((It's not the length of the post, it's how you use it!!!! D< -smirks- ))
Yaretzi's eye twitched, she was trying not to smile, and it was becoming a bit hard as he played along with the joke. She looked away from him, shaking her head, as if it was all so disappointing, or as if she'd found her self in an awkward situation. When really, she was trying her hardest not snicker at the jokes. Finally she's regain control and as she was certain she wouldn't laugh, or smile, or give any indication that she was enjoying this interaction she replied. "Well so long as YOU know we're not interacting. Because that would imply that I might actually tolerate you." which at the moment didn't seem as hard as it had started out to be.

Aryaisha was of two minds, Yaretzi seemed to find his comments annoying but his gut was telling him that she was finding this banter amusing. Hoping that his gut was right Ary said with a straight face, "That would be a crime, tolerating one such as my self. It would be even worse if you were to just endure my presence." The breeze picked up again sending Ary's main into disarray, rather then leave it in his face he used his paw to push it back into place but it just fell back into his face, giving him a slightly clownish look. Dam mane he thought in annoyance as he waited for a reaction from the pretty lioness.

Yaretzi nodded in an almost sagely manner, as if she were such a saint, such a martyr. When he said that she smiled, softly, barely even a smile at all, more of a smirk if anything. She closed her eyes and felt the wind blow by, having had made the stupid mistake to have her eyes open when sand blows once or twice. She looked back up at him when the sand had died down, and watched him attempt to get his mane out of his eyes. She let out a SMALL chuckle, barely even audible, hell, not even a real chuckle if you asked Yaretzi. "Heh." She smiled up at him, her head tilted slightly. Not really saying anything.

When Yaretzi smiled and laughed, sorta, Aryaisha knew that he was on the right track. Leaving his mane alone he said with mock horror "What is this? A smirk? That is not permitted as it breeds familiarity, and after all we are just communicating not interacting. Erase that smirk and replace it with a grin otherwise others would think we like each other." Figuring that his past comments were good he said that hoping that he had not overstep some invisible boundary that would change there banter into an argument or worse.

He was an idiot. It was obvious to her now. That explained it. He must have been a few grains of sand short of a desert... That could be the only explanation. He made her laugh, and not just the simply chortle, she was giggling now. Hadn't she just warned him, now she'd have to kill him. "See, we're interacting now. The only reason why I'm not biting your face, is because there's no one around to witness this crime against nature." She stood up, frowning deeply and trotted up to him, pressing against him, almost shoving her shoulder into his, moving him out of her way. She hit him in the face playfully with the golden fur on her tail. "You're very lucky I'm feeling so generous today." She said with a small smirk on her face.

Aryaisha feel irrationally proud of himself since he made this pretty lioness, who struck him as serious, laugh. "Oh no... We can't be interacting but it seems that we have indeed passed communicating. We must be collaborating, its not as bad as interacting but not as good as only communicating." When Yaretzi pushed against him, he gave way since he saw no real reason to stand in her way. The only reaction he gave when she flicked her tail in his face was to n** at it, deliberately missing it. "Are you sure you are not feeling magnanimous as well?" He asked with a roguish smile on his face.

Yaretzi continued to shake her head as she made her way away from him, but when he nipped at her tail, she turned around and scratched him forcefully on his hind quarters, jumping away from him and growling viciously. She stood in a lowered angry stance, as if she was preparing herself for a fight.
When she realized what she'd just done, she immediately lowered her head apologetically, her whole body relaxing. "I'm sorry..." She said in a low apologetic voice. She'd never play fought as a cub, there was only REAL and intense fighting in her life. She was afraid to see if she'd scratched him deeply... She couldn't raise her head, and instead, she sat there, head still hung low, waiting for whatever was coming to her.

Aryaisha was surprised when Yaretzi took a swipe at him right after he miped at her tail. As her claws raked his back hind quarters only his strong will prevented his instincts to retaliate and he had to forcefully suppress the growl that was clawing at his throat. After a moment of getting his instincts back in control he looked over at Yaretzi, figuring since she did not strike a second time there was a reason.
Her body language and her apology made Ary realize that it was a automatic response to his playful act, just like he would have done just months before. When you grow up fighting its hard not to react with claws and teeth. He was lucky at least he learned to play before learning the harsh lessons of real fighting, Ary was not so sure about Yaretzi though.
Her claws had been sharp and the struck fairly deep at first but he was not going to make her feel worse by telling her that or even acting like that. With his face schooled to show none of the pain he really was in he limped up to her, since he was unable to walk normally yet. Ary nudged her with his head, "Great reflexes, now I can see why interacting is so dangerous but I still say we were communicating or at the very least collaborating."

