Hey does anyone here know where I can get a Mortal Kombat theme song for a ringtone? I think that it would be so funney to my martial arts people if they heard that and cool enough sounding to where people around me would not think I'm crazy or a total loser. I have a verison phone so can anyone help? Other cool martial artsy ringtones would be cool too 3nodding .

Bahvanta
they wernt ALL that bad sweatdrop
ye it was crap but im just sticking up for him cos hes nice, and hes young!
yeah actually dnb is too heavy to do training to
i cant think my head hurts
ouch
im going to bed

Yeah, he did mean well and he is a good kid.

And lelie it wasn't mp3, that would have been ok, it was midi beep beep beep!

Music is good for working out, but when I'm doing patterns a brass band could be marching passed and I wouldn't really take it in. Does anybody else get that? When you're really concentrating on a pattern/kata or sparring then everything else sort of fades into the background?

yep I know exactly what you mean!
Its great with the warm ups, and beginnning excercise
but sparring/patterns/katas ((whatever)) you totally dont hear it....its like all the people at the competitons no matter what sounds are going on..baby's crying...announcements etc etc the concentration the fighters show is amazing!! there was one point at the last one where they all had to stop -- (I remeber it meant that u had to wait for agers darkling) and it wound everyone up!!
the minute ur doing like sparring/patterns thats all that matters 3nodding

Yeah that sucked serious monkey balls!! Went up for my pattern, then stood there for ten minutes whilst they farted around getting all cold and wound up, needless to say I didn't do my pattern exactly well after that.
But everything fading out when you are just practising your pattern is slightly different to fighting in the ring, when you fight you get serious amounts of adrenilin dumping into your system and all you focus on is your opponent (tunnel vision is an artifact of this) but everything fading when you're practising is about just concentrating really hard. Your mind shutting all distractions out rather than adrenilin shutting your mind and vision down

I don't listen to music while working out because it distracts me too much from doing my exercises. I try to remain focused on the task at hand and thats enough to keep me going.

Yeah, I'm the same.

"Urban legend and American folk lore tells of a man who was one of a kind.
A surly gent with a flair for fashion, prone to violence at any time.
A legendary Hooligan with a thirst for blood and a taste for booze.
This brave and daring, brutal soul, he lived and fought by his own rules."

My favorite Dropkick Murphys song ever. If that doesn't get you in the mood to fight, I don't know what will.

We don't listen to anything in particular in the dojo, but I like Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Prodigy. Pretty much anything that has a kind of angry edge with a good beat. It gets me moving even outside of "appropriate" practice settings. Which is good, because I'm rarely in appropriate practice settings. sweatdrop

God that song is awesome! But mine has to be "Curse of a Fallen Soul". But when I work out I usually listens to techno with that heavy bass beat. Just gets me hyped up and energized...

But I really listen to everything except for Rap and Opera.... I like DKM and Floggin Molly, and alot of more bands. A bunch of Oi! bands too....

The songs that get me going have to be anything with violence in it, just to think of ******** the world-by ICP, but others that they use in movies comming up to major fight scenes, thoughs really get my blood pumping, anything like that is great to listen to for me while training...lol I don't know if Meowmeows has posted here yet, but during one sparring class at tkd are amster put on this weird crappy classical music while I was in the ring, made me feel like prancing, so I did.

I still don't care for Rap either way. It seems all the same to me.

Like Irish Folk, listen to Blood Or Whiskey

Sometimes very quick hip hop, but mostly punk or blink-182
