Aya's face went stern and then poutty as the sheep turned to run towards a corner of the pen. "I'm not gonna hurt you," Aya said softly as she crouched down a little while walking towards the sheep in the corner. There wooly fur was so white and clean! Aya knew her mother would approve of this animal, but the smell from the pen was rather... strong as the Tenmoki girl tip toed through the mine field of poo. Putting her hand out slowly, Aya reached out the sheep in the most non-offensive way she could imagine. "Come here, little sheep," she cooed while taking a few more steps forward.

With wide eyes, Aya began to smile as one sheep began to round its way towards her. "That's it," Aya said a little anxiously as she rearranged her self for the sheep to continue to come towards her. Slowly, she reached out her other hand to pet the wool on the animal. Gently, those delicate fingers grazed the sheep's wool carefully. "Wow," Aya said in a very calmed state. "Its so soft," she added in with a warm smile. The last animal that Aya remember petting was Baki, who had extremely coarse hair from training and rolling around in the dirt at the spar rings. A sad smile spread across the girl's face as she remember the people back home and how long it had been since she had seen everyone. This life away from home was nice and exciting, but she still missed the familiar faces she got to see on a daily basis.

As one sheep began to warm up to her, the others began to follow. Soon Aya was lost in a sea of white wool. Both of her girl's hands were petting the sheep now. Looking around her to see all the white puff balls made her feel like she was in the clouds. "I wonder if clouds feel this soft," Aya said as she turned to Tako with her bright smile. One sheep came up and began licking her hand with their soft tongue. The action made Aya giggle and stand up. "They get so friendly!" the girl said with a bright smile to Tako.

The moment Aya stood up and giggled, the sheep began to run to the other end of the pen again and huddle in a corner. Their actions made Aya giggle. Sheep were such timid creatures! She had never seen Mai's cows or the pigs in the Rice Country scattered and then clump together like this. "Teha, Silly Sheep!" Aya giggled as she tried to move close to them again.

"Baaaaaah," all the sheep called out to Aya as she started to come closer to them. They were fine now that Aya wasn't giggling so loud. "I like the sheep here! Especially this little cute one," Aya said hugging the one sheep had that started to hug her hand. "Do they have names? I'd name her Kumochi, after the clouds~" Aya said as she stood up from the sheep who continued to follow her to the fence. It made Aya smile as she hopped up and sat down on the fence to continue to talk with Tako.

"That's too bad," Vikka said with a bit of a pout as Kana told her that he had forgotten his paints back in the Rice Country. She still admired him for his words of how he could only perceive the painting in his mind. She turned back to look at Aya, who may have fallen for this artist's love of his trade with words. "And your Uncle?" Vikka asked curiously to the adult that traveled with the two teens.
"Vikka, my darling. Have you welcomed our new visitors?" an old man called out as he approached the group. "I must welcome you to our village," the man said, holding out his shaking hand to grasp Kana's.
"Of course, Grandpa Gohan! This is Takeshi Kana. He and his fiance, Yamato Aya have traveled to Mugendai valley to find a peaceful place to start their life here together," Vikka explained to her grandfather. "Kana-san is an artist and Aya-san is an apothecary. This is his Uncle, Takeshi Jonu. He hasn't spoken a word yet," Vikka said with a bashful laugh, knowing that the man hadn't had a chance since he had fallen behind the young couple that had come running down the path.
"My my. What professions for youngsters," the old man said. "We'll have to give you two a wedding gift since you have decided to visit us under such circumstances. Were you thinking of staying here in Sundai? Our village is small, but very delightful," the old man said, inviting the young couple with his mayorly skills.
"Oh hey! There's grandpa Gohan," Tako said to Aya as she sat down and began chatting with the young man. "You should come meet him. He's the oldest person that lives here!" Tako said with a smile as he began to walk back over to the group.

Kana agreed with Vikka, letting her understand that he did so by a small hum. "Mhrm." He almost came to believe that he actually was an artist for a moment just from the ladies reaction. "My Uncle Jonu is. . ." Kana started to say strongly but drifted off for a moment to think of the right words. "He is helping us find the perfect place too settle down." He said finally with another smile. Looking back to the pirate Kana understood that they would most likely soon be parting ways, because this town seemed safer than any other place in the world at the moment. Clearing his throat once more he noticed an older man approaching Vikka and himself, but before he could say anything the elderly man grasped the young mans hand and began to shake it firmly. Smiling wide he thought to himself that this must be the friendliest place that he'd ever been too. "Oh, that won't be necessary sir. We would gladly just take your opinion on where to build a home in this cozy countryside." Kana said politely to the old man, finally slipping his hand from the trembling grip. Before he knew it Aya and the young boy were standing at the groups side.

