A child? From a book?
RP 1

Ning was in the shop front, busy sorting out the notebooks by width and height. She was exceptionally pleased to do this sort of thing now that she had fingers to help her hold onto stuff. Her bonded was upstairs, taking a bath.

Elysia walked down the street, watching the leaves fall from the trees. It was a crisp autumn day, and as she walked toward the stationary shop, the bright yellow, red and orange leaves crunched underfoot. She'd been searching everywhere for some appropriate card stock that would be perfect for the party she was going to throw for Kappa's birthday party. Now that he was an adult, she thought it was about time to throw him a party, so she started planning things. Now was the time to find invitations.

She'd already planned what the invitation would say, but she needed some card stock that would be representative of the now human-sized GoGo. Walking up the path, she knew she'd find something perfect at the shop. She'd been in before, and had found some lovely stationary, and she knew they had a good selection.

Pushing the door open, she walked inside and started hunting around for the greenest paper she could find. She didn't notice the Fandangle sorting through notebooks, but if she had, she would have been amazed at the little creature doing its work.

Ning heard the door open and dutifully approached the customer, "Greetings, how may I help you?" She asked, gently tugging at the hem of Elysia's clothes.

Feeling a tug at the bottom of her pant leg, Elysia looked down to see the mechanical creature asking her a question. "Well hello there," she said, trying not to look too shocked. She'd never actually seen a Fandangle, but she'd always heard about them. She found them fascinating. Bending over to get a bit closer to it, she replied with a smile on her face. "Well, I'm looking for some card stock for my son's birthday party. He was made from a piece of sushi, and he loves the color green, so I'm trying to find something...fitting. Would you know of some fun green card stock I can use for his invites?"

"What is 'sushi'?" Ning found herself asking, "Oops, well, you can tell me while we look over here," she instructed and gestured for the woman to follow her. One can only wonder how a Fandangle who's innate animal link is a fish would react to discovering what sushi is.

"Sushi's a food. And...well, I don't eat it, because...I just don't like it all that much. I'm not a huge fan of seafood. But Kappa was made out of seaweed, rice and cucumber. It was the only type of sushi I was willing to eat." She laughed, thinking about the day she took Kappa home in that syrofoam takeout box. She had no idea what she was in for that night. And to look at him now, one would never know he had been a roll of kappa maki.

Elysia followed Ning, curious as to what the amazing mechanical creature could find for her.

"The best stuff are usually in the stockroom, because, I don't know. We haven't gotten around to making a proper inventory check. But you can look at the merchandise we have here while I go look for them," The fandangle offered and pointed to a shelf.

"Great! Thanks for all your help. I do appreciate it." She headed toward the shelf that Ning had pointed to, and began to peruse their selection of card stock, thinking back to the day when she had worked at a party and wedding store. She'd seen plenty of card stock and wedding invitations in her day, and it made her smile to be back in such a place again. There were all sorts of cards, from multi-colored polka dotted borders, to teddy bear prints for baby showers. Unfortunately though, she didn't see too much in the way of bright green, but she continued to look around, impressed with the shop's selection.

Maybe the Fandangle would find something appropriate in the back of the store, she thought to herself, hoping that Ning would come back with something very Kappa-esque.

Elysia would soon be given a new location to search through as the Study door noisily creaked open. With Linneas upstairs taking a bath and the fandangle still a little wary about going near that particular room, It had to draw the woman's attention some way.

Elysia jumped as she heard the creaking of a door behind her. It was one of those ominous noises that one would hear in a haunted house or something, and it gave her a tingling feeling up her spine. Turning to look at what had made the noise, she saw that a door to a very dark room had opened.

Usually Elysia would stay away from a place like that, but this time, she felt something pulling her toward the doorway. Curiosity took over, and she walked swiftly to the door, poking her head through the gap between the door and the frame. The room was dark, and she couldn't really make out any of the details of the room.

Feeling the pull again, she slowly put one foot through the door, then another, cautiously moving inside the Study. Her eyes eventually adjusted to the dim light, and she noticed that it was just an old, seemingly unused room.

The pull would grow stronger the closer Elysia got to the Study, and it doesn't stop until she is completely inside. The room is a stark contrast to the shop, dark, and dusty and the air smelled stale. The door closed swiftly, trapping her within the confines of the room.

It was the Tome's turn to draw her attention as it flipped open with words printed upon the delicate pages.

