the gunfight, and not half way through....otherwise it'd be too easy.

But after you beat it on hard, it unlocks the Crushing difficulty. I haven't triede that yet, but it was hell and a half in Uncharted 1, so I imagine Uncharted 2 is... That much more unforgiving. twisted

I only got through the first few levels on Crushing on Uncharted 1...I think I got up to the level where Nate firsts see the crashed plane in the tree and Elena's parachute. so yeah...that's basically nowhere lol!

Boy, the platinum for this was a chore...
Talk about intensive treasure hunting.

Does anyone else think it's a little too easy? I'm up to chapter 12 and so far I've only died a few times although I'm playing it on hard...I'm sure uncharted 1 felt alot harder than this when I played it on hard.