((Yaretzi would like to know if Aryaisha would like to be her best friend, I swear, as soon as the two of us read that response were like D: -glomp him now!- ))
Yaretzi could hear the rumble in his throat, she could smell the blood, practically feel him wanting to teat into her. And she couldn't help but flinch away from him , knowing an attack was imminent, but not wanting to have to face it. Damn it all if she wasn't a coward sometimes. She berated herself mentally, she shouldn't be just sitting here, preparing to take a beating, she should be preparing herself for a fight! Preparing to rip hi throat out if need be. Unfortunately, she just couldn't bring herself to do it.
Her ears twitched when she listened to him padding over to her. He was limping, she could tell by the way his feet fell, from the vibrations of the dry and cracked earth beneath her feet. She took in a ghasp, and stiffened when she felt him touch her. Expecting the worse, but when he simply budged her, she looked at him shocked. He was actually trying to make her feel better.... She looked nervously at his hind leg. She'd gotten him good, and she sudden;y hated herself. She rubbed her head into his mane apologetically. (kind of like a kitty)
"I'm so sorry." She said pathetically, miserably. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to I promise, it's just.... I'm so sorry!" she just wished she knew how to make it up to him.

((Ary is a sweet heart and he loves making friends <3 i dont really know it would come out that way but it is defiantly Ary XD))
Aryaisha's hip hurt, that he couldn't deny, but he could tell that she felt worse about it especially when she rubbed her head into his main, if he didn't know better he would say she was nuzzling him. "Its ok Yaretzi its just a flesh wound, I've had worse grass burns from rolling over in scratchy grass." Of course this was all a lie but he would do his best not to make her guilt worse. "You did it by instinct not because you meant to, that makes all the difference." He said being completely serious, "But there is a way you could help me out now, it seems that I will need to find some water. Do you know where the nearest is?" Ary figured that the sooner he could rinse the claw marks out the better and even though he could likely bend that way to clean it himself he would still rather be around some water just in case.

Yaretzi nodded her head nervously. She'd gotten similar marks once before in almost the same place. They had pained her immensely and she could remember crying herself to sleep at night huddle into herself and licking at her wounds. It had been a miserable time as she'd let them heal, she couldn't run, or search very far for food. She'd had to stay in once place and had nearly gotten killed or worse. How could she have let her self lose her self control in such a drastic way. She nudged at his shoulder gently to the right of the way he'd come there was a watering hole with a small jungle connected to it. She'd take him there, because there at least there would be easy prey and places to hide if he needed to.
She frowned outwardly at herself, her Demon was picking on her, telling her she was getting soft, telling her she was loosing her touch. Being all buddy buddy with someone, telling her that she had better hope she didn't get out tonight or else her new found friend would never wake up to the sun light again. She shook her head, as if she was shaking away a flea from her ear.
She wondered how much pain he was really in? He sure wasn't acting like he was in any at all, but she knew, she knew it was all a front for her sake. She pushed up against his affected side, careful not to press against his new wounds, which would probably turn to scars. She still felt so horrible, but she couldn't let him walk on the affected leg. "you can lean on me... if you feel the need to of course." Not that she would let up off of him even if he told her he didn't. She felt responsible for him now somehow, she needed to make sure he got himself taken care of, that he was alright.
So, she made their way slow, knowing that even if he had thus far hidden his limp, eventually it was going to come back to get at him. The watering hole wasn't that far away, Yaretzi could have sprinted there in under a half of an hour, but now, it was hard work to get there and would probably take them an thirty minutes to an hour, at the least. normally, something like this wouldn't have bothered her, it would have given her time to think to herself, try and figure out how to better train herself, how to maintain better control of herself, but now. She wasn't sure if she could be silent. She wanted to continue repeating her apologies, over and over until she was blue in the fur, if that was even possible. But she knew he wouldn't appreciate that, and it would only turn back into an awkward and uncomfortable silence. For once in her life, she'd wished she was more sociable.
"I swear Ary~" She said a little quietly, almost shyly. "I've never snapped like that before. It's just..." She wanted to tell him about the scary red and black lion she'd recently had a run in with, who had come out of literaly no where and had put her on edge, so much so that even when he jumped over her, even though he had different markings and fur altogether it scared her into believing that it was him come to get her again. He didn't need to be bothered with that, and so she wouldn't try to. "I don't know it startled me I geuss." She growled low in her throat mainly at herself as she rubbed her head into his apologetically. "I'm so sorry." She didn't think she would ever stop saying that word.
Why was it, that every time it seemed she was getting along with someone new, she hurt them? or ran them off? or ran away from them? She didn't know, she wasn't sure if she would ever know. Maybe, to be honest, she wasn't sure if she even wanted to know. She hoped that they would get to the watering hole sooner than she thought though. She'd never before had to create idle chit chat. "Quite the first impression I make..." she said sourly, gnawing at her lower lip with one of her canines.