"Why does my head ache?"

Hearing the door close quickly behind her, Elysia turned to tug on the handles. Curiosity killed the cat, they say, and Elysia couldn't help but think she was doomed. Why would a room lock her in?! She banged on the door a bit, hoping someone would hear her, but to no avail. The door didn't open, and no one came to save her from the mysterious room.

She sighed and turned back toward the room, glancing around. A sneeze escaped her mouth. She was allergic to dust, and this place seemed especially dust-covered. It was then that she noticed a large book, sitting atop a small writing table. The book hadn't been open when she first entered the room, but now it was, it's parchment a bit yellowed with age.

She walked over to it, feeling an intense pull on her body. Even if she hadn't wanted to look at the book, the eerie presence in the room would have made her.

She read the single line that was printed upon the right-hand page of the book, and suddenly, a shooting pain went through her head, from temple to temple. She winced from the awful aching, and as suddenly as it had come, the headache faded away. Elysia had been getting these headaches for a few months now, and had found no doctor to tell her what was wrong with her. Reading the Tome had sparked something in her mind, and suddenly, she knew where the pains had been coming from. This was the reason. Somehow they were connected to this book...It was like the Tome could read her mind...

She picked up a pen that had been lying next to the book, and in a shaky hand, began to answer the book's question. It was what she had hoped for. At least she didn't have a strange medical condition, she thought to herself as the pen touched the parchment.

It's all in your mind...Just a figment of your imagination.

As soon as the pen is lifted from the Tome, the pages began to rustle together, back and forth, back and forth. The light began to flicker on and off, on and off, almost akin to a strobe light. There was a great sense of weightlessness in the room as everything began to float in mid-air. The random bits and bobs found within the Study started to swirl around Elysia. And in the blink of an eye, gravity returned and everything fell down. Nothing seemed to be broken but the silence as a soft giggle suddenly sounded. On the writing table was a little girl holding a Tome the same hue as the gem on her forehead.

Elysia's mouth dropped as objects from the room started swirling around her, suspended weightlessly in midair. The flashing lights caused Elysia to close her eyes, as the brightness of the flashes bothered her. When the Study became calm once again, she opened her eyes to see something amazing sitting before her. A small girl with dark brown hair and an iridescent forehead gem sat before her on the writing desk where the Tome had once sat. She was clutching a thick book, it's cover the same changing shades of pastel color.

She walked over to the little girl, picking her up from the table. "Hello..." she said, looking rather shocked. Of course, this wasn't the first time she'd had something like this happen to her. Gaia certainly was a strange place..."What's your name? I'm Elysia..." her voice trailed off as she waited for the little girl to speak.

The small girl wriggled a bit in Elysia's arms, wanting to be put down. She could walk by herself of course! "I'm Rhea. Good to meet you Elysia. Are you my mother?" She paused, waiting for an answer. But before she could get it, she had to chime in. "Could you kindly put me down? I can walk."

Elysia giggled, and set the little girl down, and in fact, she was perfectly capable of walking by herself. "Well Rhea, I guess you could call me your mother...Seems like I'll be taking care of you anyway. If you want, and feel more comfortable with it, you can just call me Sizzla. It's my nickname after all..." Her voice trailed off as she hoped the new addition to her family would like her. She seemed awfully independent already, and Elysia was feelinga bit unneeded. Well, maybe she could at least give her a little guidance, and a loving home.

Rhea looked up at her new guardian and smiled. "Thanks. I like Sizzla. I think that's what I'll call you." She reached up and grabbed Elysia's hand, the Tome under her other arm. "I don't like this place. It's smelly." She walked toward the door, pulling Elysia along behind her, ready to get out of the musty Study.

Ning returned from the stockroom, carrying an armload of stuff. She wasn't sure what color was best, so she brought the sample book and as many colors as possible. The fandangle could barely see above the tall pile she held in her mechanical arms that she didn't even notice Elysia had come out of the Study.

"Here you are."

Being pulled out of the Study, Elysia practially ran into the helpful Fandangle as Rhea drug her along. She saw that Ning had done an exceptional job trying to find the perfect card stock for Kappa's invitations, and had to stop to help the little creature out. After all, it's arms were full of stuff. Releasing her grip from Rhea's hand, she picked up the first few books of options from Ning's hands. "Thank you very much! You've been so helpful." As an afterthought, she added, "What is that Study all about? I went in there, and look what I came out with!"

