Jizzy was relapsing again. She could feel the spider crawling over her, the hairy legs, the pincers. She would have hugged her legs if her ankle hadn't been broken. She was shivering now, her eyes spacing out elsewhere.
Tal did notice this and clung to Baba tightly. Mother did this from time to time but he never liked it. No, not a bit. "Ma." He said, trying to catch her attention.

"That's a good boy, Cato!" He couldn't have been happier that Cato had finally started eating without complaint. He had a feeling that wouldn't last, but he was going to enjoy it for the mean time! He blinked over at Tal when he heard the meek, scared tone he had. There was always something wrong when he sounded like that. "Tal...? j**z...? Oh, Sh.... Um... Tal, Cato, come on!" He gently picked up Tal and put him down onto the ground, scooping up Cato and taking Tal's hand, "This way, Tal, It's alright." He quickly lead the two to the other end of the ballroom and sat them on the stage. "Stay here." With that he quickly went to the door, waving franticly at a passing centaur boy. "I need you to watch those two for a minute, please!" With that he ran back to Jizzy. "j**z...? Jizzy, it's okay. You're safe... There's no spiders..."
The spider mishap blinked as he was suddenly moved, whinning as he was left behind. What gives?!

She was trembling, rather strongly, but she nodded. "No spiders.." She repeated, but fear did things to a person that logic couldn't often overcome. "No spiders.." She repeated as her whole body trembled with the feeling of legs all over her.
Tal blinked several times, hugging his doll tight. "Ma.." He mumbled again looking at his mother, then he turned to Cato, pointing ov er at the table. "Ma." He said again in a soft tone.

Well, it didn't seem as bad as the first time he'd seen her do this. "That's right, no spiders." Just to be sure he started to run his hands over her as if brushing something off, though there was nothing. "See? No spiders."
Cato blinked as the other quietly spoke and looked back at where he had pointed. What? What was he trying to say? Ugh, he'd never understand people, would he...? He whined and wiggled, quieting down when the centaur gently picked him up and rocked him. That's better...

Jizzy sighed and the trembling lessened. "Right.." She was coming back to reality. "No spider, right.. I..I'm sorry." She whispered, ashamed of herself for relaspign that way.
Tal sniffled as the other boy didn't really reply. He clung to his doll tightly, gazing out to the table. Was she alright?"

"Um... Salem...? Is everything alright?" The centaur asked, a little unnerved. He had been on his way to the playroom when Salem had grabbed him. The young boy looked to be about 12, his skin was deeply tanned, his bottom hald looked to be of an appaloosa with a white 'blanket' of fur on his rump with neat little spots, the rest of his fur was a redish brown to match his hair. He also had freckles upon his face.
Cato cuddled to the half-horse, looking up at him curiously as he spoke, not that he could understand a word of it. He wondered what was so important that his meal should be interupted...
"There... That's it... See? You're okay." He smiled at her once she seemed to come to her senses, slowly letting her go again. "It's alright, Jizzy... You're doing great! You'll be over this fear in no time. You'll see. I'm just sorry I didn't warn you what a Drider was in the first place. Really shoulda done that huh?" He scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "Hm...? Yeah, everythings okay. Sorry about that." He spoke now to the centaur boy who relaxed a bit at the catfolk's words.

Jizzy looked up at the foriegn voice. "Oh, yes. SOrry.." She mumbled. She was still a bit out of it, but reality was coming at her very quickly. She took one of her crutches into her hand and lifted herself of the chair, her bandaged ankle lifted above the ground and she started towards Tal.
Tal mumbled sadly, but as Jizzy approached him he smiled. 'Ma!" He exclaimed. SHe was ok, right? He entnded a small arm out, the other keeping a hard grip on Baba.

Salem smiled slightly as she got up and started to head back to Tal. She was okay now. He walked along with her as well, taking Cato back when he got there. "You can go, sorry again." The young centaur nodded and galloped away, eager to get to the playroom. "Come on, lets finish feeding you Cato." With that went back to the table, put Cato down, and pulled out the food, wiggling it at him again.
Cato allowed himself to be picked up again, smiling as he saw the food, he was still hungry! He snapped up the food in the wiggling spoon, too hungry to care it wasn't alive at the time.
"So... How's Deimos?" He decided it might be a good time to change the subject...

Jizzy picked Tal up with one hand. It was rather easy when he helped himself climb up. He clung to her tightly as she limped back, sittign down calmly. "Deimos.. Well.. He's alright.. I'm trying to teach him, but he keeps setting things on fire." Her lips quirked into a smile.
Tal listened to the adults and he smiled as a familiar name met his ear. "DAY DAY!!" He cried out. His big brother was fun!!

He laughed softly, "Well, that's how it can be when you first start learning. Personally I'm all for magical items. Can't cast on my own to save my life. He's very gifted to have already started using magic on his own. I'm sure he'll get the hang of it soon. More so with good teachers." He nodded in agreement with himself as he wiggled food at Cato.
Cato was starting to feel full and reluctant. He didn't really want to eat this anymore... After a couple of more bites he started to turn his head away, pouting.
Salem cleaned the spoon on the table clothe, watching the stain fade away before closing the bottle of food and putting all of it away.

