There was nothing more scary than to lose control in the water, Kairav knew that all too well. The tides were scary and dangerous if you didn't know how to handle them. But Jesenya did terrific! He could see that she was indeed swimming as he jumped up and looked back to his mother and Azi with a happy face, "She did it!"

The water was getting so high...and then she was gone. Jesenya had disappeared under the waves. Azi felt her breath hitch in her throat, taking a step forwards instinctively, wanting to run and fetch her daughter. But she had to do it by herself. Jesenya was becoming an adult - she had to learn to become independent.
But a few moments passed, and the fear was overriden with a mixture of joyful feelings. Pride and happiness flooded Azi, so much so that she felt tears in her eyes, tears the broke free and coursed down her cheeks as Sevati and Kairav began to celebrate. But there was only one lion Azriell wanted to celebrate with at that moment. "Jesenya! Jesenya, love, you did it!"

Mesmorized by the blueness of the ocean she had to remember to kick out her paws to keep herself afloat. It was then that she heard the calls from the shore. She could come back now? That was a relief, she was still really scared to be all the way out here by herself. But she had done it.
She turned herself and headed back towards the shore. She kicked her paws foward and as soon as she could feel the shoreline underneath her, she ran towards her mother. She wanted to be with her mother at this moment, to enjoy it for all it was worth. "Mom!" She cried out, full of emotion.

With a loud and happy roar, she looked to her son and then to Azi. As the other lioness went to greet her daughter returning from the water, she made her way to her son. To let the mother and daughter have a few moments to celebrate this accomplishment.
With an affectionate lick to her son's cheek, "I remember when you did your rite. I was terrified out of my mind, but you did great. Just like Jesenya did," She paused, "We'll go to them in a moment, give them a few private moments to celebrate this special time."

He echoed his mother's call of happiness as he was so pleased! He bounced to his paws ready to race out to greet Jesenya when his mother came to his side. Ah yes, that's right. He couldn't disrupt Jesenya and her mother right now, he'd wait a few moments before congratulating her.
"She did great! Much better than I had expected," He glanced at the mother and daughter, "It is an amazing thing to witness, there are very few words to describe it." He added softly.

Azi ran down to meet her daughter, slowing to prevent the two colliding but still hurrying to greet and congratulate her daughter, tears streaming down her face. She gave a joyful roar, rubbing her cheek against her daughter's before dragging her body down Jesenya's with a loud, rumbling purr, turning to face her daughter again when the affectionate gesture was finished. She touched noses, nuzzling Jesenya fondly. "I'm so, so proud of you. Well done, Jesenya - you're an amazing, beautiful girl."
She gave a warm, gentle smile, nuzzling ehr daughter once more before turning to Sevati and Kairav with a grin. "Come, join us! A celebration with only two is a lonely one indeed!"

Her cheeks were slightly wet from both the salt water and her tears of joy. She returned her mother's affection with a nuzzle of her very own. "I was so scared, I'm not the best swimmer but I did it!" She leaned against her mother briefly, soaking the moment in before she turned to Kairav and his mother with a huge blush spreading across her face. Praises from everyone was so becoming!

At Azi's beck she made her way over to the pair. She leanded foward to touch Jesenya's shoulder, her maternal side definitely taken over, "You did beautifully. I felt like I was watching one of my own daughters do this. It's so scary for us mothers to watch their cubs go off into the ocean by themselves, and even scarier, to come back as adults!"
Her whole face was lit up, "But your mother is right, this is a time to celebrate!" She dipped her head, "I would like to officially recognize you as an adult in the pride, Jesenya. Congradulations!"

He didn't need to be told twice as he followed after his mother. Once his mother was done, he shyly stepped forward and grinned to Jesenya, "You took my advice, I am so honored." He reached forward to nudge her shoulder lightly as well, "Congradulations! Isn't the sea beautiful out there?" He could remember seeing nothing but blue before him.
But he was also happy to see her so happy. His face glowed along with her own as he looked from his mother to Azi, his tail wagged slightly.

Azriell smiled, her smile only growing wider as they were joined by friends. This moment - right here, right now. Being accepted and around friends. It was really feeling like home. Her smile broke inot a grin at Sevati's words, the female bowing her head a little as if to show her daughter respect, and acknowledgement as a new adult of the pride. She did lean forwards, though, purring loudly as she nuzzled her cheek. "Just don't forget - you may be an adult, but you'll always be my little girl."
Kairav's reactions seemed to make Azi smile also, as she stepped back to allow him forwards, and to get closer to Jesenya. She caught Sevati's eye, a rather mischevous grin crossing her face for a moment before she looked abck to the pair, feeling her heart swell. Her daughter - finally an adult.

Her face was all red with the attention. "Of course I am, Mom!" And then she turned her attention to both Kairav and Sevati, "I can't thank you enough for being here with my Mom, it means so much to me!"
She didn't have to pause and think about that answer as she replied, "Oh yes! Nothing I've ever seen before and I won't forget it!" She was so happy, if she had seams, she would have burst by now with all the love floating around her.

Leaning slightly towards Azi she spoke softly, "Just a step in the right direction, for all of us. We'll have to let the two youngings celebrate on their own later on too." She winked playfully at her friend.
Her son was just too amusing, she'd have to tell her mate all about this joyous occassion. Especially the parts about their son and Jesenya. To Jesenya, "Now we have all the time to celebrate with you."

At her reply, he nodded his head. He could picture it in his head. "Now we can go swimming together whenever we want. You won't have anything to worry about now." He grinned sheepishly to her. He loved the water and loved to swim a whole lot.
He looked to his mother and Jesenya's mother, oh he knew they were up to something...his mother looked very much up to plotting, especially if it involved any of her cubs. But he knew his mother was too kind to do anything mean. And with that he turned his attention back to Jesenya.

Azi smiled at her daughter's blush - yes, she'd be just fine. And with such a wonderful boy like Kairav by her side, she'd be even better. Ah, a smile crossed the female's face just thinking about it, and Sevati's words didn't help, causing the lionness to giggle a little. She leaned towards her, whispering back, "Yes yes - I'mm have to call Pembe, her father, over for the ceremony. Oh, he'll be so proud and happy. Aren't they just perfect together?"
She watched Kairav with a smile, before turning back to her daughter, nudging her shoulder in an encouraging manner, "Well then, Jesenya - this if you celebration, love. What would you like to do, to celebrate your rise into adulthood?"

At her mother's prompting, she was caught. She didn't know what she wanted to do other than to be together and spend the time with her mother and friends. "I don't know...." She paused, "I'd love to just spend the time with Kairav, Sevati, and you Mom." She was never one to ask for anything out of the ordinary or extravegant.
To Kairav, "Oh! I'd like that a whole lot. You can help me to swim better since you've been here your whole life and all..." Her voice trailed off, slightly embarrassed with a blush across her face. She didn't want to ask from him too much.