She pointed to Rhea, who now had her arms crossed over her chest indignantly. She was ready to go, obviously.

Rhea had been in the shop far too long already, and she was rip roaring and ready to go. She was dying to see what life was like outside of the Study, and was anxious for her new guardian to follow her. After all, she was as curious, if not more so, than Elysia was. Finally noticing Ning, Rhea's eyes widened in disbelief. What was this amazing creature!? Before Ning could react, Rhea was asking it question after question, curious about all of it's features.

"Who built you?"
"How can you talk so well?"
"Are you sentient?"

And she kept going, until she was all questioned-out.

Ning's first reaction to the questions was to panic. Only several clicks and odd beeping sounds emerged from the fandangle until she managed to calm down.

"The Study is unique, it functions independently from everything and everyone else in this building," Ning began, "It pulls people in and they emerge with someone new who they will then be responsible for."

It was the best explanation she had, since that was all the data Linneas would give her. She turned her head to Rhea and answered:
"Wonderful man called Moorgahaine."
"Language program Linny installed in me."
"If by sentient you mean my 'artificial intelligence' is capable of simulating a human's then yes."

Elysia's eyes grew wide as she heard Ning making strange noises. She couldn't help but think that Rhea had overloaded it's processor, and she was a bit afraid that Rhea would break the complicated mechanical wonder.

"Aaah, so that's how it works...Well, I guess you are all my responsibility now then," she said to Rhea, smiling. "I think we'll have a good time together, don't you?"

Rhea was much more concerned with Ning than she was with Elysia, and she practically ignored her new mother as she listened to Ning answer her questions. "Moo-r-gah-aine? He sounds like an interesting person. He must be pretty smart to create something as wonderful as you. Do you have a name?" She got closer to the Fandangle, practically inspecting the thing as she did so. Obviously she had an interest in all things mechanical, though the reality was that Rhea was interested in just about everything.

Ning felt a little uncomfortable under Rhea's gaze and prayed that her bonded would finish his bath soon.

No such luck.

Linneas was enjoying his long soak in the tub and had no intentions of stopping anytime soon.

"I'm labeled as Ning by my bonded Linny," Ning answered. "Yes, Moorgahaine is a wonderful person."

Elysia plopped herself down onto the floor and began to flip through the books of card stock, looking for something that would be perfect for Kappa's party. She knew that Rhea was keeping herself entertained for the time being, so this would be time to start searching. Not only was the Fandangle helpful, but it was also good company for her curious new daughter. Elysia couldn't help but be amazed that the toddler was speaking in full, intelligent sentences, along with walking steadily all by herslef. No other toddler she'd cared for could do those things.

Rhea began to feel that the Fandangle was uncomfortable with her asking so many questions, and the jewel on her forehead began to give off a light glow. The creature's feelings began to sink into Rhea, and she realized what was happening. Instead of asking more questions, she backed off, not trying to make the creature feel unnerved. "Nice to meet you Ning. You're very interesting. Do you think we could talk again some time?"

If Ning's mechanical eyes could blink, now would be the best time for them to do so. She was relieved that Rhea had lessened her probing and since the girl asked, the fandangle saw no reason to decline.

"Of course, everyone is welcome here, so feel free to come see me anytime."

Finally flipping to one of the last pages in the book, Elysia found something perfect. The paper was white, with a geometric border consisting of squares of varying sizes in different shades of green. "Aah, look what I found! Ning, do you think you have this card stock in the back? I'd need at least 20 cards..." Turning her head, she saw that Rhea was no longer giving the Fandangle the third degree, and was pleased to see the two talking normally.

"I will come back and see you Ning. I want to know more about you. Thanks." Rhea nodded at the Fandangle, and walked over to where Elysia was sitting on the ground, pointing to the green and white invitations. "Who are those for? What are they for? Are you ready to go yet?" Oh, the questions! Rhea certainly seemed to have endless curiosity, that was for sure.

"This is card stock for invitations I'm making for your brother Kappa's birthday party. We'll go here in a minute. Just let me buy this stuff, okay?"

"Okay, okay. But hurry! I want to go outside!" Her voice was more whiny than demanding, and Elysia was okay with that, for now.

The fandangle nodded to Rhea then Elysia and scooted over to the backroom. Minutes later she returned with a pack of thirty of the requested card stock and a slip of paper as a receipt.

