it sometimes stresses me out severely by the level of intelligiance in our band. Our freshman have no brains and you want to kill them, but it's a good experience over all.

i was a former marching band member.not to mention i'm proud to be a part of it. heart

i played trumpet.

the feeling while performing is undecribable.amazing.cool..it is an art!

Marching band is really fun. And it does take alot of hard work. But to really enjoy marching you have to have the heart for it. heart

I am a flute and piccolo player. I play flute for concert season unless the music calls for pic. but i march piccolo and it is so much fun. Band camp is amazing. I think everyone should do marching band.

I've marched clarinet for 3 years, bass clarinet for 1, and I'm the drum major this year. smile

My school is rather small so marching band is a requirement. I like the social aspect of it, but I hate the overall idea of marching. Music was never meant to be visual : and they make us dance while we play. like wtf i dont dance. i play music for the fun of putting emotion into what im doing, i dont play music so i can walk in step in front of my entire town >.> but overall i guess its not SO bad.

And I accept you pity wholeheartedly, because frankly, MARCHING BAND IS TERRIBLE! But it's like a cult! Once you get in, you CANT get out. Thats how I got stuck doing it for three years... stare

By the way... COLORGUARD ROCKS!!! (I'm a guard gal)

first part again: if you find something good about it, its not that bad. if you got in with a negative...crap i sound like...idk an annoying person. whatevs. marching band is fun smile
