Well I wouldn't know 100% about holy paladin. I thought I'd help by linking one of my holy pally friend. I am not Roanexavier. It is him who does not use holy shock. He goes for the highest Heals per Second. He doesn't find any reason to use it much. Plus, we also have 3 resto druids in our raid. I only heal when they're in need of 2nd healer, I dps 98% of the time in Ulduar. He tells me how to heal, I listen to him. It works.
Oh and speaking of hardmodes, we do not plan on doing any hardmodes until we kill Yogg-saron.

I am just having a fun argument. Not to worry. I guess everyone has their own style.. but holy shock is still good. It should be used. That's all.

I dont doubt that you're like hardmodetastic, but you realize this statement makes you sound like a tiny bit of a b***h, right? :p

That being said. Cant holy shock crit for like 8k? I mean, yeah you have other healing spells, and Im sure lining up big heals for inc. damage makes you feel pro, but why would using this make you a "bad player"?

Surely this talent is like a the pala version of serendipity, which Id never pass on as a holy priest.

I didn't mean for it to sound that way, was just frustrated from slamming my head against the wall vs IC. ):

Holy shock crits for a good amount. around 8k normal crits, 5k hits. With the frequency of use, MOST of the time that you use it, it will crit. I end up using it far less than any other heal, but it is still something that is there. I treat it like I treated shielding a warrior tank in ye olden days of no threat from bubbles -- if it's going to save their life, I will cast it over something that will take time to heal, and if necessary, will use the instant flash of light.

It's more like the paladin version of Surge of Light. Do something, and you get another instant heal. Instead of just proccing the instant heal, though, it can also be an Inner Focus. razz
