I remember when kids didn't have cell phones. Just like I remember when 9-11 happened, when Columbine happened, and when Obama was elected. We're not talking about fifty years ago. We're talking about pretty recent changes here. So I definitely wouldn't say I feel old because I remember the past few years.
But I do feel like most other people are very young.
xp And I do remember the first time I felt like I was "a grown up." It was the first time I said, "Ooooh, I want that" to a commercial for a cleaning product.

I don't see how that has nothing to do with age at that point. Therefore, it shouldn't make you feel old.
When I was a kid I liked a lot of older movies that my peers had never heard of. It's all a matter of what people are exposed to. If kids are watching nothing but MTV and Nickelodeon, for example, you can't be shocked if they are not familiar with movies from the 1950s.
