Dorian had an almost cheshire cat like grin as he looked towards the man who'd just asked about his boots, giving the dog one last pat before it left. Kell. Good name for a dog. Standing up proudly and dusting the boots off, he smiled.
"I got them at this transvestite place called 'Trashy Diva'. The exact BRAND is called 'Kinky Boots' and they're boots that are stillettos made SPECFICIALLY for men. Sexy enough to wear on the town, but strong enough for a man, is the slogan. Why don't you gimmie your email or cell number and we can meet up somewhere and I can refer you! You have to know somebody already involved with the company to get in, so we can go shoe shopping!" he chirruped happily, glad to find that FINALLY another man understood his passion for shoes. He gripped the other man's hands as if they were long-time best friends and almost purred with pleasure. He had a good feeling about this guy. He might even make an actual friend this time, instead of scaring them off.
"My name's Dorian Cromwell! I'm a doctor and work with bioengineering medicine, so you probably haven't heard of me, but that's okay! I'm not like most stuffy, doom and gloom doctors anyways! What's your name, lovely? Oh! We better exchange numbers before we both get caught up in all this ruckus, hm?" he chirruped on.

Gasp! Someone with an amazing sense of fashion was actually wanting to go shoe shopping with him?! He'd even called him lovely! He needed to wear this outfit more often. Thank the Gods for this ball! "My name's Verdant Lindtstrom. I'm a Goth musician, so if I didn't have good taste in clothes, especially shoes, I'd never make it in the biz. I gotta say, Dorian, those are some seriously beautiful shoes."
Verdant looked around the room and frowned. No paper! He shrugged, forced himself to bloom, and pulled off a petal after letting go of the doctor's hands. It kinda hurt like pulling out a hair, but he so needed this man's number. He wrote his digits on the petal and handed it to Dorian. "It's my house number. I don't have a computer or cell phone, so it's all I got." He then grinned widely. "Hey, so I make most of my clothes. I made this outfit this morning, actually. I could make you a few coats or jackets for free; I just love sewing!"
He then turned to find Ellandra walking back to her seat with an adorable little gold box. "Hey! This is Dorian, the only guy I've ever met to appreciate good taste and not have a notorious gay lisp!" He'd ask her about her ears once Dorian went to see Banning.

Ellandra nodded politely, a timid smile working its way onto her face. "Nice to meet you," she greeted softly. "I'm Ellandra Grady.... I.... I hope you're enjoying yourself, sir?" Her voice was wavery, but mostly clear. She was still rather frightened though, and she held tightly to the box with her little social spark.

Dorian smiled warmly at the woman, Ellandra. What a cute name. He put a hand to his face with a giggle, then took one of hers, kissing it like the gentleman he could be for breif flashes in time. Looking up at her, he could see her glowing. Perhaps it was doctors intuition but was she pregnant? No no, it was too early to tell as the glow wavered and left, so best not to bring it up yet. Sweeping her up in his arms, he gave her a little hug with a small laugh, petting her hair.
"No need to look so anxious, pet. You look stunning, you seem sweet, and that timid yet adorable look truly suits you. NOW! You absolutely MUST come shopping with me and Ver sometime, for we will need at least two people to tell us if an outfit looks good or not. Oh, you'd look absolutely gorgeous in dark greens and other such colors. Who did your hair? I can never get mine to go up all pretty like that, it's always just falling all over the place and expects itself to look pretty just flipping about." he fawned, pulling Verdant over estatically. He really did enjoy babies. They made him think of sad things sometimes though, but he covered up that flicker of pain quickly enough.
Looking to Verdant, he beamed. "Oooooh, can I have one of your demo cd's Ver darling? I absolutely LOVE new music that not everyone's listening to! It helps me concentrate while working and cooking, and it's all around fun to dance with!" he continued on, in true small-child-on-crack Dorian fashion.

"Oh, Ellandra, please come with us! I could buy you some more comfortable shoes and maybe something nice for Faolan, eh? And Dorian's right; a dark green dress would look beautiful on you!" He beamed when Dorian complimented Ellandra's hair. "Oh my God, you like it? I did her hair, like, before she went into the office! It was really easy, considering how long her hair is, but I guess I just have experience." Verdant flipped his long black hair and smiled. It was pretty long, especially for a guy, but that's what made it so pretty- that's what he liked to tell himself, at least.
"I'd love to give you a demo CD! It's mostly just covers of my favorite songs, but there are four or five of my own on there. Cambion is a pretty good song, though probably not suitable for children, you know? Oh, and you like cooking too? Have I mentioned how amazing you are?!" Verdant seemed to be getting a contact high from Dorian's small-child-on-crack enthusiasm. Seriously, if this guy were gay, he'd marry him. He was getting nothing on his gaydar, but he was more than happy just being best friends. Besides, Verdant might already like another guy...

Ellandra said nothing, her eyes widening as she looked from one fashion-fanatic to another. "U-ummmm," she murmured, blushing and sounding rather flustered. "I - I suppose..... sometime....?"

"I think it'd be lots of fun, Ellandra! We haven't really hung out since last time, so it'd be nice to catch up, you know?" Verdant gave her a warm smile in hopes that she'd be less flustered. He couldn't help being so cheerful. It was a night for fun, for dancing, for eating delicious food that would add on a few pounds! No point in being bashful tonight, right?
"Hey, I've talked way too much! Come on, let's sit down and just chat a while, 'kay? I wanna know more about Faolan and that gold box of yours."

Ellandra nodded, taking a seat again in one of the chairs, never once loosening her grip on that little box. Her spark would remain safely with her throughout the night, even if sh had to glue it to her hands. "All right. . . what are you wanting to know?" she asked Verdant quietly. She hoped he wouldn't bring up her ears again, because she didn't have much of an answer for him if he did.

"Well, what does Faolan do for a living? What kind of guy is he? Is he a cat-person or a dog-person?" Verdant couldn't stop grinning. This was all very nostalgic; he was quite certain Ellandra was used to his barrage of questions. Besides, it had been a while.

Eli and Kell emerged from the office, letting Dr. Cromwell know it was his turn to face Banning. The auburn haired man quickly found a new spot to sit and another cookie to eat. He'd listen to the current conversation and see if it was something he could contribute to. If not the man would just focus on getting used to the odd persistent tugging feelings he got from his spark.
