Everything here is so Impressive! I wish I had the motivation to sew more than draw. xd

That skirt you modified was uber cool, though. I guess it doesn't technically count as sewing since you painted the design on... I could never do that. You reproduced the pattern so well. =]

Thanks. whee I sewed the lace on though, if that counts. ^^; I have about 4 projects going... I just need to finish them all.

That does count as sewing! ^^ (And you're welcome!)

xD Wow, how do you keep everything organized with four projects at once? My room is a wreck, and I only have one going... t.t *suffers chronic disorganization*

Technically done, but I want to add some lace, and fix some stuff. You can see it's a little longer on one side...

Ah! You have to help me make one! I've only attempted to make a corset once, and that was for our Fashion design class. I didn't even finish it...XD

It's so pretty. ^^

Thanks everyone. ^^ I used Simplicity pattern 5006 from Johanns'. It wasn't incredibly hard, but it is like the 3rd corset I've made. Just don't use slippery fabric like I did. >_<

But, The pattern is an for an over-bust corset. I made it too small and had to cut off the top part. @_@

And Danielle, you shouldn't have stopped. It was looking really good. *wags finger*

hey did you need a groment gun to make that?
and do you know the going rates of them?

I didn't even use grommets XD I just sewed buttonholes, because I knew the fabric would fray badly. I'm not sure the going rate, because I use the kits that you use a hammer to put it in. I would imagine that either way, it would be well worth the investment, as many grommets as I have to do by hand. ._.

Teehee. I have 2 of these now. I'm still working on my headdress and actual dress that this is for, so consider it a tease. I ran out of black lace and black ribbon. ;.;

Firstly, this origionally looked like This:

I got that at Goodwill for $5. The lace I eventually put on it cost more. I cut off a ton of fabric on the bottom, and had enough for the wrist corsets and headdress. I still have enough that I'm going to make a miniskirt. XD

After staying up until 4am sewing, I ran out of lace and ribbon.

So later (technically that same day) I went to Johann's and finished my project. ^_^ This is the result. I'm not wearing a petticoat in the bottom two, but I am in the first. I had to take out the elastic and add a zipper to the petti.

I might want to add something more intresting to the top. It's a little plain right now, but for now, I'm SO done with this. @_@

P.S. Plaid + camera - corset = + 10lbs + bags under eyes somehow. crying

wow thats so cute

as to your saying you wanted to add something to the top

i have an idea.

from the 2 ends of the square neck make the s**t.... lemme just draw i picture in ms paint, it would be easier to understand and take me less time.
just a second

ok i come back with this

User Image

the dark black lines represnt ribbon and the train track lines with scribles in them represnt lace.

i think the triangle one would make the top look smaller and thus make the skirt look fuller.

i think this would also be a good time to say
I DO MS PAINT ART. PM ME FOR PRICES!
