His eyes closed as his breath deepened. His level of focus and concentration began to increase along with his perception. After another moment passed, he awoke from the meditative state. Eyes flung open, the captain set his sights on her and he made his move, disappearing without upsetting a single grain of sand. He reappeared to her right, swinging both swords aimed for her mid section.

Kasuki grinned and flipped her barbed sword out to where it caught both of the swords. Her eyes widened as she spoke, "Get him, Nicu." The white tiger jumped over Kasuki and came crashing down on the other captain.

"HAHA! How's it feel?" Kasuki laughed and put her hand on her hip, he other hand on her sword.

Ryuunosake's special technique heightened his senses greatly and he dodged as soon as he felt the tiger coming. "You lack focus." His voice came from behind her, just before he swiped across with two slashes.

Without turning, Kasuki pushed her sword back to block both of the incoming attacks. "I do, eh?" She slowly turned around to face the captain and held up her other hand.

"Kurohitsugi," she said as a black coffin trapped the other captain.

He felt what was to come and prepared for the attack. He situated himself in such a way to protect his vital areas around the torso. The captain closed his eyes and reverted back to his meditative state.

Hundreds of tiny spears pierced the coffin, giving the captain some serious wounds, even if the spears didn't pierce his vital areas. He'd have trouble holding a sword now.

As the coffin disappeared, Kasuki and Nicu charged at him. Kaz put one hand in the sand, throwing some of it in Ryuunosake's face, temporarily blinding him. SHe leapt up into the air and brought her blade down on him while Nicu slashed at him with his front paws.

The meditation he performed allowed him to block out the pain through focus. He was well able to manage without sight. He raised one sword to redirect her downward slash and blocked the tigers slash. He stepped towards her and quickly slashed twice and kicked before coming in with the other sword to slash. His attacks seemed more quick, concise, and ruthless.

Hello : )
Please forgive my intrusion, but I've been reading through this battle and I have a few points to complain about.
I'm not picking on anyone and I'm not angry or flaming or anything, but if you're god-moding throughout this battle, you need to be told.

This will serve as some constructive criticism for both of you.

Let me start off by saying:

Good posts
Quote:
Kasuki closed both of her eyes and suddenly disappeared, appearing behind the other captain. She slashed at the captains back and then quickly jumped away, hoping to avoid taking any damage early-on in this battle. She skidded to a halt a few feet away, causing sand to fly in every direction

Quote:
Ryuunosake managed to take a step forward as soon as he saw her leave his sight. She was still able to cut into his back, but not deep, causing a slash through the squad seven symbol emblazoned on his white vest. 'bold . . .' he thought as he began to turn around. The sand obscured his sight. ' . . . resourceful.'

The Bad:
Okay, so I've decided not to make direct quotes from your posts. I'll just make a general comment.

Careful Lavi, you can't predict what the outcome of your attacks on Ryuunosake will be. I saw a few posts where you wrote the outcome of your attack. That is for Sireez to decide.

As for you, Sireez. Your shikai is well thought out, but unfortunately it's causing a few problems. It's not really the Quiet the Mind ability, it could still be a very good ability, but in an RP where you have to play fair against everyone else, it has to have some limits. Like when you use your.. focus? To block out pain.. I mean.. come on, everyone feels pain. O_o Especially when you're all cut up. You could make the pain less intense.. Some people have a higher tolerance.. But everyone feels pain at some point. Unless you've damaged nerve cells. xD What I mean basically, is you have to find a happy medium between sensing attacks beforehand and not being fast enough to dodge them. Ugh.. that didn't sound right but i hope you get what I mean.

The thing about RP fighting is you have to have a balance. You can't continuously dodge your opponent's attacks and it is the same for the other person. I think when it comes to RP fighting, you have to think a lot about the situation, the outcomes and especially who you're fighting. I mean... Ryuunosake, you are fighting the Head Captain..And I'm not saying that you have to lose, but think about it.. if you did win, it would be a tough battle. Another thing to think about is.. try to picture the situation clearly.. Could your character really dodge this certain attack effectively? If yes, then do it.. if no, then don't, but once again there has to be a balance.
It might be easier if i'd had more to work with.. but I hope this solves a bit.. Lavi, be careful not to predict the outcomes of your attacks and Sireez, don't be invincible. : )

Beware the God-moding disease!~

Edit: I think it might be a good idea to have a neutral party who is an experienced RPer to judge these battles and add some input if they really think one person should lose to the other. For example, my fighting skills in an RP format suck. XD So.. maybe I should lose to my opponent if he can write better than me.
If it were a judge, it would have to be based off of the contestant's ability to write fighting-style posts.

I appreciate your concern but I do that with research. I have seen plenty of documentaries on monks who use meditation and are able to perform extraordinary feats showing their resilience to pain. He does have limits by the way. He can't directly predict his opponents movements AND he can't prevent damage to his own body. For example, if he loses a hand, he can't stop that, but he can stop the pain. The brain is an amazing thing and with proper manipulation, can yield desirable results.

As for him predicting moves, I would like direct quotes and I know full well when he predicted them. Over my role playing experience I have realized as character get closer, its give and take. Its a game of strategy like chess. I am picturing the situation clearly and am playing it like a game of strategy.

I appreciate your concern, but I know what I'm doing and whats going on. I am experienced neutral ) sweatdrop

((I'm not saying this as a sour loser, but I'm saying it as guild leader...

I can see where you're coming from with the meditation and pain aspect. BUT, like you said, you can't prevent damage to your own body. However, your character would most likely have trouble standing/attacking from the injuries he received. After all, kurohitsugi is an attack that pierces the trapped person with thousands of energy spears. confused I know it wouldn't take a captain down and completely paralyze them, but it WOULD give them some serious wounds.

Also, I really should have caught this earlier in your profile, you should probably limit your "heightened" senses to ONE. That way, your shikai will have some weakness. I'm terribly sorry I never noticed it before confused

I'm not saying this just so I "win" the battle, I could honestly care less about it. I understand you are an experienced roleplayer, but there ARE problems that need to be addressed. neutral

And yes, I understand I have done a bit of power-playing, I will go back and change my posts accordingly. 3nodding ))

((xD Yes, it was. You have everything down, you're an excellent fighter, you've just got to fix those little things about your style/shikai. 3nodding

Alright. xD Good fight. :3

Also, please treat Kamiko-Yachiru with more respect in your responses. She IS my second-in-command. ))

((I also need more attacks >.> anyway, sorry if it sounded wrong. I am not a hostile person and I don't snap at other anyone <.< . . . except my sister, but I'll find ways of coming off nicer in the future. No disrespect intended. I was just trying to defend my points which were wrong. My apologies.))
