'Of course...they'll always be my babies, even when they have their own.' Nivriti smiled, remembering how little they had been, how precious the new lives had seemed. It had seemed like the completion of their love, something physical to show the world what they could make together.
She lipped at Althalus's nose, backing up a way, her wings quivering very slightly with mirth, as she skipped even further away, tucking herself behind a tree, and looking around it. Maybe it was childish, playing a game with her mate when she was a mother, a grown mare, but she couldn't help it.
'Can't catch me..' she teased, her head tucking back behind the tree as she clipped away, laughing lightly. She wouldn't use her wings, for that would be cheating, but it would be fun to see how swift they each still were on the hoof. And when he caught her..he would get a reward.

The red haired stallion blinked as his mate was at his side one moment, then gone the next. Shaking himself out of his haze of love, he silver gaze caught her peering at him from behind a tree.
"Can't catch me..." she goaded, and the stallion couldn't help but give a hearty chuckle at such a thought. While he knew he could never keep up with her while she was on wing, when it came to land games he was a champ.
Or so he liked to believe.
"Oh-ho, you're in for it now," he smirked, tossing her a wink from afar. "The good beauty before me has proposed a challenge of skills! Let's see if this prince still has a little spunk left in him to pursue." Giving himself a small shake and his limbs a momentary stretch, it didn't take long for the sunset male to bolt after Nivriti.
He'd chase her around the world if need be, if only to capture her one last time. There was no trail too far to take, no wood too foreboding, no climate too hostile. He would chase and he would capture her and then she really would be in trouble. . . .
"And what do I get if I do?" He called out, eyes full of mirth and imagination painting some rather pretty images in his head to spurn him on. Oh, he could be horribly rakish at times but of course such moments were only for his one and only. He wasn't too old OR too pure to be a bit of a scamp. . .

She laughed, clambering onto a largish boulder, her hooves making a clattering sound as she scaled it. She looked down at her mate, smiling mischeviously as she did so.
'I am? Will my darling Althalus catch me...though I promise not to fly away.' she hopped off the boulder, opening her wings just before she landed heavily on the ground to slow her fall. She'd thought not to use them, but he was swifter than her..and besides, she was sure he'd rather her use them to prevent her from being injured.
'I won't be caught very easily..' she teased, moving around a conifer, her nose full of the sharp, green scent of the evergreen.
'If you catch me..you get me.' Nivriti called back.
'I hope that's enough..' she peered around the tree, seeing if he was nearby.
