Pan saw the others and smiled. He then watched the flowers being grown and the faun playing with them and one of the adult's legs. He too liked music, but more of the wind variety. Pan walked from each faun deciding he would rather play with the flowers as he just loved them.

The elder that greeted them thankfully didn't think anything of their sudden appearance, but she groaned inwardly to see the demonic pae's shock and recognition. He looked as though he had been sucker-punched. Still, it was better to simply play it off. "This must be one of them," she said cheerfully, repeating back the names that matched up to the toddlers. "They're so different from the other pae I've seen, even moreso than the naiads."
She boldly patted each faun on the head, playing with the curly tuft of hair that stuck up. "Pan sounds like a great name," she said to the brown one. "You can call me Eboraria. That's my brother, Hyacinthus." She didn't expect the toddler to have any competence saying her name. To her, kids weren't all that smart or interesting.
The expression Texas wore when they approached made him feel less than welcomed. He looked awkward and out-of-place with all the anklets, bracelets, and necklaces he wore. He didn't have earrings, although he wanted those quite badly. The only thing stopping him was the pain of piercing. He stood haphazardly off to the side, uninterested in making eye contact with anyone. "No, I haven't seen them," he answered quietly, his eyes everywhere except on the fauns. "I wonder where they came from."