"Come again soon."

Elysia took the cards from Ning, and handed over a wad of cash that was the exact amount listed on the receipt. "Thanks for your help! I do appreciate you going to the back and hunting things down for me. We will be back soon enough, I'm sure." She smiled at the Fandangle, and before she could say anything to Rhea, the little girl had grabbed her hand, and was pulling her toward the door. "Well, I guess we're leaving now," she chuckled and waved at Ning.

"Bye Ning!" Rhea shouted, pulling Elysia along once again. "See you soon!" She flashed a large grin and bumped up against the door, trying to push it open with all her might, to no avail.

Elysia pushed the door open once Rhea backed off, trying to stifle a giggle at the child's enthusiasm. She certainly was ready for anything, she thought. Then, without a second thought, she was pulled out onto the sidewalk and down the street, following behind her new daughter, watching as her wavy brown locks bounced up and down as she walked.

Homecoming...
Diary/Narrative 1

Rhea gripped Elysia's hand tightly as the two walked down the street. Even though Rhea was pulling on Elysia's arm, eventually Elysia had to lead Rhea home. Of course the little girl didn't know where she was going, but she was fascinated with everything she saw as she walked, and practically ran off with Elysia in tow every time something struck her eye.

"Look!" she'd shout, tugging on Elysia's arm. "What is that?" And then ten seconds later, "What's this? Do you know how this works? Why is this?" Her questions were ongoing, as if she couldn't stop. This little girl was certainly filled with curiosity--more than Elysia ever had.

Or maybe it was just because everything was so new to her...Life certainly would be interesting if you were just born, and you had to discover everything all over again.

"Come on Rhea, we're almost there," Elysia said, finally taking the lead. "When we get home, I'll show you my library, and you can learn about all the things you've asked about. I know my answers haven't been the best, so maybe the books will help give you more details. I'm not really the best person to ask about some things." She paused as they came up in front of the walkway to the beachhouse.

"We're here. This is Gambino Beach, and we live in a house close to the water. We'll teach you how to swim, and then you can explore the beach all you want. But until then, please ask me to go with you when you want to go down to the water..." She walked up the pathway, with Rhea in tow, and after winding through a tropical forest of sorts, they came upon the whitewashed house. Though the house looked tattered from the outside, the inside was homey and comfortable. Elysia prided herself in having a welcoming house, and as much as the weather wanted to beat down there door, there was nothing but calm sanctuary inside.

Rhea looked up at the house, in awe of its location. It was hidden by the forest, and behind the house lay the beach, and then, the vast, slate blue ocean. Her mouth opened in a wide "O" as she stood there, taking it all in. "Can we go inside?" she asked, already walking up to the front steps. "I want to see what it's like!"

"Of course we can go inside. Here, follow me. I'll show you your room." Opening the front door, she let Rhea go in first. "This is the living room," she said, pointing to a cozy room on the right, filled with overstuffed couches and a wood-burning fireplace. "And this...this is the kitchen," she said, as they walked down the hall and into the kitchen. "If you're ever hungry, just help yourself to anything you can find down here."

Walking to the next room on the left, there was a dining room, and then, the library. "I'll bet you'll want to spend a lot of time here," Elysia said, smiling. "Seems like the perfect place for you." The bookcases were as tall as the ceiling, with rolling ladders to reach the topmost books. There was a whitewashed desk in the room, as well as two matching overstuffed velvet chairs. It was the perfect place to sit down and read, and Elysia liked being in the library quite a bit. It was her place to get away from it all. "The Furies aren't allowed in here, so if they try to convince you to let them in, be sure to say no. They'll only cause trouble and mess with my books, and we don't want that."

Nodding furiously, Rhea piped up. "Of course! I wouldn't want them to mess up the books either. I love books!" Her eyes squinted as she tried to read some of the titles. She noticed that Elysia had quite the collection, with subjects ranging from Fey lore to magic to an entire set of encyclopedias. "I want to spend a lot of time in here," she said, a smile on her face. "I like it in here."

"Good! I thought you'd like it. You can spend as much time here as you'd like...well, as long as you come out occasionally." She ruffled Rhea's hair, knowing that the girl would probably take up residence in the musty, book-filled room.

"Well, let's show you your room. You're probably tired, aren't you?" Heading up the staircase, they came to the landing and turned right, down another hallway. "Your room is the first door on the right. Mine is right across from yours, so if you need anything, I'm right here, okay sweetie?"

