A few minutes later, Bastian pulled up to Cass's house and noticed her sitting on the curb without a coat. He rolled down the window. "Are you crazy? It's freezing out." He got out and unlocked the doors again, putting her things in the trunk beside Rin's. "And good morning, by the way." he said, nodding to her.

Cass looked up from her spot just in time to see Sebass lecturing her about the coat. The girl really had nothing to say to this due to the fact that she was still on sleep mode. She just nodded and watched Sebass place her things in the car. Cass looked up at Rin ignoring Sebass's greeting and crawled into the back fairly angered that Rin had shot gun. Cass said nothing and laid down in the seat curling into a ball and waiting for the car to start. The girl tended to have moments where she was a bit ticked then ever, sleeping was one of those moments. Cass twisted and turned a bit trying to get comfortable until she finally found the perfect position. She sighed blissfully and dosed off for a few minutes.
For the little while Cass did sleep she dreamed of how angry and upset her friends would be to not see her as the wonderful person she usually was. Cass sighed and opened her eyes knowing she couyld sleep later.
She cleared her throat and sipped her coco before sitting up and forcing a smile. Cass looked up at the front at Rin and smiled,
"Morning Riny Morning Sebass. Shall we get Harpy now?"
She asked before feeling very sleepy once more.
Cass would never make herself believe that her friends where annoyed by her, in fact she denied it fully.

((Sorry for posting so briefly, it takes me a while to get a feeling for the story before I can post long rambling pieces of crap about driving.))
Bastian got back in, shuddering when she called him Sebass. "Yes, we shall. We're running a bit behind schedule." he said, putting his seatbelt on and driving away. In another twenty minutes they were parked in Harper's driveway. He saw her sitting on the porch and waved. "Three down, two more to go, I guess."

Harper opened her golden eyes as she heard the sound of a car engine pull up in her drive way. She grinned and sat up, bending down to loop the heavy back pack over her slender shoulders with a light grunt. She then reached down, her fingers gripping the pull-handle of the suit case.
Harper turned and started off down the path that began at her front porch and traveled to the driveway. She made her way up to the back of the vehicle and lifted her bag into the back, smiling at the loud thump it made as it hit the metal flooring rather than someone else's bag. She lifted the large backpack off of her shoulders and let it fall on top of her suit case. She smiled at Bastian and shook her head, pushing some soft red hair from her eyes as she closed the trunk shut.
Harper grinned mischievously and rubbed her slender fingers through Bastian's head like a dog's, ruffling it all about. She laughed and banged her hip into his, making her way to the back seat to sit by Cass and Rin. "Hey Hey Hey," she said brightly, plopping down in the seat somewhat loudly. "Feels so good to be getting out of here for the winter, eh?" She said lightly in her slight Romanian accent.

Cass watched as they drove towards Harpy's house. She smiled seeing the girl walk inside and waved,
"Hey Harpy!"
Cassy cheered and listened to the girl speak of getting out for the winter. She frowned a bit, Cassy enjoyed the winter a lot, she was hoping that the hotel would be in a very cold and snowy area. The girl yawned once more as the sleepiness left her body. She relaxed in her chair and looked up at the driver,
"Hey Sebass did you bring anything to entertain us?"
Cassy asked looking around the large van. She pulled her chair back and relaxed.
Cassy was not one to flirt with good friends, she would enjoy it if everything stayed just as it is, although she knew that was impossible she wouldn't do anything to encourage change to come.

