Merlin chuckled to himself as he floated, invisible, behind the obviously scared woman and the bulbasaur. He had quite a few little things waiting for the one who called herself "Lisa" and her group in their section of the building. But for now, the fear radiating from this woman was quite enjoyable.
But true fear isn't just found; it's cultivated. And so, Merlin aimed to tamper with the mind of this frightened creature. Making sure to stay out of sight, he started with the basics. A softened "clang" echoed through the hallway, caused by Merlin reproducing the sound of metal falling on metal. Oh, he had a large repertoire of tricks for this little band...

Further down the central hall, Lisa stopped. "Oh dear, another split," she whispered with an air of disappointment. "Should we split up again or should we just stay together?" she asked Cab. Lisa figured that they should stay in teams, but if they needed to split, she would relinquish the protection of Midnight to Cab.

Hearing Alessa begin to stutter in fear, Mytheesaur kind of paused in her triumphant march and turned an annoyed eye towards the human girl. "Bul. BUL-bas-" the grass type had begun to say, but something seemed to have veered or quickly faded right behind the trainer in that fraction of a second. Was it the ghost type? The bulbasaur trod carefully behind the trainer, and then in front, and then behind, making circles while glancing around watchfully for any sign.
After a few moments she was satisfied, shrugging (as short as the bulbasaur's shoulders were, shrugging was certainly possible) and continuing to lead the way.

A metal clang suddenly reverbrated through the halls, causing Mytheesaur to swerve sideways and launch a vine whip in the direction of a randomly laying-about trash can. "BUL-BASAAAUUUR!!" She exclaimed, whacking the metal object cleanly out of the way- however, all that remained was a completely unaffected Shroomish, staring into space with an expression like stone. It had been quietly sitting still in the musty corner behind the object, but, uh, definitely not hiding. If it was hiding, it would at least act surprised or something.

Mytheesaur was taken aback by this rather... random event. Well, maybe it could help them look for the ghost type.
"Bulba, saur?" She asked, which would translate into All of which was answered by complete silence, causing her to begin to fear that the mushroom type pokemon could in fact be dead. Her vines extended slowly towards it and one of them poked it several times.
-"Bi."
FInally, it had spoken! But the fact that it hadn't so much as blinked was a little bit bothersome. Whatever. Mytheesaur figured that she could just keep it and use it as a projectile next time she heard some weird noise, so she picked it up and put it on her head. Turning back towards the female trainer, the Bulbasaur yapped and strolled forwards.

Cab shook her head. "It might take longer to check both ways, but it's probably better if we stay together." She shined her light down one end and then the other. How big was this place? She wondered if perhaps they needed more people. Or if they should come back when it was morning.

Silly, more people means less of a chance of catching this renegade ghost. She fingered her satchel hooks and stifled a sigh, there were only empty pokéballs there.

Being left-handed, Cab generally chose that direction. "This way?" she asked, shining the light down the left hallway.

((Heh, I've realized something. I've been calling Merlin by his name, but he's actually unnamed as of yet. Sorry about that error on my part. xD))

The ghost chuckled at the scared human and pokemon duo, or now, it seemed, trio with the addition of the shroomish. But no matter. Now it was time to check on his other "guests". It was rude to give too much attention to any one group, now wasn't it? With a gleeful laugh that was audible throughout the halls, the misdreavus whisked away to the other end of the building.

Lisa nodded, "Yes, and safety is an issue in a place like this." The young woman turned in the direction Cab was pointing. For a moment, she thought she could see something that looked like eyes. Lisa shook her head and looked again. There was nothing there, but she still had the distinct feeling of being watched. "S-sure, let's go left then," she halfheartedly stuttered, her hand going to an empty great ball at her belt.

Midnight's ears folded back, hearing the faint echoes of a clang and laughing from afar. The cerberex growled uneasily, sensing something much amiss.

Midnight's twitching tail and low growling caught Lisa's attention. "Come on, Midnight, it'll be ok."

((Sorry for taking so long.))

Cab decided to keep one hand on a wall, this place could turn out big enough to get lost in and she had noticed how dusty - and occasionally slimy - the wall was, by running her hand lightly along it she was leaving a trail. A trail she hoped she didn't have to use.

She didn't want to pass the time in silence, so she decided to try and figure out how much Lisa might know. The ad had been a bit vague. "So what kind of disturbances have been reported here?" She tried to keep her voice to a whisper, but found nerves had tightened her throat some making her voice raspy.

Alessa noticed she didn’t impress the Bulbasaur in any way whatsoever. She should keep quiet instead. Yep. Shut up, Alessa, and let the professionals do their job.
… this thought was somewhat depressing. A Pokémon she had never met before, more or less ordering her around. Feeling helpless, she sighed.
The woman didn’t notice the Shroomish until the Bulbasaur spoke with it. Alright, it has a Shroomish on its head now… that’s… great. They must have exchanged helpful information in that short conversation, somehow. At any rate, it was certainly not the troublemaker they were looking for…
The photographer snapped out of her daydreaming as the plant type yapped. She walked quickly to follow the strange couple closely. “Yes, sir!” she replied without thinking.
