The stallion, Morigi had a good idea. Counting backwards from ten in his mind Laures fought to restore his breathing to normal levels. Though listening to what Morigi said he also had to fight embaressment.
"Very well. My name is Laures, I love to fly. The freedom in the sky, the wind slowly caressing your body and cradling you close to her heart..." His voice trailed off, a favorite memory of flying over a summertime meadow, blossoms everywhere, the scent calming. " And I guess, I hate water in it's myriad forms, ruining my wings and rendering me unable to fly."
Getting this off his chest, Laures was pleasantly surprised to note his irritation had fallen to manageable levels. Nodding his head in the direction of Morigi he tried to convey his relief. "Thanks."

Morigi nodded.
"see, it's good to relax a bit. You must be so happy when flying, I myself wouldn't, even if I do get dirtier. To each his own though.
a thought came to his mind then, " is there anything you wanna say to me?" unknowingly giving his flirty wink again.

For one who was born to and raised by a bard, and was a poet/singer/storyteller in his own right, Laures was kept near speechless. This stallion was unlike anyone else he had ever met, and he was unsure how to react.
There was that flirting wink again. Laures realised he probably didn't know when he was doing it, all the times, but somehow, that wasn't overly encouraging. Was there anything he wanted to say to the stallion? Yes there was some things. Like "thanks for putting everything into perspective" maybe. Or maybe "thanks but no thanks."
But what came out was far different from either of his ideas, much like his mouth wasn't connected to his brain. "What's it like? Being gay I mean?"

Morigi had to keep his mouth shut to keep from laughing. Man this guy is interesting!
"well, I just like spirited lively vixens, and handsome pretty boys who tend to shy away, it makes the chase more interesting,"
Twitching his tail he turned around Laures," sadly, your not my type, plus I have at least 4 girls vying for my attention."

"Oh? I just... well I thought..." Laures stammered uncomfortably. How could he have been wrong? He had known of the possibility of being straight or gay, he'd never heard of liking both, the sheltered, naive flutter that he was. But at least that set his mind at ease. Morigi might flirt with him, but he wasn't the other stallion's "type".
"Sorry," he apologised again. It seemed that that was all he was doing. "I'll just shut up now."
He tilted his head trying to encourage his mane to fall forward and to hide his face. Really, wouldn't the earth just open up beneath his hooves and swallow him up? Put him out of his and everyone else's misery?

Morigi smiled, a very complex smile.
"Man don't tell me.. I winked again... Please if you see me start to strut, please stop me!" He knew he was a big flirt... but man!
"but do tell me, what is your type?"

Laures returned the smile with a grateful one of his own, and nodded his agreement with Morigi's request. Canting his head Laures considered how to answer. What was his type? Did he even have one?
There was one thing he knew for sure, and that was race meant nothing to him. He was drawn not to a specific trait, rather he was one drawn by personality. There were a few qualities he looked for in particular, but if he clicked with a mare, those traits could be considered non-important.
A simple question, but with a myriad of complex ways he could answer.
"I guess I'm not so much attracted to features or qualities. Rather, one could say it is the heart that matters." He blushed. A true romantic at heart, most would consider him to be feminine because of it, but he would defend his views against anyone and everyone who made fun of him for it.

Laures spluttered and stammered. "W-what!?"
He had been termed, at times, naive and maybe childish, but innocent? His foalhood had not been an overly easy one, and he had seen such things as no one should ever have to, so he didn't think of himself as such, but as this encounter was seeming to prove, maybe he was- if only in matters of flirting, lust and love.
Then there was the second part of the other stallions accusation. Him, afraid? He had lived through what most had only seen in nightmares and come out whole. There was nearly nothing that could frighten him.
So what started out as a blush was quickly driven away by a rising anger, and as he puffed up and was ready to deliver some kind of retort when the question truly registered. Wasn't anger and indignation really just one form of covering up fear?
"Maybe? I guess... I just don't know."
And if that wasn't the hardest thing he'd had to say!

This flutter kept surprising him, maybe he'll keep me entertained more than I thought...

This day was just not going his way, though he had to admit to himself if no one else that his boredom was definately gone. Even if it was at the expense of his dignity. He learned one thing from this encounter already, and that was he didn't like to be the source of entertainment for others.
He considered. He was definately complicated, more than the two dimensional figure most saw him as. Most only saw him as the ever happy-go-lucky gentleman, and while this was a large part of who he was, there was more to him than just that.
He was loyal and intelligent, even if it didn't seem so at times, and he had many deep-seated insecurities and a strong need to prove himself.
What did he think of himself? As he was missing most of his past, he was unable to truly know himself, so he was unsure of what he thought of himself. Lost in his own mind he didn't register the look of confusion that crossed his face.

Morigi watched as the expressions on the flutter changed making him reflect upon himself, maybe just maybe he should try to find a mare. NAH! he'll just take it as it comes! and that thought brought a smile to his face.

Laures snapped out of his thoughts and blushed, not with embaressment or any such emotion. Rather he felt the stinging weight of guilt. Here had had met with an interesting being, and all they had really talked about was himself.
And he really wasn't so self-absorbed or vain as to enjoy talking solely about himself. It was past time for him to take back some measure of control, and to find out more about this stranger, for stranger he still was for Laures truly didn't know that much about him. And if there was one thing Laures couldn't stand, it was being strangers after so long a conversation.
"What about you?"

Laures spluttered. That wasn't exactly what he had meant! How could everything he wanted to say come out so wrong.?
Then he considered. Not everyone was as open with their thoughts, feelings and emotions as he was, so maybe this was the best he could expect from someone whom he'd just met. But the idea seemed wrong somehow. All the others he'd met in his travels were more open than this.
It was rather flattering and more than a bit disconcerting, the attention he was being given by the other stallion. At least this was less uncomfortable than the earlier flirting.
Morigi seemed rather like him, at least a little, so it was rather easy to relate to and understand what he meant.
"There is such a thing as too much change and freedom though," he muttered softly under his breath, trying to keep it from the other as he tried to pull together his thoughts in a more coherent form than the last. "What are you like... or rather just who are you? Not this front you present to the world, but the you when no one else is around? There has to be more than just this flirty persona."
And truly, while the flirty persona wasn't too horrible, and he could get along with him just fine, he wanted to know the unicorn's true self- sure beyond doubt that he was someone worth knowing.
