The amount of knowledge he held was unnerving. Not nearly as unnerving as the talk of gods, though. It was almost ingrained in them all now, mentions of gods and heaven brought to mind a certain individual who'd masqueraded as the kindest, gentlest soul among them, to betray them in the worst way possible. No one had ever suspected a thing, and for a while, it had been so hard for her division to pull together after their captain's desertion, though she doubted they had it any worse than the 9th and 5th divisions.
So this angel knew of Seireitei. Now to test a theory. "Forgive for the subject change, but...have you ever heard of man named Aizen Sousuke?" There was a rather serious and almost somber look on her face as Ree addressed him.

"I've heard of him. The biggest traitor among your kind from what my ears tell me, and quite a shame too since he was very close with many of you..."
He looked into her somber eyes with a look of comforting and gentleness. The kind of 'if it hurts, let me heal it' look that would always make someone feel better.
"Did you know him personally?" Mao asked in a kinder and more comforting voice...

They were all trained to be so insular, reclusive, avoiding contact with others. Other souls with power, the ones that didn't fit into shinigami or hollow, weren't encountered often. Trusting those was often difficult. So that look got little response from the pink haired girl. "No. I didn't know him. I'm not even part of his former division."
"How much do you know about the shinigami? It's really odd for someone to know as much as you've said already." There was the tiniest hint of suspicion in her voice. The way Mao knew more about her than she did him wasn't doing much to help her trust him.

"I was in heaven for a long time before I was cursed with demon blood and forced down here.During my time their, I got intriguied by your kind from the book I read that I told you of earlier and often seeked information from other Angels. To my suprise, gossip about other races, especially the soul reapers, was quiet common between other angels, and I heard that information from them," Mao was as relaxed as he was earlier and with a slight smile on his face.
"But my knowledge on that topic is very limited up till that point since by then I was forced unto earth. Unless you want me to talk about my days teaching the wisdom of Buddha, I would recommend a change of subject."

She wasn't finished with the questions. Some ancient book would not have information on Aizen, and she knew they hadn't even discussed Aizen much with Kurosaki's gang. And those kids would get more information than some outsider. Something wasn't adding up. There was an information leak somewhere, and Ree intended to find it. Whoever had been blabbing was in for a lot of trouble. And if Mao or someone else had been spying on them, the second division would happy to take care of such problems.
"Mao, how do you know about Aizen? Don't give me some gossip or book bullshit, shinigami do not welcome outsiders into our problems." Yeah, there was a tight, sharp tone to her voice. Close to many of them... None of them would talk freely about Aizen, Ichimaru, or Tousen. And if he had been on Gaia for long enough to forget about his origins, then how would he have heard about recent events from other angels? It didn't add up.
She hadn't been close to any of them, and she had still been deeply affected by their betrayal. Ree had admired Aizen and Tousen, and yes, she'd always thought her captain was a freak, but even his defection had shocked her. The entire division had been deeply rattled. She remembered the way Kira used to look. The way their third seat had gone slightly crazy, and tried to drive them all to perfection, his own bizarre way of coping. And Ree? Ree had stolen a gigai and left for the real world. She'd gotten away with it through Hitsugaya and Kuchiki-taichou's intervention. And if she hadn't gotten mixed up in Hitsugaya's problems then, she wouldn't have had that help.

- Shinigami Ree - She wasn't finished with the questions. Some ancient book would not have information on Aizen, and she knew they hadn't even discussed Aizen much with Kurosaki's gang. And those kids would get more information than some outsider. Something wasn't adding up. There was an information leak somewhere, and Ree intended to find it. Ree had stolen a gigai and left for the real world. She'd gotten away with it through Hitsugaya and Kuchiki-taichou's intervention. And if she hadn't gotten mixed up in Hitsugaya's problems then, she wouldn't have had that help. "It was of the Arch angels that I got this information. They have direct contact to God and God could very easily find this information without your knowledge. He can just look at the events that simply happened on Earth and find out from that, and I may have lost my memory at one point, but it was restored to an extent so that should explain part of it to you. That's the truth and you could test that knowledge out of me however you may like, I will hold steadfast..." He said so with a more serious expression on his face. But he lightened up a bit more and took another sip of his tea. "But that is all I know on this topic, my connections are limited in Heaven, so that's all I know. Heaven keeps an eye on the Soul society as does Hell on Hueco Mundo. Since Lucifer made the first hollows and God did the same for the Soul Reapers, so it makes sense like that." He said with a more casual demenor. He was honest in that regard, for he was truthful in word and speech. "But less on this topic, for all we would be doing is spilling information on your part for that's my knowledge's limit on that endpoint. Tell me about yourself, as a person and not as much as a soul reaper." He said with a gentle smile. He was now calmer than before, but he was curious, why so touchy on the subject...