Harper smiled at Cass when she waved to her. She always look so happy to see everyone, she thought to herself. It puts me in a better mood. The redhead then turned her gaze to 'seabass' whom Cass was asking a question to.
Harper laughed and nudged Cass in the side with her bony elbow. "Didn't you learn when you were little 'ow to entertain yourself?" She asked, a big grin on her face. She ran her slender fingers through the mid portion of her hair and bit her bottom lip, glancing towards the back of the van. A lot of her 'entertaining' things were in there, but she'd remembered to bring some up front in her bag as well.
Harper leaned down and rummaged through her bag, smiling when she found some stuff. "I just brought games and s**t for the kinda long car ride and for at the 'otel if we get bored or something," [her Romanian accent made it so that when she spoke she generally left most of the 'h' off. It's a very slight sound though, so it's still mildly there ] she murmured, pulling out a handheld Simon Says game for two players. She reached into her bag and then found cards. She lay one stack down, "simple playing cards," she murmured, then lay another stack of cards down, "Uno, which I loooove," she grunted and searched for the other set of cards. "Hm... oh," her fingers grasped the stack. "And phase ten. But I'm not very good at that game," She murmured, her deep red hair falling into her eyes.
Harper couldn't help that she always tried to be prepared. And cards were just something she simply adored. She was real good at them too, usually being able to beat anyone she knew at poker and Texas Hold 'Em games.

Bastian chuckled, something he didn't do very often, as he merged back onto the highway. "How old are you guys, honestly, like ten?" he laughed. No matter what mood he was in these girls knew how to make him smile. They didn't have a lot in common with each other but when they were together they just clicked. After college he'd lost contact with most of his other friends but these few had managed to stay in his life for more than just a brief period of time, which was something that someone who had grown up in foster homes could appreciate. They were his family whether he liked it or not.
"Ahh, this job is going to be great. Maybe I'll actually be able to do some work." he said, then glanced at the girls in the back seat through the rear view mirror. "I have one rule, and only one that I need you to follow. I'm going to take one of the rooms as a workspace so that I have peace and quiet to finish this arrangement. If I screw this up I'm going to be out one very big client and quite a lot of money."

Rin sighed, as she thought, "Nope, these two are just the same in the morning as they are any other time of the day." Not that she didn't like them, she just had hoped to start the day with a calm, peaceful drive to the hotel they were to be staying at for months together. Rin looked at the cards that Harper had brought out. Rin did love Texas Hold 'Em, or BS. BS was always such an exciting game, the thrill of lying straight to another's face and them believing you, it mad her heart race.
Rin looked at Cassie, Harper and then to Sebastian as he began on his one rule. She then smiled at him and asked, "One rule that's it? No other rules you'd like to add? I mean, I'd love to go through your stuff, since it's not a problem with you, maybe try the cello for the first time." Rin laughed quietly, so more of a chuckle under her breath. "Oh, and to answer you earlier, of course I'm excited, if I wasn't excited I would've still been asleep when you came to pick me up, silly," Rin added, realizing she failed to answer him earlier. She then looked to Cassie and Harper, are you guys excited for the hotel? Since I know you're not too crazy over this car ride, Cassie."

Bastian turned to look at Rin, the air in the car getting somewhat chillier. "Touch the cello when I'm not around and you will lose a hand." he said, silent for a moment as he stared at her. Then he started to laugh. "I'd rather you not do that either."

Rin smiled and laughed, "You said ONE rule! See you're lying to us!" She looked to the other girls and said, "You guys got that? No touching his instrument, alright? Unless you want to lose a hand." Rin then turned to Sebastian and looked into his eyes, with her "puppy dog" look and asked, "Would you...Would you really cut my hand off for touching your instrument Sebastian? Would you really hurt me like that?" She knew he was just saying that, the worst he'd probably do is throw a book at her or something. She couldn't imagine Sebastian actually removing a hand from someone for just touching his cello. Then again, maybe she didn't know her friend as well as she thought she did.

