*Rubs temples* Lex Lang as Sanzo. It just won't be the same.
I suppose Steve Kannon (Kamui from X) won't be so bad for Hakkai.
But, Tony Oliver for Gojyo! What were they thinking!? He usually plays teenage guys and his voice doesn't really come across (to me anyway) as the ladykiller type. In fact, sometimes I find it on the squealy side (that's from listening to his voice in X and GTO, I dunno about others). The guy isn't a bad actor, just a bad choice.
Not sure about the new guy. Since the other dub that he's in won't be released till march (but I have no desire to see the other anime that he's in).
But then again, I've heard voice actors do amazing things with their voices, so maybe I'm jumping the gun. Maybe I'll like it. Why'd you let this happen ADV!?
Steve Cannon isnt good as Hakkai. He can do good characters but he cant do Hakkai. I am sorry bc I like Steve Cannon but he makes Hakkai sound so girl and gay. I just dont see Tony Oliver as Goyjo. I have seen the first volume. None of them fit their characters. Lex is the only one I can stand as the character they play. I miss Vic, David, Braden, Illich, and Greg! Johnny Bosch plays an episode character in the first volume, which was cool because he fit the character, even though this was a new character.