Rhea's small hand turned the knob, and she pushed the door open, seeing her room for the first time. "Wow! It's so pretty!" she exclaimed, running into the room to see all of the features. She bounced a bit on the wooden sleigh bed, and then stood up again to go throw the large bay windows open. There were two in her room, one facing the forest, and the other facing the ocean. The walls were a dark purple color, with blue accents, and a desk sat on the far side of the room, under the window with the forest. There was also a wooden dresser and a closet, all ready for any unexpected guests.

"Well, this used to be my guest room...I wasn't expecting to bring someone new home today. Just let me know if you want to change anything. We'll have to go out tomorrow and get you some clothes and other things, so if you think of anything, just tell me. We'll go out tomorrow and I can show you around Gambino some more." She smiled and went over to the bed, folding back the covers. "Wanna take a nap before dinner? I'd imagine you're tired."

For the first time since her arrival in the Stationary Shop, Rhea realized that she was, in fact, quite weary. "Yeah, sleep would be good. At least for a little while..." She trod over to the bed, and jumped on top of it, sinking down into the featherbed below her. "This bed is great. I really like it. I like this place a lot..." she said, and then opened her mouth wide for a yawn. "I'm sleepy..." Her voice trailed off as her eyes fluttered shut, and in mere seconds, the little girl was asleep.

"Sleep well darling," Elysia said, bending down to give the little girl a kiss on the cheek. It was funny how a new kid in your life can make you motherly all over again. "I'll get you up for dinner." With that, she turned, and walked out of the room, pulling the door closed behind her as it latched with a slight click. "I wonder what kind of adventures you'll be bringing me," she thought as she headed back downstairs to start dinner and tell the other kids about the new addition to the family.

Diary/Narrative 2

Elysia's Journal

11.07.05

How is it that I bring home all kinds of random children with me? Today was one of the most strange instances I've ever come across while I've been here, and wow, what did I get out of it? That's right, a new child. She popped right out of a huge old book, and I think I stared at her a bit too long after everything that was floating in the air dropped to the floor. She was holding a book under her arm, and the title was: "Rhea". Guess who the author was? That's right, my name was engraved on the cover along with Rhea's. So am I her author? Did I write her story? Right now, I'm pretty confused about the whole situation, but maybe if I go back to the shop, someone will be able to explain it to me...For now, I'll just tend to her as if she were my own.

Rhea is a beautiful, intelligent child, and I love having her around already. She'll be a perfect companion, and since she's quite knowledgeable already, it feels like I'm talking to an adult. This child has more questions than I could ever think up! But the hard part is knowing the answers to all of her questions.

Instead, I've shown her the library, and I'm letting her have free roam of the place. I know she'll love it, and she'll come out every day with a bunch of new facts in her brain. Hopefully it'll be enough so that she won't bombard everyone she meets with questions.

Well, I need to get going. It's time to make dinner for the kids, and tell them about their new sibling. It's probably good that most of them are off doing their own thing these days...I don't know how they'd adjust to yet another sister. For now though, things are good. I'll get back to you later with more details.

Adios,
Elysia

a meeting of kindred spirits.
Diary/Narrative 3
((Cross-posted from Labradorite's Shadow Fiends Journal.))

Labbie floated above the doorway, flitting about anxiously. The wisp had been darting around the house for hours, anxiously anticipating Elysia's return. She knew what was going on, and waited for the girl who was to be her student. No one knew of this yet though, no one but the wisp of course...

Labbie had heard Elysia talking about the wisps, and the souls that they contain. She wasn't so much as interested in the subject as to Elysia's reaction to the truth. The wisp was conscious of its past life, and had known of the grand plan all along. It was interesting that instead of bonding to the little girl, the wisp had instead taken a liking to Elysia. Though it hadn't been planned that way, it would be okay. There was enough opportunity to help the little newcomer regardless of who Labbie was bonded to.

The wisp heard footfalls outside the door, and stood by to greet the little psion. Key entered lock, and the bolts inside gave way. Swinging open, the door creaked, and standing in the doorway was the silver-haired fae and a little girl, standing about the height of Elysia's knee. Elysia hadn't allowed Labbie to meet Rhea when she first came to the house. She didn't want to shock the little girl too soon. Labbie had graciously accepted this change of plans, and Elysia had agreed that after their next outing, the pair could meet.

