Zarukah was tempted to shove his arm in his brother's mouth just to make him be quiet. Hypocritical since he hadn't shut up the whole ride over, then again to the little troll boy he was justified he'd been expression his opinion on how the general outdoors wasn't good enough. The tusked youngster simply decided to quietly amuse himself by staring at the various animal signs while they walked and coming up with his own personal names for them in his head.
" Quiet Ubara" Chevy murmured " Snakes can hear very well and will hide if you scare them." True enough anyways, they could sense sound vibrations and loud ones would make them retreat into the hides the zoo provided, even if it would take a few more minutes to get close to their exhibit. Jacob didn't look like he could take to much more incessant chatter regardless of which boy it came from.

The small troll child looked up as if he was deciding if he wanted to bite Chevy or not and then clamped his mouth shut. He didn't want to scare the snakes. He wanted to see them and hold them. He was to excited for his little brain to comprehend and form coherent sentences anyway. In his mind his chant was still going on.
Snake snakes snakes snakes..
Jacob was relieved that Chevy seemed able to get Ubara to listen. Even as they neared the exhibit he hoped a snake or two was easily in view...otherwise he was sure Ubara would put up another fuss.
"After the snakes what do you want to go see Zarukah?" He asked in a soft voice to their other child.

The boy's amber eyes widened a little, what did he want to do? Not what should they do but what did he want to see next? Something in Zarukah was highly pleased at being personally asked what he wanted. The troll boy's tonged slipped out of his mouth to lick at a tusk while he thought, he didn't know why but it helped him think.
" Orstitches" he exclaimed perhaps a little louder than necessary " Big neck birds." He wanted to ride one like in that movie he'd seen on tv. Plus the other time he's seen them in a nature show they had been funny with their long stick legs. He could probably tip one over easily.
Fortunately it was as if the people who set up the snake area knew that you needed something awesome right away. The big lazy constrictors and pythons had the enclosures nearest the door that lead inside building so they could be seen coiled up or resting on logs.
Chevy smiled at his bald son, why was he bald but Zarukah wasn't?
" There you go snakes." Hopefully they would still amuse the boy when he realized snakes weren't exactly highly active creatures most of the time. All animals were different and had different traits, he wanted Ubara to realize and respect that.

Ubara was going to retort that seeing ostritches was a stupid idea, even though he wasn't exactly sure what they were. He didn't watch the moving picture box like his brother did. He'd rather play outside or destroy the house.
When Chevy announced that they had arrived at the snake enclosure Ubara's comment had died in his throat as he looked up searching the tank for the creatures he so adored. It took him a moment to realize the large coils on a tree branch were a snake and when he did he stared in awe.
"Big.....snake." He commented with wide eyes. He damn near tried to press his face against the glass to get a better look but...his tusks were in the way. He then turned to Chevy and made the rarely seen I want up gesture.
"Want see better." He claimed though his tone was rather demanding he wasn't screaming which was a nice change.
Jacob felt a sigh of relief escape his lips; he knew just how much Ubara loved snakes. He hoped having Chevy see how Ubara changed when around the creatures could help persaude him to get the boy a pet snake later on.
He looked to Zarukah and then smiled at the boy.
"did you want to see better too?" He asked.

Chevy would have asked Ubara to say please first but he didn't feel the need to antagonize the boy when he was being halfway decent. He supposed that made him an enabler but at least he was a happy enabler not being yelled at. thus the man smiled and hefted the child into his arms so be could better see the great serpents. " That good?"
Zarukah nodded, he'd even not bite Jacob if it meant getting a closer look at these things that interested Ubara so much.

The small troll child wiggeled and shifted in his hands but he soon leaned forward to press his face as best he could at the glass. He was in awe, the large serpents regardless of the fact they weren't moving in the least... had him enthralled.
"What snake eat?" He asked Chevy without looking at him. He couldn't really fathom what something so long and beautiful could eat...or how it would eat.
Jacob looked relieved that Ubara at least was...entertianed. HE reached down to take ahold of Zarukah and let him see the snakes better for himself.

" Depends on the snake, mice, crickets, sometimes smaller snakes" he was leaving people off the menu even if it did sometimes happen to small children in jungle communicates where anacondas and the like lived.
Zarukah settled himself comfortably on Jacobs arms and looked at the snake then at what of himself he could see that was not covered by clothes " It has marks too." he noted with some interest. " More marks" and jealousy, the entirely of the snake was patterned.

Ubara's face looked confused. How could something so magnificant eat such puny things? Not that he had any idea what Crickets were. He looked at Chevy once with wide eyes when he stated some ate other snakes.
"What dat eat?" He asked specifically pointing at the large snake before them.
Jacob was relieved that he was being good, and he was jerked out of his thoughts when Zarukah made a comment. Marks?
He looked to the snake and then back to Zarukah trying to make sense of what he had stated. Ooooooh.
"Yes...well there are lots of snakes that have vibrant patterns. Some are less flashy as they need to blend in with their surrondings. " He commented as he wanted to hug the little one in his arms and thought better of it.

" Whatever it wants, maybe even you." Chevy jokingly teased." Mostly rodents though." At least he thought so; he couldn't remember if those ones ate eggs or not. " Snakes digest slowly though they can go weeks without eating unlike us." Probably a good thing too Chevy mused, if snaked ate as often as as people the rodent population of the world would be non existent.
" I have red and black" Zarukah frowned. " Why?" Until now the little troll child had never questioned why the markings that were on his body existed. Confused and with Ubara too far away to be of comfort he clung a little tighter to Jacob. Things that Zarukah didn't understand frustrated him to no end.

Rather than looking scared at the idea of being eaten by the large snake he looked..impressed. He looked back at the snake and then shook his head he pointed at the snake again.
"Nu...de snake head too small." He commented as he didn't know how a snake like that could eat him or anything his size with such a tiny head.
Jacob looked to Zarukah and felt a moment of overwhelming love as the little one hugged onto him. It was unusual and he was going to take advantage of it. Adjusting his position he looked to the strange markings on Zarukah and then glanced as Ubara, they both had strange markings that were smiliar and yet different. Ubara's were only black and definitely had a snake like pattern to them.
He traced one of the patterns on Zarukah's arm.
"I am not sure why, but they are very nice looking. You are special because of them." He replied as best as he could.

" Snakes can make their mouths bigger, they have special jaws" Chevy explained and lightly poked Ubara where the boy's jaw was hinged together." I won't let any snakes eat you though," he promised. Not that the little boy seemed all that concerned with the thought of being eaten.
Zarukah's amber eyes had watched carefully when Jacob had touched him. The troll child had resisted the urge to growl at the unsolicited action, he had asked a question. His lips pulled back in a wide grin at Jabob's response, he was special and nice looking, that was worth having weird markings for.
