Aryaisha was quite surprised when the bouncy little cub went skill and quite, he honestly didn't think that she would be able to do that since she was so outgoing. "Well it looks like you will do fine in teaching me the art of stalking prey."
He crouched down into the grass, his brown pelt fading into the shadows. "So we need to sneak up on the Snorks and the best way to do that is by stalking one until it lands." He started to stalk forward but deliberately made a awful ruckus. Ary stooped and stood up, looking at Journey he said "I can't seem to move quietly like you can, how do you do it?"
He hoped that by getting Journey to 'teach' him that she would learn some important skills. Of course he knew how to hunt and stalk quite well and he hoped that but covertly correcting her 'teaching' methods she would learn some useful skills.

"Mr. Ary sir...your making to much noise!" She squeaked out with surprise that the big lion didn't know how to hunt. She then lowered herself to the ground with a little butt wiggle. Her head low to the ground. She seen momma do that often when stalking prey. She wondered if she too knew what a snork was. But could SHE be as quite as momma?
She lifted a little paw high into the air as slow as she could. She watched it's evey move then softly put it down on the ground. Then her eyes watched the other front paw and quitly put that in it's place. But when she tried to move her back paw she couldn't see the grass or the brambles and SNAP. She stepped on a stick. Grumbling quietly she tried again. The front paws being extra quite; but again with the back paws. She couldn't quite see them again again shuffled threw the grass. Sitting up she huffed angerly and looked to Ary for help.

Aryaisha watched in silence as the young cub tried to move quietly. He nodded approvingly when she was able to place her front paws silently but smiled slightly when Journey made noise with her back paws. "Well lets see if I am getting this right." He said after she had tried a few times.
He slowly placed his front paws in front of him quietly, echoing her moves but making his moves less obvious and slightly faster. But when it came to moving his back paws he also made quite a bit of noise, normally from the rustling of the grass or a snap of a twig. Ary paused for a moment and said, "Hun... I wonder..." He then looked back at his back paws and in large and slow movements he silently moved his back left paw to place where the grass had already been flattened by his front paws, "Well will you look at that!" he said in amusement as he slowly started to walk silently, his movements becoming smaller and less exaggerated with each step. "I guess if you step where you already step you make less noise with your back paws."

"Lets see if I can do that too." She perked up with the intent to try again. Moving down to a crouch she again moved the front paws silently. But this time turned her head to watch each back paw as she placed it on the already flattened grass. Though in her excitement she turned her head back forgetting to watch her paws and again made a quite loud crunching sound with her back paws. She sighed only for a moment then settled herself keeping her eyes on all parts of her body.
"Will I have to watch my legs everytime I hunt?" She stood up still and looked at the larger lion. She really hoped not.

Aryaisha got a strange feeling as he watched the small cub follow his lead and started to move quietly, it was pride. Journey was learning, maybe not by conventional means but she was learning. He was smiling proudly even thought Journey started to have problems again, mostly from not paying attention. "Practice... after a while your body will get use to the moves and before you know it you will be but the wind in the grass." He said with happiness in his voice. "Your doing really great by the way, I'm sure soon we should be able to catch a Snork with ease."
Ary was having so much fun with his young friend that he was not paying attention to the sun or even the weather. The day which had started out as sunny with white fluffy clouds strolling slowly across the deep blue sky, had slowly turned not so sunny as those white clouds darkened with rain and the warm breeze noticeably cooled. This normally prescriptive adult did not read the warning signs of the turning weather and it is only the gods who know when he will look away from this little cub who had made him so proud.

Journey didn't even notice the clouds herself as she continued to practice. Her paws were still clumbsy but she was creaping around quiter and quiter. "You know I'll be able to get around Satiku much easier learning how to sneak like this." Her smile curled playfully up as she chuckled abit. "My brother Roth will have nothing on me." She buttoned her lip admiting how she got free in the first place.
"I mean- yea...not sneaking out of momma's sight. I'll be good." But as she spoke a small water droplet ploped on her nose. She looked up at the dark clouds. "Rain? But it was so pretty today. I know...this must be SNORKS! If we catch them will the rain stop?" She cocked her head at the larger male.

Aryaisha was bordering on being insanely proud that he could teach this young cub to stalk silently when she mentioned being able to get around some one named 'Satiku'. Realizing that he neglected a very important part of his teaching, Ary felt quite embarrassed. He never taught the very trusting cub about caution. "Now Journey I hope you mean while playing around at home, because wondering on your own out here," He looked up and with a wide gesture, included the world around them, "is not safe."
Thinking seriously about the implication her slip up reveled, "Oh little one you have no idea how lucky you are." A pensive mood sunk into his bones as he remembered the first few weeks without his mother, when he too thought the world a safe place. As the rain started to fall in a steady drizzle Ary gave his black mane a great shake, spraying water all around as well as somewhat dislodging his odd mood.
When Journey asked if catching a snork would make the rain stop Ary just laughed, a great deep laugh filled with humor and warm thoughts. "No, sorry to say the snorks do not have that type of power. In fact the rain makes them take to there homes, the rain makes it nearly impossible to fly." He looked down at the cub fondly then said, "I think it is time for me to escort you back home, but we can practice going silently if you want." He added, hoping to make the inevitable less annoying for the young cub.

Journey gave a nod to the lion grinning as his mane seamed to ploof out with the rain. It rather made her jelous that she wasn't a male. One of those might have been fun for the future. But he was right it was time for the cub to be getting home. Didn't want momma to worry- or worse whoop her butt for leaving the pride.
"I guess your right. My parents will be missing me." She sighed liking her older company.
"You should stay with me and my family- momma would like you- and well I like you. Your waaay more fun then my brothers."
She was rather disapointed that once she returned her hunting lessons about snorks would end. It seamed like something that only he knew about. Fun was probally a better word for it. Her other siblings at time seamed too obsessed with ones looks then just the joy of doing something FUN.
"At least come home and meet momma and poppa. I don't want them to think your kidnapping me...I mean your scent is all over me...and momma is protective."
She nodded once again feeling the weight of the water plunk onto her body.

Aryaisha smiled down at the wet little lioness as he started to follow her back home. "Yeah that would be a good idea, after all we don't want them to think that but its only for a little while Journey." He added as a caution since he was a bit worried that the young cub would think that his coming back with her meant he would stay and that was just not in his future right now. And besides I would like to tell her mom or dad about snorks so they don't think she is odd if she mentions them. He mentally reminded himself as he followed just behind and off to the side of the young female, making a odd image; a large grown brown male following behind a much smaller young pale female.