"We're home!" Elysia exclaimed, walking through into the entryway. Typically, children and Furies of all kinds would come to greet them, but today, a solitary blue gem was hovering there, waiting for them. It was Labradorite. "Hi Labbie...I know I promised, so here you are. Rhea, this is Labradorite. You can call it Labbie. This gem is a Shadow Fiend, a wisp. Inside that gem is a soul waiting to be released. She has taken quite an interest in you...and in some of the powers that you have." Elysia stepped aside to allow the two a more proper greeting, and she headed back to the kitchen to start getting dinner ready.

Rhea regarded the wisp carefully, examining it from every angle. She could feel the elated emotions that the wisp was giving off, as if it had been anticipating her arrival for weeks. In her head, she projected a voice to the wisp...Hello there...It's nice to meet you Labradorite. I'm Rhea Medea. And I see you are sentient after all. Have you been waiting long? The little girl's gaze softened as she regarded the bobbing wisp.

The wisp bobbed up and down more quickly, as if she was nodding to answer Rhea's question. She had been waiting...for months it seemed. The wisp moved toward Rhea, circling her head, not wanting to make the girl uneasy, but wanting to see her more closely. It took extra care bobbing behind Rhea, looking at the swirled markings on the girl's back. The wisp knew what they were, but Rhea would have to discover their uses herself. Soon enough, it thought. Soon enough she would realize her powers.

Without hesitation, the wisp circled Rhea's head, and flew to her forehead, wisps grabbing at her hair. The gem attached to Rhea's forehead, and almost immediately, the little girl plopped down on the floor and the darkness crept in slowly to reveal a strange sight. This time, it was Rhea's turn...

Headaches.
Diary/Narrative 4

The world spun around her, in strange, otherworldly colors. She was standing on the edge of a cliff, looking out over the barren land that seemed to have not gotten moisture in years. Everything looked so strange...and yet, so familiar. What was most disturbing though, was the colors of this place. The sky was a dark purple, with green fluffly clouds, and the sun shone bright blue. Every time she turned, the dark purple would swirl with other colors, and it seemed that the sky was ruled by chaos---constantly changing and fluctuating with each moment.

Looking down, the little psion recognized her own feet, though they were much larger than she was used to. Brown sandals were strapped onto them, and her legs were darkly tanned. She had short toga-like dress on, with a hooded cloak over it, and strapped to her waist was a heavy leather belt which held a scabbard, and within it, a large sword. Gripping the sword's handle, Rhea pulled it from it's scabbard, surprised at it's large size. The claymore was a little over half of her own height, but it's blade was light and narrow. The handle had inlaid gems in it, and the blade shone brightly with a strange violet light. Upon further examination, she saw that there were small swirled markings engraved into the blade that were very similar to those on her own back and arms.

Lost in thought, she didn't notice the cloaked figure coming toward her. It was only until the last second before the person's arrival that she looked up and gasped, knowing those bright green eyes. A prickle ran up and down her spine as she looked into the depths of those endless emerald pools. It gave her the chills, but she couidn't pull her eyes away. She was transfixed by this man.

"Hello Rhea," he said simply, one hand reaching out to grab her open hand. "I am here for you. Just return to me when you are ready," he said smiliing, before kissing her lightly on the forehead and vanishing into thin air.

The little girl stirred in her bed, the sheets fully removed from their proper positions. She was sweating, and making strange noises, as if she were trying to talk to someone. Finally, her eyelids flickered open, and she winced at the bright light that caused lightning bolts of pain to shoot through her head. Closing her eyes again as soon as she could, she rolled over onto her side, moaning. The pain refused to subside as she curled into a fetal position, both hands clutching her head, trying to block out as much light as possible. This was the second time Rhea had had a headache like this since being born from the Tome. The first time, she hadn't known what it was, or what was causing it, but she soon disovered that it had to do with the dream...the strange reoccurring dream. Was it the man with the green eyes? Or was it the dream itself that caused these strange headaches?

Falling back asleep in an attempt to rid herself of the shooting pains in her head, Rhea's mind was blank. She dreamt of nothing this time, only blackness and void.

((Direct link until it hatches. 3nodding ))

Angelus walked around port looking for the white house Rhea described to him when the met at the Halloween event. He looked at the small piece of paper in his hands and then looked back up. He followed the directions to get to her house.