"Hullo?"
The shy, almost whistling child's voice echoed hesitantly through the empty ballroom, a pair of large eyes scanning the tables from behind orange-tinted lenses. Anitia was nervous - she hadn't been back to the Home since Mama had adopted her, except maybe to her room to play. What if they were mad at her?
Of course, her siblings didn't have the same reservations. With a squeak, she found herself scooped up by her older brother Cody as the golden-haired boy came through the doorway, lifting the bat-child to his lean shoulders. "Come on, Neets, you're blockin' the door."
A small figure zipped past Anitia's head, spinning in circles. "Oooooo, look, there's a stage!" Cried the blue-skinned pixie, dancing in midair with glee. "Can we dance on the stage? I bet it'd be AWESOME!"
"Weren't we gonna play pirates?" Asked another voice. Like a mini-stampede, a group of children entered behind Anitia and Cody, some darting around to explore while others followed their siblings toward the other side of the room. The speaker was a little boy, roughly six or seven in human years, with spiky brown hair that flopped into startlingly intelligent green eyes. Beside him, a slightly younger child with dark purple eyes and long, matching hair grinned almost shyly. "Yes, pirates would be a fun game. We could play on the stage!"

A small amount of light was comming out below the curtains from behind the stage, a rustling noise could be heard accompanyied by laughter.
"Hehe Nari-chan you look silly!" A soft sweet voice, that sounded much like a small boy could be heard.
"WELL... I'm a pirate princess! And, cuz I look silly to you means you gots to walk the plank!" A much louder voice replied, sounding obviously like a girl's.
" I dun wanna walk the plank!" Replied the first voice.
"Hehe, I think you both look silly." Another replied, sounding older than the second.
"Shh.. someone's here."
Poking out from between the curtains was the head of a toddler dragon, his large green eyes blinking about veiwing the newcommers. Only one he recognized, smiling sweetly he waved to the small bat-girl. "Nee-ti-ah!" He called out, he remembered her! "I haven't seen you since forever! It's me Garreth!" The dragon bounded out from behind the curtains towards the bat-girl. It was true, the last the saw of each other was when he was an infant and she was still unadopted some months back. He liked playing with her, she was fun to explore with in the nursery. "How you doing?" He grinned, much larger than she had last seen him, now some ten feet long anf four feet wide.
Out from behind the curtain, another head poked out, a toddler with snow white skin and ebony hair. Her dark eyes scanned the group, she didn't recognize any of them. Though she was a baby when she first arrive from 'the far away place'. She kept her distance, unsure of the newcommers.

Cody glanced at the little dragon with a friendly grin, which grew wider as Anitia squeaked "Garreth!" gleefully. Laughing, the boy swung his little sister down so she could run to the dragon-child. "Well well, guess you didn't have to worry after all, huh, Neets." He winked at the toddler just behind the curtain. "Hello, I'm Cody, 'Nitia's big brother."
"And I'm her big sister, Kaiarnai!" Announced the pixie, zipping in figure eights. Her skin was pale, dusty blue, long hair like a streak of thick, dark sapphire. Her blue jeans and bright pink shirt were obviously tailored for her short size, as was the diamond-like pendant she wore at her neck. "You can call me Kai, though, everybody does. Wow, that's Garreth?!? I thought he was LITTLE!"
"Compared to you, not likely." Cody teased. Kai stuck her tongue out at him as she fluttered backwards. "I can still zap you, dirt-head."

Nariko poked her head back behind the curtain, whipsering something to someone else. Reluctantly she came out, something with wild magenta hair was sitting on her head. "Umm. hi." Nariko mumbled, waving a bit, standing next to her younger brother Garreth. "I'm Nari, I'm his older sissie." She explained, unnaturally shy around the children.
Aphrodite smiled, from her top perch on Nariko's head, a mere five inches tall. By looks she was the eldest of the three, but by height? ... hmm that was a different story. "I'm Aphrodite!" She exclaimed, waving to everyone rathering happily. "I'm their big sister!"
Garreth grinned sheepishly. "Nari, Dite, This is Nee-tee-ah, I used to play with her when I was a baby 'fore mama adopted us... and these are all her siblings." He explained.
"Pleasure to meet you." Aphrdoite smiled, bowing her head a bit.

Kai actually stopped buzzing for a moment, hanging in midair to gape at Aprodite, and Anitia's grin grew until it looked like she was going to burst with glee. "Well I'll be switched." the little blue pixie muttered, awed. "I hardly ever meet anyone my natural size."
Zipping down to the bat-toddler's head, the girl landed with a light shimmer of blue energy and bowed cheerfully. "Nice to meet you guys. Neets was showing us 'round, since we'd never been here before."
"And what's this I hear about a pirate princess?" Cody grinned engagingly at Nariko. She was rather cute - actually, she reminded him of Nia or even Neets when she was confronted with new people. Or Karaya, for that matter. Then again, at least she wasn't hiding. A step up from his little sisters. "You know, pirate princesses are warriors where we come from - they're the best kind."
"Like Auntie Siker!" Said another small boy, ducking his head. Slightly younger than his brunette brother, this one had curiously golden eyes and looked rather nervous.
