Lauss with a knife would just be laughable. But Lauss with a gun... well, that was still pretty laughable, but at least he would know a bit about what he was doing. "Does Mister Eli keep any spares around that I could practice with?" He inched closer to his new-found hunting buddy, excitement bubbling up in him. He nodded at Uzi's comment. Interesting had never been anything but positive to the proto, and took it as a compliment to their "team". It wasn't clear if Lauss actually knew what hunting was for, or what it entailed, but he may learn fairly quickly.
Lee smiled up at Eli and back down to "Rosco". Questions...? A million popped into her mind at once, and her worries started to grow. It was hard to keep track of them all, and it would be impossible to ask all of them, and so she tried to sort through the most important. "What should I feed him? Can he eat steak? And what if he falls down the stairs? Should I keep him in one room? How many times a day will he pee?" Her questions went on, and disastrous scenarios played through her mind. What if he chokes on one of his toys? What if he trips down the stairs? What if Lauss drops him on his head?! She looked down at Rosco, and he gave her a small lick on the chin. Her worries faded at the adorable sight in front of her, and her eyes were once again googly and in love.

Uzi thought about this for a moment " Indoors, there is a closet with guns and a case with bullets, they are locked but I can get past that." Or at least the essentic assumed it could. The orange armored creature motion towards the door " Could you get that?' Uzi could open it itself but it was be easier for Lauss becuase he had hands
Eli almost regretted asking lee to ask questions, the brunet seemed to have a lot. Still they were all relevant. " Puppy chow for now and he's a bit too small for steak yet give it a few months, take him to a vet if he limps after falling or seems listless otherwise don't worry."
Eli explained the bathroom break rule based on the puppies age, when they ate and how soon after they'd need to go out. The hunter did his best to answer every question and assure Lee that Rosco would be fine in most situations. Lauss was probably in the most danger, at risk of becoming a chew toy or a surrogate sibling. " we should probably head back to the house now"

Lauss nodded. Oh, he'd find a way to get in there if it was the last thing he did. Lauss opened the door for his orange, new buddy and followed Uzi inside. "Locks usually have keys, I think." He looked at the case carefully, trying to see if perhaps there was a small switch he could flick to release the lock. He floated up to get a look around the top of the case, searching for any sign of a key.
She tried her very hardest to remember every detail of what he was saying. This was one of the biggest responsibilities she'd ever had in her short life, and she didn't want anything to go wrong. "W-would it be okay to call you if I don't know what to do?" She followed Eli back out, hoping that Lauss hadn't gotten into too much trouble while they were away. She tugged on the puppy's ears as he tried to gnaw on her finger. So cute.

Sitting in a small dish so it couldn't just slide off into nowhere was a small silver key that matched the lock on the case.
" I don't see why not , and I can give you my parent's number as well in case I'm away." His parents had done this often offered to be a reliable support system for those they gave puppies to as pets. It was thier responsibility, they'd said, to not just hand the animal over but make sure it could be cared for adequately and that the owner had someone to turn to for help

Spotting the key, Lauss snatched it in his hands and proceeded to unlock the case in one fluid motion. Pulling the doors open, he stared at the guns within it. It was a beautiful sight. He took one in his hands, not paying attention to which he had chosen, and not taking the time to pick carefully as he didn't want to miss the opportunity of a lifetime. "Can I use this one?" He felt the trigger, and, as he'd seen done before, he pulled it. Nothing happened. A dismayed Lauss looked the gun over quickly before looking over to Uzi. "Is it broken?"
Lee let out a sigh. Good then. Nothing to worry about for now. "Is he gonna end up looking like Kell?" She asked, smiling down at Rosco and trailing close behind Eli.

" Needs bullets" the other essentic pointed with a paw to a small gunmetal grey box that rested on the bottom of the closet. The bullets which the guns fired were kept in there, although Uzi had not memorized which kind each gun used so that might be a problem. The combat type was excited though they were close to being ready to go out for a hunt.
" Pretty much, Kell has more tan on his nose than your boy but otherwise they should end up about the same, though Kell is also slim becuase he works often. Rosco might end up a bit pudgier." It tended to happen with pet dogs. They were almost back at the house now and a little worry settled in Eli's mind, Kell was still sleeping under the porch but Lauss and Uzi were nowhere in sight, where had they gone?

What a relief. He thought for a second there they wouldn't be able to hunt. He set the gun to the side and opened the box of bullets, looking over the vast array of types and sizes. Looking at the gun and internally measuring the diameter of the barrel, he narrowed it down to two different bullets. He pulled them out and lifted the gun back up. "How do I put these in?"
Lee giggled at Eli's words. He would be chubby, she'd make sure of that. Perhaps not the healthiest desire for the puppy, but she'd try to make sure he still got his exercise. She'd put Lauss to use, that was for sure. Rosco was getting a little restless, being held for so long, but she continued to try to keep him close.
As they neared the house, Lee's stomach started to twist. Where is he? Surely he was doing something destructive, or maybe Uzi swallowed him whole because he wouldn't stop bothering it. "W-where are they?" She tried to remain calm, or at least sound like she was calm, but she had a tendency to over-react.

Eli opened his mouth to answer as he stepped up onto the front porch and opened the door, from there he could spot Lauss. His green eyes widened in shock as he shouted " Put those down before you kill someone" The Essentic might not have been his to yell at or discipline but Eli felt justified, if Lauss had actually loaded the gun and shot someone.. it would have been a disaster. He doubted the proto even know what he was really doing.
Uzi pinned it's ears to it's head and looked startled at Eli's voice. Apparently this had not been a good idea

Lee's hand shot up to her mouth, the other almost following when she remembered she was still holding a puppy. She could hardly speak she was so furious, and she stormed over to her gun-wielding proto and yanked at the weapon in his hands, placing it on the ground and tugging him away. "We were going to hunt together." Lauss could sense that Lee was angrier than normal, and that Eli was probably a bit upset with him as well, though that wasn't certain. He wasn't the greatest at reading emotion. Rosco was still "smiling" and happy as ever, seemingly oblivious, like Lauss, to what was going on. "Miss Lee, it's okay. We didn't--" Lee bowed to Eli, face red from anger and humiliation, and looked away as she hurriedly muttered a "I'm so sorry. We should go. Please forgive him, he's..." she sighed. There wasn't any excuse she could give him, really. "We'll be leaving now." She held Rosco closer now that her other arm was busy tugging along a Lauss, and struggled to get through the door. "Goodbye." Managing her way to the car, Lauss bowed to his new friend as he was dragged along, hoping one day Lee would let him see this "Uzi" again.
