Ryuk nodded, "Uh, well, the theme is Italian? We could probably play around with the timeline a little if we wanted. Do Renaissance or Victorian or some such. What do you like, Ophelia? As long as the language makes sense with the context of the set, Aila's not going to care what we do with the setting. She really wants you guys to make it your own as much as possible."
Kisala had -no- idea what they were talking about. Well, maybe a little since she had basic English classes under her belt and all, but still.

Ophelia thought for a moment. Coming up with a theme was the director's job, but she supposed she could think of a fashion era she really liked.
Well, what did she like?
"Can we do, um, the Roaring 20's?" she asked, and blinked at him, waiting to see if he understood what she'd said. "You know, like, Flappers and Rum Runners and Speakeasies?" At any rate, it would be really cool to do costumes for.
She looked around the room, seeking to know if anyone at all knew what she was talking about. "How does that sound?"

Raul flashed into Kashmira's mind and a grin that she couldn't quite explain crossed her face before she shook it off. "And what, have the feuding families carry tommy guns instead of swords and be rival mafia gangs?" she asked.
"Oh yeah, we could give Romeo a cockney accent and Juliet too much eye makeup while we're at it!" The question, though, was whether she was being serious or sarcastic. "Oye, Juu-leee-eeet! Get down 'ere!" she drawled in a cockney accent.
Then she started dying with laughter. "LET'S DO IT!"

Ophelia smiled over at Kashmira. "That would be awesome!" she said happily. "I'm glad you're so enthusiastic. I really, really love the fashion from that era."
She flipped to a new page of her sketchbook and began whisking the pencil across the paper, forming a vague outline of a human shape.
"Do you think Josh and Nataya would go for it, though?" she asked, thinking about the two students who had been cast as leads.