"Oh, what a trusting young lad," the old man chuckled as he put his hand on his herding staff, which had been fashioned into a cane. "Hm," the old man began to think as he stared off towards the fields of the grass country. "An artist and an apothecary," the man mumbled to himself and then stopped in the direction of one particular area. "There's a meadow not too far down the river. It holds great beauty and many herbs that this lovely young lady may find helpful in her work," the man quivered as he pointed a mile away to a small river. "That is a man made stream we dug to this village many decades ago. The main river is much more wider and fierce, so do be careful," the man warned the two. "Toka-san. Why don't you ask your brother if he has any lumber available for this young couple to purchase," the old man instructed the sheep herder, who in turn took his leave and sprinted towards one of the homes in the village.
"I've just finished my spring cleaning, so I hope you two would take my present of some furniture," Vikka said to the young couple as she took Aya by the hand. "And I'm sure we'll become very close friends," the woman noted to the girl.
"Ah, yes. Why don't you two scout the river while we barter with young Uncle here about lumber. We would offer you an already built house, but I'm afraid they're all occupied," the old man said with a smile.

Aya re-joined the group after her frolic with the cute little sheep. She grabbed Kana's arm while the old man spoke to them. "Thank you, Vikka-san!" Aya chimed squeezing the woman's hands lightly as the older woman promised to become good friends with Aya. "Let's go, Kana-kun!" the pale haired girl said with excitement as she took off running and skipping once again. The smile on her face seemed to fade slightly as she got towards the edge of the village and closer to the river. With that half smile, she turned towards Kana. Now that excitement was over and the thrill of a new location settled in Aya's mind, she had to turn and talk to her partner about the area. "It seems a little good to be true, don't you think Kana-kun?" Aya asked him as the first spot they tried seemed to be the best bet. "I never thought people and friendly as this lived outside Shimagakure," Aya said mostly to herself as she walked along the side of the man-made river. Her blue eyes looked up to scan the country side. There was a very small patch of trees ahead, but it was the only density she could see for what seemed miles. "Ne, ne! Didn't it seem like that Vikka lady was trying to check out Jonu-sensei?" Aya asked Kana with a little sheepish grin.

Kana nodded to Aya sweetly and ran off excitedly with the sweet girl. "Thank you for all your help, sir." Kana said in a positively happy tone. The river roared silently as the water violently traversed its course down the gentle plain. He nodded towards Aya happily and responded "Of course, it looks perfect out here." Eying the area around them the shinobi searched for any hindrances that may cause problems in the future. Something caught his eye for a moment, and it was the hard earth beneath his feet. Bending down he grazed the ground with his palm, digging his fingers down into the dirt. Unexpectedly the young shinobi grabbed a rather large rock and stood back up. "The ground is a bit to hard and rocky here for farming, maybe we'd better keep looking." Kana suggested to Aya as he dropped the rock to the earth, making a rather large dent and loud thud. Kana grasped Aya's hand and continued down the calm river in search of a more suitable area to create a homestead. As they walked the Kun' Kumo was thinking of what Aya had said about Jonu and Vikka. "Hrm, yea she did seem a little interested. But, it would be like a one night stand because Jonu is going back to Shima soon." Kana stated as the couple walked. Although Kana was against it, he thought that maybe Jonu would do it anyways since one night stands are in a pirates nature.

"Mmm... True," Aya said, agreeing with Kana about the one-night-stand. She leaned her head on his shoulder as they walked along the river. It seemed like they had been walking forever as the met the real river where the man-made one had been channeled off. Lifting up her head, Aya recalled something that was written in the scroll that had been sent back by her mother and Shinichi. "Shinichi and my mom said that there were catacombs somewhere around here," Aya said as they entered a more forested area. Since they were by the main river, Aya had a feeling the soil may be more fertile here, so she continued to scout out for a hole that may lead down to some catacombs. If Kana or Aya had the earth affinity, she would speculate that creating their own catacombs wouldn't be a problem, but since neither of them did, the two would have to look for some already made ones.