Harper grinned at the two and listened to their slight bickering. Rin may not enjoy being all hyper and loud like Harper and Cass did, but Harper knew that Rin did enjoy card games just as much as she did. She bit her bottom lip and listened to the two bickering, shaking her head amusedly. Rin turned to them and repeated what Bastian said in near clarification, and Harper just couldn't help but laugh.
"Oh, I'll touch his instrument if I want to," she muttered pervertedly under her breath, knowing they would hear it. And it was pretty obvious that she wasn't talking about his cello. It's not like that was her plan. She knew Bastian liked Rin, and she was definitely not the type of girl to go after a guy with a girlfriend or someone he already liked. She knew how that felt when a girl went after her boyfriend or someone she liked and it just felt shitty.
So, if Harper made a perverted comment it was usually only for her sheer amusement.
She raised her golden gaze to Rin as she spoke to her and Cass about if they were excited for the hotel, and she grinned when she talked about Cass disliking the car ride. "Hell yeah I'm ready for the hotel. Parties, meeting new people and just chillin'. It will be so relaxing yet invigorating all at the same time," she said with an accent, leaning her head back against the head rest of her seat. She closed her eyes and smiled to herself. She felt kind of like a hippy with all of this talk, but she was kind of an earthy geek anyways; believing in Karma and luck and how everything happens for a reason.

Cass had been out of it for just about their whole conversation. She popped back up into reality and looked at everyone hearing Sebass's rule. Cass frowned a bit,
"Well...Don't stay in your room too long It would get boring with out you."
replied and tried to recite the rest of the conversation in her head. Cassy did enjoy a nice game of 21 or poker. She didn't seem like the kind of girl that would, but there was a childish story to the reason why she enjoyed the game. The girl looked over at Rin and Harpy as they spoke of touching things. Cass raised one eyebrow at Harpy and smirked hearing her low comment but left it alone,
"Who wants to play with a cello any ways? "
Cassy chuckled hatting any string instrument. She was not one to sit and listen to music all day. The girl looked over at Harpy and smiled,
"The best parties are at a new hotel."
She said as if a matter-o-fact...fact. Cassy bounced up and down in her chair getting excited from all the talking. She soon stopped and began to look out the window entertaining herself for the moment.

Bastian arched his eyebrow. "Sorry to ruin any plans but we're staying at the Overlook during the off-season, everyone will be gone."
He turned his head slightly so he could look at Rin while one eye was still on the road. "Of course not!" he said, chuckling. "...Or would I?" he muttered as he turned around, trying to spook her.

Harper grinned at Cass; she knew she'd heard her dirty little comment. She stifled a slight giggle - something she rarely did. Giggle, that is. She bit her bottom lip and glanced out the window. Cass began talking about parties, and Harper grinned wildly. "For sure! Hotel parties are the s**t compared to house parties," she said excitedly, her deep red hair falling over her eyes.
Then Bastian began talking about how they'd be staying at Overlook Hotel during the offseason, and Harper's smile slowly faded to a slight frown. She kept her mouth shut, and shrugged her slender shoulders, leaning her head back on the head rest. "As long as I'm with you guys that's all that matters," she said lightly, a peaceful smile on her delicate face. Although I would like a chance to get laid, she thought to herself, closing her eyes. And I know that's not happening with Bastian and I. He's too enthralled with Rin, she thought amusedly. It's not like she had a crush on him or anything, but she did enjoy his personality. He's such a ... good boy, she thought to herself, nearly laughing out loud. Totally my opposite, she confirmed, opening her golden eyes and looking out the window. She glanced at Cass, and grinned. "Hey there are other employees there probably, so we can just party with them too," she whispered, nudging the girl's shoulder playfully.
Harper tilted her head to the side in thought, biting her bottom lip. She listened to Bastian and Rin talk and bicker. How cute, she thought with a slight sneer. It's not that she was jealous, but Harper wanted someone to love on as well. She glanced at Cass and pulled out her cell phone. Her fingers ran over the key pad, and she texted Cass. It read: 's**t. I might become a lesbian by the time this trip is over if those two don't stop. Unless one of our guy friends changes his mind to join us (: ' Harper grinned, showing she was joking of course.

"Nope, we're completely alone, for five months." Bastian said, sighing at the thought of it. Five. Whole. Months. "Look, this isn't going to be one long party. I asked you guys to come so I wouldn't go crazy up there by myself, but if you're not going to be able to entertain yourselves I'll just turn around and take you home." he said, half joking.
