Jaella was seated comfortable outside in the garden, bundled in scarves and sweaters. The garden was a wash of golden and orange leaves, with specs of red dotting through it. She giggled, pouring a cup of hot tea from the pot. "Want some more, Irena?" she asked, smiling. Irena looked less than happy, to say the least. Like many of the flowers, she appeared to be wilting. Though, unlike the other flowers, it was very unlikely that she would die. Become thoroughly miserable? Yes. But die? No. She shook her eyes, looking pointedly at her untouched cup of tea. Um, she couldn't drink tea due to her lack of a mouth. She seemed to give a sigh, though it appeared to be more of a shrug. She was grateful to her purple haired friend, really she was. But, the girl wasn't one of the brightest, and that could get irritating at times. Jaella nodded, sipping her tea. Nothing like hot tea on a brisk autumn day! She looked at her little flower friend, tilting her head to the side. "You look cold." she said, just now noticing. "Here." The teen removed her scarf and her outermost sweater, wrapping the little flower girl in it. "Next time I head into town, I'll be sure to get you some winter warmsies, kay kay?" she said, grinning. Little Irena nodded, her eyes brightening a bit. She would have smiled, but...yeah. She pulled the coat tightly around her, burying the lower half of her face. It was moments like these that really redeemed the purple one. She may be dumber than a bucket of rocks, but she had a kind heart and she meant well. That, and she was really funny. Irena picked up a cookie off her plate, offering it the the older girl. She couldn't eat them, so Jae could have hers. Jaella smiled, taking the cookie. "Thank you, Irena!" she said, giggling and nomming happily on the cookie. "This has been the best tea party EVER!" she said, clapping her hands together. Of course, she did this everytime they had a tea party, but the sentiment was nice. She rubbed her arms, trying to ignore the n** in the air. Today seemed oddly cold; it felt more like November than October. Irena curled up in the chair, huddled under the older girl's coat. She didn't understand why they kept having these tea parties, with her not able to eat or drink any of it. She had to admit, though, it was kind of fun. After all, it was over tea and cookies that Jae shared all her stories of going out to town, to the outside world. She envied Jaella, being able to go out there without fear. She was terrified to leave the safety of the house, after what had happened.... A shudder ran through the little flower girl at the memory. Jaella blinked, noticing the younger girl's shudder and uncomfortable expression. "Come one, let's head back inside." she said, smiling and standing up from the table. "We can have the rest of the tea and cookies inside." She gathered up the teapot while Irena got the cookies. She then offered the tiny flower girl her hand and, once it was taken, led her back inside the warmth and safety of their home. Cookie from : Pokemini

(( Hijacked for event purposes )) Prompt! (( Like I'd hand out kids without prompts again. Never making that mistake again. PM along with egg location~ )) Quote: It's Easter morning, and looks like the bunny has left you quite a surprise! You find two adorable little neko girls wandering in your back yard. What leads you to your decision to keep them? And do you find out what happened to their first parents, or do they even remember? How goes their first Easter in your household? How do you manage to make it special for them on such short notice?

Jaella sneezed into a tissue, the force of it shaking her entire body. Bleary eyes glanced around as she sniffled, curling up under the hand-crocheted afghan on the sofa. "Mom....I think I'm dying...." she said, sounding scared. She had to be dying! She felt like it was ice-cold, but Mom and Dad said she was burning up, and she felt positively horrible and her head hurt and she kept sneezing and coughing.... A pathetic little whimper came from the girl. She was scared.
Darcy sighed, impatient with the younger girl's lack of knowledge. "You aren't dying." she said, rolling her eyes as she entered the room, carrying a bowl of soup, a bottle of cough medicine tucked under her arm. "You're sick, that's all. You'll be fine." She sat the soup on the coffee table before going to read the label on the cough syrup.
Jaella blinked, rubbing at one of her eyes. "Sick?" she asked, not sure what that foreign word meant. She'd never fallen ill before, so she had nothing to connect with that word. She snuggled down further under the blanket, rubbing her ice-cold hands together in an attempt to warm them.
Darcy gave the girl a look. No, she couldn't be that stupid, could she? "Sick is when you aren't feeling well. That's all." she said, pouring some cough syrup into the plastic cap of the bottle. "When your sick, you relax and take medicine until you feel better or you die, whichever comes first." Hey, it was the truth!
"Die?" Jaella said, sniffling. Did that mean she could die? But Mom just said she'd be fine. The teen frowned, confused and a little scared. "I don't like being sick." she murmured, her tone low and subdued, laced with exhaustion. She was tired. She wanted to sleep. But, unfortunately, she was much too cold to sleep.
Darcy rolled her eyes again. "You are not going to die. Only those who get really sick die." she explained, huffing impatiently. She held the cap of medicine out to Jaella, all but shoving it in her face. "Here, take this. It'll help you feel better." she said, nodding once.
Jaella hesitantly took the capful of medicine in her hands, looking at it a moment. It looked like liquid hard candy....cool! She drank the capful in one gulp, then gagged. Ugh! That was SO not candy! She made a disgusted face, reaching for the soup. She needed something to get that horrid taste out of her mouth. How could something that tasted so absolutely horrid help her feel better? Yuck!
Darcy chuckled, amused with Jaella's reaction, before heading back into the kitchen and leaving her creation to it's own devices. After all, she didn't want to catch her cold, now did she?
