Wow so many of you have a set direction or already have cool jobs. My life isnt quite as interesting. I dont have a job currently (b/c my car broke down a few months ago and it isnt fixed yet sad ..) Before the incendent with the car happened I worked in a call center. I was a buisness customer care rep. Say that ten times fast, lol. I had to say that phrase on every call....shew did that get annoying. Even though currently Im stuck! I do have goals for my future. I want to major in psychology and minor in creative writing. So eventually I want to be a psychologist. I also want to write on the side and maybe get some of my poems published. I already have an idea for a book with my past poems. However it feels like Im waiting too long to do all the things I want to do. Im almost 20 and I have yet to finish even a semster of college. I have tried to go twice and both times I had to quit because my mom needed help. I've been takening care of her since I was 11. But anywho...I hope to achieve my dreams one day. Good luck to you all in everything that you do!!!

I'm a student smile I'm doing a course for Graphic Design, which envolves designing posters, leaflets, websites, etc. etc. Since it envolves a lot of drawing there's a chance you can do something in the art business too, but I'm not counting on it XD
Before this I did a secretary course...and that simply didn't suit me. But back when I was choosing it, I just came from highschool and just picked something random; I picked this because it had languages and I happened to be good at it. At my working placement I found out how dumb I was to choose it back then. I'm much happier with my current course now 3nodding
As an additional job I work in a supermarket at the cash desk XD I'm doing this for 2 and a half years allready. Not really exciting but it pays well for an additional job. I'm working 12 hours a week there, more in hollidays.

I do graphic design and I really love it. I didn't study that at all, but somehow I managed to take an interest I developed at the end of college and turn it into a job!
Right now I work as the director of communications for a large church, which means I get to do a little bit of everything, from designing all their publications to creating the website to advertising with the local papers to coordinating certain events.
I know that I got super lucky to get that kind of job right out of college though. But I'm grateful!

I am currently a college student and my intended majors of Acting and Creative Writting aren't going so well. xp
So...aside from my not-knowing-what-I'll-do-with-my-college-oppurtunity I work at a toy store (the kid kind) and I lifegaurd.
I had wanted to be a film actor (nothing that would make me famous) or voice actor but after taking the limited courses at my college, I have discovered that the courses were too basic to be getting something out of them and that I am not exactly the best at this.
My school doesn't have any creative writting courses either (very limited regular English courses as well) so I'm a little stuck as to what I want to do in life. xp

I am a college student but in a few days I will start my new job in Florida (I'm moving).
After I return from Florida, I am going to take up a job in Criminal Justice. Which at the time is undecided.

I've got it easy now xd sweatdrop I don't have any kids, I live in my two bedroom appartment (computer room all to myself) with my unofficial fiance. I used to live with a father who made no effort to understand me nor appreciate me as an individual and as a human being, but simply pointed out everything I wasn't, while working as a Gas Station Attendant, and at a Video Store at the same time. I worked 6 days a week for over three years, and held down two to three jobs at a time. I finally moved out but then had roomates which sucked, and cut down to just the one Video Store which sucked more the longer I stayed, and then became a full time student for 4 months. It was all hard, but FINALLY, I graduated in December, got hired in April, and now work as a Dental Receptionist in an office that's open from 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday. I have an hour unpaid lunch where I can eat at any of the food places right near by, I'm home by 5pm every day, and have three days off each week. Not to mention the pay increase.
I was always "Yeah yeah" to anyone who said "Go back to school!" But really, taking a set course for a specific job was the best thing I could have done for myself. whee AND Dentistry is feeking cool. biggrin

MST3Kakalina a minor in Russian/Russian Studies. Oooooh, that's really interesting! I'm in University getting a BA Honours in English Lit. and a minor in Religious Studies. I'm not allowed to work because of my visa. What do I hope to do with this? I am not sure yet. I originally wanted to teach High School English, but... it seems like more stress than it's worth. Now I am thinking of trying to get a job with the Canadian government (I can speak French fluently) or trying to move back to Switzerland and work for an NGO in Geneva or something. The latter is MUCH harder, but it's my dream to go home someday. I've been asking my friends who still live over there to look around and ask their work places for any openings. Hopefully I will find something biggrin

I work at a Toy Store.
People always say, "Oh that really suits you!" and then they ask "What kind of toy store?" lol
I work at the kind for little kids, not an adult toy store... xd

I would like to be a nurse. My parents brought up the idea but it would be good to me cause I like taking care of anyone and if whenever my family or friends are sick I'll be able to aide them. There is a great shortage of nurses where I live...

Oh gosh I have no idea what to do! I'm in college but my acting major fell through and now I have no idea what to do. Well, it didn't fall through I just don't know that I'm good enough. I'm working at Bath and Body Works in the mall where I live, but I'm not sure if I can get a job where I go to school because I can't afford a car. I like the job alright, but my manager went on maternity leave and everything's gone all to heck. Hopefully, I can get everything together soon. sweatdrop

MST3Kakalina i'm a college student, so that doesn't leave much time for work, but i do work during the summers as a tour guide in a local cave. it's a pretty neat job for a lot of reasons: it's great for people-watching, it affords a lot of free time for reading or writing or drawing, it's NOT working for Corporate America (tm) which is a really GREAT feeling, i can work on my people skills in a comfortable environment (people afford you a certain amount of respect as a tour guide, even if it's only for the duration of the tour) where i'm the one in control of the interaction, and it's a chance to get paid for talking to people about something that interests me. it's also a job that attracts a certain character of people that i would define as "quirky," who are nearly all great and fun to work with. Wow, that sounds like a really great job. I work on a farm... with horses, goats, and dogs. I really don't like people, so this is the perfect job for me. Yes, of course it involves all the tasks that taking care of horses USUALLY implies, but I really do enjoy it and I get to spend my time around the animals as opposed to being around boring people. I'm also a college student, so I have to balance work and school, but... And my plan for the near future is to be a librarian. That way, when I DO have to interact with people, I can yell at them and tell them to shut up -- and that's my job. biggrin pirate

(Hey, don't worry, I don't have a car either and I live in the middle of nowhere!).
