Vasu's own stomach let out a muted rumble as she continued to mention the clovers. He paid it no attention as he trotted after her with a happy bounce to his step. One would never be able to tell his age by the way he carried himself. Ever youthful.
Stopping short of the river, he lowered his head with an almost grumpy pout as she sprinted into the water with a gleeful splash. Taking a few steps back, he watched her flit around like a fish.
The cool water was nice, but he had just got dirty. He didn't even feel like washing it off yet.
As Brioso stepped out the water, he watched her hesitantly before...sure enough! She was going to get him wet!!! "Heyyyyyy, HEYYYY!!!" he exclaimed as he bolted away from her like a skidish wild animal. A blur of black and dark sea green swirls sprinted a few feet away and turned to look back at her with the most pitiful pout he could muster. "You'll get my dirt wet." he said, failing at fighting off his goofy grin as he did. He held back a laugh as he tried to remain serious. Epic fail though, ever the playful one.

"Hm..." Brioso mused, looking at the river behind her before looking at Vasu and back at the river again. A wide smile slowly formed on her lips, and she quickly jumped back into the river, shivering as the cold water enveloped her again. Ducking her whole body under, she made sure that even her pelt was drenched. When she resurfaced, the mare gave a loud 'war cry' of sorts. Tossing her head, the female leaped out of the water just as quickly as she had leaped in, and galloped straight towards her new friend.
"Water coming through!" She yelled, laughing as she went. Digging her hoofs into the soil to stop herself directly in front of Vasu, Brioso shook the water from her body and sent it flying in all directions, a cheeky smile plastered onto her face. Her target is the dirt-covered stallion.

Vasu followed her line of sight, as she looked from him then back to the river a couple times, a huge grin gracing her youthful face as she did. She wouldn't dare...
He watched with wide eyes, fully suspecting what would happen next. His body was tense, lips pushed together, as he waited silently. He lowered his head and cocked up one eyebrow.
"Nuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!" he exclaimed as he scampered away in a fit, doing his best to avoid the onslaught of flinging water. Yes. Yes she would dare... D:
"That's just evil." he said as he darted back and stopped as the shower ran dry. His coat was dappled with spots of moist fur. Her assault had succeeded. He knew that wet dirt was unpleasant once it dried, and would cake into his coat for days if he left it there. He would have to wash his pride and joy away... until he could add a fresh coat of course.
"Of course..." he looked at her under the raise of his eyebrow and turned towards the water. "..you know what this means.." With a leap of body and leg, he jumped into the river and thrashed around. He was good at flopping around like a fish. He used his head to splash water up over him, the river not being near as deep as it was to Brioso. Water glinted in the sun as he splashed about. He then bent his knees and glared back at the sun medalioned foal. His head was half submersed, like a crocodile looking out at it's unsuspecting prey. Beneath the water, he was grinning wildly. One could see it in his eyes he was smiling so hard.
War he thought to himself.

Brioso stayed on dry land, some stubborn droplets of water clinging to her mane; she stared at Vasu, wondering what he could be up to. When he went into the water, the filly blinked, raising an eye-brow as he flopped around. She could still see part of him above the water, but curiosity got the better of her and she slowly approached the male, despite her common sense telling her not to.
"What are you up to?" She called out suspiciously, trotting over to the river where she could see Vasu's half submerged head. Was he planning to scare her? Splash water on her like she did? It certainly seem like it... To get his own back, perhaps? She giggled to herself, recalling the stallion's face when she bombarded him with water; no matter what sort of revenge he had in mind, that act was worth it.
She halted at the edge of the river, and looked down at the stallion, "Vasu?"

His lungs were still as he held his breath. He didn't move one inch. He waited like a snake in the grass, ready to strike as Brioso moved hesitantly closer. He tried not to choke as the urge to giggle arose in his throat. She was too easy, moving right up to the waters edge.
He lifted his head up out of the water, cheeks all puffed up and swollen. A stream of water foutained out of his mouth and directly towards Brioso's curious little face! He had been sitting there with a mouth full of water as she stepped closer. After his assault, he straightened his knees and rose up out the water, shaking himself as best he could to fling water everywhere. Twice the surprise!
"Ha!" he said as water rained down everywhere. It flung from his coat and his curls in quite the shower of delightful wetness.

Maybe not that worth it.
Brioso squealed in surprise, a sound she never knew she could make, as the water touched her skin. She stumbled backwards, and lost her sense of balance before tripping over her own legs and falling down in a heap on the grass. As she was assaulted with more water droplets from Vasu 'drying off', the filly stared dumbfounded, as if she was unable to compute what was happening.
"Eh, eh..." She managed to utter, before blinking at the stallion. Then, her whole body shook as she started to laugh - why didn't she think of that? She relaxed, thrashing about on the soft grass, "That... Was... Good!" She managed to say in between bouts of laughter.