After a while of walking with Aya's head pressing against his shoulder they crossed over into an area with a bit more agricultural potential. The natural river roared at them, spraying and hissing water at them from only a few feet away. "Catacombs?" Kana said curiously too Aya, thinking of the great fun they could have in an endless cave. "Well, that's something we'll have to consider while looking for a place to build out house." Kana said with a small nod. It felt awkward to be talking with the girl about building a house at the ripe age of teenagers, but he would do anything for Ichi and the well being of Shimagakure. Bending down once again the shinobi pressed his hand against the ground, creating a small impression of the palm. Seeping his fingers down deep into the dirt Kana brought a chunk of earth up to his nose. Sniffing it for a moment the young man could smell the difference between the moisture in the dirt. Giving a nod to Aya he said "The earth is good, and the river looks like we could handle it." Looking around a little more he decided that the tree's could provide for some fire wood or just a place to sit in the shade. "I think we should live here." Kana said with a smile to Aya, as he did so a fluttery feeling exploded in his stomach. Even if it was a disguise it got him excited about life and everything in general.

As Aya continued to stand and look around while Kana tested the dirt, her heart became more and more attached to the place. The sounds of the river were definitely a song that she could fall asleep to every night. There were also other sounds; birds, the wind through the trees, crickets, cicadas, and the whisper of grass blades brushing up against one another. Not only the sounds, but the beautiful sight of such greenery gave off such a tranquil feel. The morning light coming in through the trees just made the area seem nostalgic. "Ah-huh," Aya spoke without a care as Kana confirmed the good soil and healthy earth. On Kana's decisions, Aya met his smile with her own and reached for his hand to interlace her fingers through his. "I like it here," she agreed as if she were falling for her own disguise, but Aya quickly reminded herself that this was for Shimagakure and for the protection of Ichi.
Closing her blue eyes for a moment, she let her chakra flow to feel out the water sources in the area. Aya could feel the underground water beneath their feet and it was apparent to her that it moved through catacombs. "There are catacombs beneath here as well. I'm sure of it," Aya said trying to stay on task for the village and not for her own pleasure. She was only fifteen, so she felt the butterflies in her stomach shouldn't be causing so much commotion. With out looking straight at him, Aya squeezed Kana's hand tightly as her heart began to pound. 'I Love You,' the words itched to be rolled off her tongue, but Aya couldn't say it yet. The disguise the two were taking on felt as if it was taking her over. It was to her better judgement not to say those words. Instead, Aya turned to Kana with a bright smile and a slightly reddened face. "Let's go tell Jonu-sensei!" she managed to sing out.

-Spring 1 Year 104 Night-
It was a long walk from the location that Kana and Aya discovered. The villagers pressed that they should go searching for the young couple, but Jonu insisted that they would be fine and instead used his bartering skills to learn more about what supplies the small village of Sundai could offer. The young couple would have to give all the Ryo they had in order to pay for the building supplies for the house. The group even had to sell some medical supplies they had been given for the field. It was peaceful here, so the two would be able to re-supply themselves overtime.
Along with the gift of furniture from Vikka, Tako gave Aya the sheep she adored and Gohan gave the pair some seeds for a garden. The old mule was just strong enough to bring the supplies to the location. It took the trio two days to bring the equipment out, since they had to rely on the mule and cart like normal people. Vikka allowed them to stay in her Inn for free as long as Kana promised to paint her a lovely picture some day for her Inn.
Once the supplies were out to the location, Jonu would take his leave with the old mule. Noburo would stay behind, acting as a wild bird and nothing more. And the two genin would begin the construction of their base after planning and preparing for a short day with many tasks.

Aya was more than thrilled with all the wedding gifts that had been given to them, even if they weren't really getting married... Aya named the sheep Kawaii, just because it was so cute! The girl didn't whine one bit about moving the supplies like a normal person, even though she whined to herself in her mind. The fact that they had to buy supplies bothered her... Her and Kana could've made their own chopped wood to build their home! But an apothecary and a painter wouldn't have such skills... Aya was more than ready to get away from Sundai village for awhile in order to let her legs stretch and use her full strength and talents!
With the list in hand of things to complete, Aya was ready to start working!
