"Helpful ad practically advice is always much loved by me. Some spend too long following others, and when the others reach their destination or leave them, they don't know which path to choose",she shook her head,"my mind is pretty open",she laughed,"on you aren't too old, you've been through so much, but you still have a long while to live. maybe young, an this may sound boring, but I'm not one to play tag anymore frolicking around, oh no, I prefer to have intelligent conversation and to debate. Listening back to that does sound boring. Besides my legs beat most people in races, except for stallion ceryeni, hey always beat me." She hoped around, frolicking like a foal laughing.

Oathkeeper smiled and his ears perked. He loved racing, it was one of his most favorite things. But with his age, he most likely didn't stand a chance against a youthful and spritely cerynei mare. But alas, life was not about winning the race, but rather running a good one. He wanted to have that kind of fun reguardless of coarse. "A race sounds most enjoyable!" he practically chirpped happily. "In my day I could beat just about anybody. Although I doubt that now, I would still enjoy it most. It is good to push one's self to their limits now and again."

"It is indeed, so in your 'prime' do you think you could have beaten me? Your legs are long, so you don't have to move they as fast as I." She imagined the race as she frolicked around,"would you like a race? No holding back. I haven't raced against someone as big or a strong as you." She was slightly worried she'd be beaten, but was determined.

"Long legs or not, my age might be my inhibitor" Oath chuckled. "But yes, I'd love a race. They're one of my favorite things" the older stallion smiled, "Ladies 1st with the choice of starting and finishing points." Oathkeeper was filled with the same kind of childish glee he felt in his younger days. Races always brought out the kid in him.

"Okay, speed or endurance and stamina? Hmmmm, okay, to the river. Yes, the river shall be our end point, not too far." Keii beamed,"I'm glad you like races, ready? I shall count from three",she nodded,"three, two, ONE!" She set off at a steady pace.

Oathkeeper bolted off too, slightly behind her. He however wasn't wise enough to pace. The wind in his braids made him forget his age. It was pure exhileration once more! He dashed out ahead of the mare, making a quick dash for the river from where they were. The cold was making it harder to breath as he pressed on though. The quick start wasn't wise indeed. Keii would surpass him any moment now likely, as he started to slow down so as not to over exert himself. My bad he laughed in his head to himself.

Keii watched him zoom past, her heart momentarily sank. But then she tried not to laugh at his mistake when she remembered what would happen. She kept her breathing the same and paced on a little faster to catch up, not yet full speed, she'd push on hard for the last stretch. Her two toed hooves dug into the floor as she pressed on, now side by side with Oath, but she wasn't trying to surpass him yet. "Not far, far now",she now pelted at full speed hoping it would be enough to get their quickly, hopefully, her agility and speed would see her through and wouldn't be beaten by oathkeeper's ripped muscles and tall body.

"I'm...old...geez" he panted. This was actually winding the stallion. Oh how he loved racing, but now he was a little out of shape. Oathkeeper guessed that was to be expected. They were still neck and neck, but he had the feeling the spritely deer-type mare would be able to bound ahead---and sure enough, he was right. When she gave it her last burst of speed, he was tailing her without much energy to give himself another jump start. He would most likely have to accept a fair defeat, but he was so happy for the fun none-the-less.

"At least you aren't ancient",she looked back and winked. Finally she reached there destination and stopped smiling at him,"enjoyable race. Very brief indeed." She caught her breath,"Thank you for that lovely race, it is an honor to race with you." She bowed to him, her legs ached.

At least he didn't place to far behind her. He also laughed lightly at her ancient comment. He was exaughsted. "My" he breathed, "My honor too, friend Keii" He started to catch his breath after a few moments and gave one of his friendly farewell smiles. "It's been great! I will rememeber our conversation for a long time and of coarse, what I've learned about Cerynei" he began, "I hope to run into you again on my wanders Keii. I'm heading home now, might not make it now" he laughed and was joking of coarse. He turned his tail and headed towards home. "Take care" he shouted over his shoulder as he vanished over the horizon.