Luckily! He hadn't drowned the poor filly! (lol)
He looked down at Brioso and almost thought for a second he had gone to far. When he was about to utter some apologies and feel bad for what he had done, she started to laugh. Phew!
"Heee-heee." he grin-laughed through his teeth. An uber grin of much contentment beaming on his face.
"Teach you to get my dirt wet." he muttered then stuck out his tongue and winked at her.
"You okay?" he said with a shaky laugh in his voice, leaning over to nudge her in her spot on the ground.

"You could always get dirt-y after you're dry!" The filly retorted with a laugh, tears streaming down her cheeks. It had been ages since she had enjoyed herself so much! She got up slowly after her laughter had mostly subsided, and shook the water off her pelt and hair. Then, she flicked the water off her tail before giving a grin, "Yup! I'm fine."
Looking at the stallion, she paused before letting out a giggle, "Well, lets call it quits and get some clovers now?" Her stomach growled, as if agreeing with her statement - she was getting hungry.

Vasu only grinned wider as she continued to laugh. "Good!" he replied first to her being okay. That being more important than his pride in dirt. "I'll of course get dirty again, but another time. Let's munch on these clovers you told me about, I'm starving!" his face scrunched up as his stomach bellowed out it's own hunger pains. He laughed at the sound. Glancing to the side, he scanned around for the clovers to try and find them.

She couldn't help but chuckle softly at the noises Vasu's stomach was making. However, she knew that her own stomach was acting up to - its best to feed them before they start to sound like... Thunder. Or the bottom of a waterfall. She grinned at the thought, wondering if it was possible; of course, she wasn't about to starve herself for the sake of finding out! Training requires energy, after all.
"They're here," She trotted through a small gap between two bushes after gesturing for her friend to follow. Once through, a large field of clovers greeted them, growing under a rather bald tree. As the small clearing was surrounded by tall bushes, it could easily be missed by passer-bys. Grinning proudly, Brioso winked, "I've got a nose for clovers!"

Vasu followed eagerly, with a slight trot in his step. He watched the young one bounce through two bushes, and slowed down to follow her. He sniffed at the air, smelling the fresh scent of the clovers. He had a nose for the smell of dirt. Not like that would ever keep him from starving..
His mouth filled with water as he looked at the perfectly green shapes that covered the ground before them. "Mmmmmmmm, they DO look yummy! Your brilliant Brioso!" he said with a playful n** in the air towards her.
"Well what are we waiting for! Let's feast on them!" he said with much delight, giving her a big open mouth grin. He waited for her to take the first chomp.

"Brilliant Brioso... I like that!" The filly giggled, flicking her tail happily as she grinned at her new friend. However, her stomach gave another loud rumble, disrupting the atmosphere, as if prompting her to eat the clovers laid out just in front of her. Taking the 'hint', she took a few steps forward and took in a deep breath, her mouth watering at the sweet smell of fresh clovers. Quickly, she lowered her head and took a huge bite out of the huge patch of clovers.
"Come on, dig in!" She turned to Vasu with a chuckle, her mouth full of clovers. Somehow, she didn't think that the stallion would need an invitation, but... Just in case. Chewing the food happily, she let out a contented sigh after swallowing, flashing a grin at Vasu, "De-li-cious!"
Her attention than returned to her meal, and she lowered herself for a second round, tail swishing side to side.

He did not hesitate. As soon as the little filly began to feast, he joined in, ripping the clover from the ground and into his mouth. The sound of the tearing plant was only joined by the sound of the two of them eating. Vasu was contentedly enjoying his meal. Brioso was adorable. He was glad he had met her. Not only had she played with him, but she just seemed to accept him. Now if only he could get adult soquili to have that kind of reaction!
He smirked and bumped into Brioso playfully as she ate. "Mmmmmnomnomnom." he smacked his jaws in an animated fashion, showing his contentment for the savory greens in which they now shared.

"Mmmmmnomnomnomnom." Brioso followed after Vasu, determined to be even louder than the stallion, as if she imagined them being in a contest of sorts. After swallowing again, she gave a contented sigh; the fact that she had been starving and that she had a companion to share her meal with made it even more delicious and enjoyable!
"I love fresh clovers!" The filly exclaimed loudly after her stomach was filled, "They're the best a Soquili can get!" She stumped to the ground happily before yawning; she could still smell the clovers in her breath. Pushing herself off the floor, Brioso couldn't help yawning again; a heavy meal had always made her sleepy.

Vasu gave Brioso a look of approval at her munching noises and then joined in sing-song fashion to her. "NOMNOMMMMNOM." He was smacking so hard that he almost choked when his meal almost fell out of his mouth, and he scrambled to save it. He decided to just eat a little quieter after that.
He continued to eat for a minute after the little sun medallion filly had finished her meal. He didn't want to eat this patch clean, but he imagined he could! He was then distracted by the cute little yawn that danced around his ear. He looked at her, judging how tired she was. She looked like she could fall asleep right now if she wanted to.
Leaning over, he licked her cheek a few times trying to get her attention. He didn't know how sleep she was. "Hey you, shouldn't you get home before you fall asleep?" he looked at her with an eye of concern. Or, if she was going to sleep here, he would sleep with her, and watch her.
(Dawwww, he'd be a good daddy one day. =p)
