Ellandra squeaked again, then immediately melted a bit with the resumed foot-massaging. "Really, Faolan, I . . .. mmm . .. . . I need to get back to . . . . oooh.... cleaning....." Maybe..... maybe she should rest a bit. . . . just for a little while longer?

Faolan grinned as his wife complied, then went back to kissing her foot, making soft happy noises in his throat. Looking up at her to gauge her reactions so far, he ducked his head down and began sucking at her toes, still massaging the rest of her foot.

The young man sighed, making a face. "And I wasn't meanin' it to be. Was just . . . tryin' somethin' different. Forgot you're kinda sexually frigid sometimes." He pulled her foot back to finish the massage, but stayed silent, clearly more than a little shamed that his wife didn't share his more adventurous spirit when it came to intimacy. Maybe if he behaved and just finished this, she'd still let him listen to the babies before rushing around like a hummingbird on crack again, but he doubted it. He'd gotten used to her pushing him away (or sometimes outright kicking him) when he got too frisky and did something she didn't like.

Ellandra sighed softly and laned forward, kissing the top of Faolan's head. "I'm sorry, FAolan. I know I'm not as comfortable with things as you'd like me to be. . . but - at least I don't faint as often anymore, right?"

Faolan quirked a small smile, eyes still downcast. "I suppose that's true. You should really be more open-minded to stuff, though. You miss out on a lot when you just . . . well, go with the usual motions." He looked up at her and sighed a bit. "And don't go thinkin' I'm bored, either. I just like having a bigger range of . . . um, techniques."

Ellandra sighed and stroked at Faolan's hair a bit. "I know, Faolan, but I was raised to be terrified of even kissing. It's ....... difficult to change that kind of reaction,," she said softly, allowing him to finish before getting up and heading to the bedroom. "Come on, you want to listen to the babies again, don't you?"

Faolan watched her head for the bedroom, ears going up at attention and tilting his head. "Well, yeah, I wanna listen, but I thought you wanted to do more cleanin'." He put a hand on the table to help himself up, then followed after her slowly. "You know, lass, I've been thinking I might try remodeling this little vardo while you're off to workin' during the day."

Ellandra shrugged a little. "Honestly? The babies are wearing me out more than I'd thought," she admitted, wanting nothing more than to curl up on the bed with her husband right now. She stopped in her tracks though, for the remodelling comment. "R-remodelling? What do you mean, Faolan?"

The young man gestured for her to keep going, fully intent on laying on the bed with her while she rested. "The vardo's small. It's the biggest one Da could get us and it's still small. We can make some modifications to it to make it a little easier on raisin' a family, though." He went to flop down on the bed, getting comfortable on his back and motioning for Ellandra to join him.
"For one, we can rearrange some furniture in here. Get rid of this bed in favor of two smaller ones. Put one against this wall here--" He knocked on the wall at the head of the bed. "--and build a dresser over on that wall with a bed on top of it that can be closed off for privacy. Might even be able to move things around in the front room to get us a stove to cook on and keep us toasty. I'll see about some sort of electricity, too, for lights and a mini-fridge if you want."
He wasn't too sure what the cost of all that would be, but he knew Keagan was likely to give him the money for it. The old man had been pestering him for awhile anyway about doing more with the vardo to make room for the growing family. Plus, it'd give him something to do while Ellandra was at work or doing whatever so he wasn't bothering her constantly about their unborn twins.

Ellandra laid down on the bed and blinked up at Faolan as he described all of the changes he was going to make. "A-all of that? Really?" She paused for a moment, a little confused. "Are you...... really sure that's what you want, Faolan?" She asked hesitantly. The changes would certainly make life easier for her, for them both really, once the twins came, but . . . did he want this? Because if he didn't, there was no need to do any renovating, she could make do, somehow. "now come on, you know you want to listen. . . I only wish..." She trailed off for a moment, then continued. "I wish I could hear them, too. . ."
In the front room, a sulky butterfly finally uncurled from her wing-cocoon and started cleaning up the mess she'd made, unseen by the occupants of the bedroom. After all, she's made this mess, and she really should be cleaning it up. . . she didn't need to lose her chances at fluffy treat for even longer, after all! She didn't weigh much, so she could only move light things around, but she did her best, working steadily and quickly. Then she came across these ....... funny stick-things. "Oooh, what's this?" she asked quietly to herself, inspecting them and starting to sniff them. Oooooh, they smelled nice - like the giant plant at Elst-rose and Aoi-flower's nursery! The one Orphy-singer had come out of!
Completely distracted from her attempts at cleaning now, Rhian inspected the sticks, trying to figure out hwo they worked and what they did. The smell was very calming, relaxing, hmm....... "Smelly-sticks....... are useful?" She thought so, anyway.

Fao nodded. "Of course I wanna do all that. I knew when I got this one that there'd need some changes made to it. The other option we have is gettin' a tent set up for livin' in, but it's more hassle than a vardo. It's just till our bairns get big enough to be on their own better, then we can get a vardo for them to park next to ours. Just the way of things."
At the offer, Faolan grinned and moved around so Ellandra was on her back, propped up on their pillows. He curled up against her, resting his head gently on her belly, large pointed here pressed just there so he could hear the tiny heartbeats within. Closing his eyes, he smiled, reveling in the sound of life from his children, and stroked the side of her stomach gently. "Maybe Banning might know where we can buy one of them thingies that lets you hear them." He tilted his head up to look at her. "Gotta be something like that since people without good hearin' like mine would want to hear them, too. You know, whitecoats and parents that are baselines."

Ellandra sighed softly, getting comfortable and starting to stroke Faolan's har - careful not to touch his ears or horns, she didn't need that kind of reaction right now. There was still the mess in the front room to clean up, but. . . this was so comfortable. . . mmm.... "Well, I'd hope they don't grow that big too soon; I'd like to keep them here for a little while at least," she said softly, her eyes softening at the happy look on her husband's face. "Maybe he would, but. . . wouldn't it be a little odd to ask him about something like that?"
In the living room, Rhian continued examining the smelly-sticks, finding their smell to be very relaxing and pleasant. She tried propping them around her antennae, but couldn't manage it. Hm...... maybe some string to tie them on? She needed to find it. "Yes, yes, this would help Ellandra relax, it's very nice, very very nice......"

Faolan moved his ear around, idly trying to tempt her to stroke it. "Be years afore they're on their own, wife. I lived with Da till I was twelve, you know." He smiled up at her, planting a tiny kiss on her belly. "The man just took us to the beach, woman, I somehow don't see him thinkin' it odd to ask if he knows where to get one of them devices."

Ellandra sighed softly, running a finger along his ear just once in a teasing manner, and smiled back at him. "I suppose you're right. . ." She said, closing her eyes and relaxing. It was nice to get to relax, it really was.... maybe cleaning could wait a while longer, after all. . .