Aryaisha half expected her to help him to water but acting as a crutch was something he was not expecting. When she pushed up against his bad side, she took some of the pressure off of the wound and if he hadn't cleared his throat he would have ended up sighing in the slight released of the pain, "Um... Thanks." he said after he cleared throat. Even if she wouldn't let up, he figured, he still would lean on her just for the simple fact it made moving easier if not entirely painless.
"Its ok Yaretzi, I would have likely done the same if I wasnt expecting it." He said trying to put the lionness at ease while still telling the truth. Ary could only imagine the childhood that Yaretzi had, his was fine until his mother was killed. He did understand the instinctual reaction to strike with claws and teeth to a perceived attack, he had to learn that in the first few months of being alone. "I am sorry that I'm making you carry my fat a** to some water." He said trying to be funny.
Twenty minutes into this trip to water Ary had to stop for a break. The slight hoping motion, trying to keep as little weight on his back leg, and the pain, while slightly relived with Yaretzi's help, still caused him to become out of breath. "Hold on... I have to stop... for a moment." he said out of breath.

"That's alright Ary~" Yaretzi said reassuringly, nudging at his shoulder in a concerned manner, trying to help him to rest. "Lay down if you need to! No hurry~ No rush!" She wondered if her voice sounded as frantic and worried to him as it did to her. She'd stick by him, vigilantly, until they got to the watering hole, until she was certain he'd be alright. And then, with the darkness of the night, she'd get the hell out of there. She couldn't be trusted around him she was certain of it. Her Demon was already planning on how she was going to skin him alive when she fell asleep.
She laid down on the side that she'd scratched, trying to block any wind from getting sand or who knew what else into the wound. her ears were still slicked back against her head in an apologetic manner. If she were a wild dog, she'd probably be whimpering or whining right about now. She wondered why he was trying to be so nice to her, trying to not make her feel bad about what she'd done. She ESPECIALLY wanted to know why he hadn't retaliated when she'd attacked him. He just didn't make any sense to her at all.
This wasn't some fairy tale. She wasn't some damsel in distress, she didn't need him to be nice to her. She could take care of herself. So why was he being so nice to her? "You confuse me." She admitted after a while of thinking, looking at him plainly.

Aryaisha stopped and just stood there resting, not daring to sit down afraid that he might not be able to get back up again. He wondered why Yaretzi was so frantic even though she was saying not to rush, something was not right here but even if she would be willing to tell him he didn't think there was much he could do about it, not with his side hurting the way it did. He watched as the sun inched it's way closer and closer to the horizon conscious of the dangers of being wounded at night.
Knowing that Yaretzi was in some what of a hurry he started to move off just ten minuets after stopping, his limp more pronounced as the adrenaline from the surprise. But he still paused waiting for the lioness to catch up and said quite seriously, "I confuse myself sometimes."

Yaretzi was up in a flash again when she saw how horribly he was limping, pressing up against him in a comforting manner. She really wished he would have sat and rest for a bit longer. This would only further to hurt him in the long run. "Please~" She insisted in as nurturing a voice as she could make, "Take you're time." She was calming down now too slightly. "No need to rush, just calm down please~"
When he spoke that to her, YAretzi looked up at him, and smiled lightly, licking at his muzzle affectionately. "But stop being Confusing Aryaisha." Soon, they would be at the watering hole, she could feel it.