He held the basket close to his chest as he walked up the sidewalk to her house. It didn't seem like any one was home. Placing the basket in front of the door, he tucked the egg deeper into the folds of the blanket.

The red shell contrasted with the green ribbon it was wrapped up in. He looked to the house once more. He hoped she liked it. Even though he met her only once, he really liked her. She was nice and bubbly, a complete contrast to Angelus, but he intrigued him none the less. Usually, he couldn't tolerate the bubbly, but he did with her. He didn't know much about girls seeing as Aido is the only female Tale he knows. He tucked a letter next to the egg in plain sight and walked off to continue his Christmas deliveries. He had to do his deliveries quick before Silent knew he was so far away from home for so long.

The letter read:

Dear Rhea,

Even though I met you once you seemed like a really nice person. Thank you. I can't wait to go swimming soon! I'll just need a lifejacket for my first time. xd You know, if you ever need me more feathers, I'll happily give you some more. Well, I just wanted to say thank you for being so nice. I hope we can become better friends as we get to know eachother better. Be safe and have a Merry Christmas.

Sincerely,
Angelus

P.S. Merry Christmas to you too Rhea's Mom!

A Christmas Gift
Diary/Narrative 5

There was a knock on the door, and Elysia went to answer it, pulling her sweater tighter around herself to keep back any cold air that might threaten to chill her. She wasn’t used to winter—most of the time, Gambino was a sunny, warm place. But at this time of year, even the most tropical island paradise saw an occasional frosty blast of air.

It was wintertime after all, and Christmas was mere days away. The Marvel family had been preparing for the event for days. There were all kinds of decorations adorning the place, and Sizzla had been using Rhea for help in the kitchen. Now, the little girl could now bake chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies and make frosting. She wasn’t quite a whiz in the kitchen yet, but she managed to get by.

Elysia opened the door to the smiling face of a—well, nothing. There was no one there, save a lone bird, pecking at the ground in hopes that it might find something to eat. She looked down, seeing something out of the bottom of her eye. It was a package, wrapped up tightly in paper. It had Rhea’s name on it, and it looked much like a Christmas gift.

“Rhea!” Elysia shouted, raising her voice just enough so that Rhea could hear her. “Come down here! A package had arrived for you!” She set the box down on the table, and sure enough, in a matter of seconds, she could hear Rhea’s tromping feet down the staircase.

“What is it?” she asked, moving toward the package on the table and then picking it up and shaking it lightly.

“I dunno. You’ve gotta open it to find out, I guess.” She gave the toddler a wink and nudged her to open it up. Rhea followed the instruction, ripping the paper off of the outside of the box to reveal a plain white box. As she opened the main box, she looked down inside to discover a large, oval shaped –thing- nestled in egg crate foam.

“What’s this?” she asked Elysia, pulling the egg from the padded box. Rhea tilted her head at it questioningly.

“Looks like an egg to me,” Elysia suggested, holding her hand out so that she could get a better look at it. “There’s a card in there. Who’s it from?”

Rhea reached down into the box and pulled out the card.
”To: Rhea
From: Angelus"

“It’s from Angelus,” she said, face blushing ever so slightly. She scooped up the egg from her mother’s hand and cradled it in her own hands once again. “I’ll have to keep it warm though,” she said matter-of-factly. “I want it to hatch.”

“Take good care of it, and you can show the baby to Angelus the next time he comes over.”

Rhea just nodded and smiled, and took the egg back to her room so that she could find a better place to care for the fragile egg and the creature that was growing inside it.

It's always summer in Gambino: Angelus and Rhea
RP 4

"Mom, is Angelus coming over today?" Rhea asked, looking expectantly at Sizzla. She had heard her talking to Silent just the other day, and she knew today would be the day. Rhea hadn't seen Angelus since Halloween, and she was happy to be seeing him again. He had made quite a first impression upon the Tale...

"Yeah, I invited him and Silent over to go swimming," Sizzla said, patting Rhea on the head. "They should actually be here any minute. Why don't you get your swimsuit on, and come out here when you're ready. " With that, she turned back toward her computer, and finished her email, shutting the computer off as she was finished. It would be any time now, she thought to herself.

Silent and Angelus walked down the path that led to Rhea and Sizzla's house. Angelus was wearing his regular clothes, but Silent brought his swimming items with her. A backpack of sorts was slung over Silents right shoulder. She was also wearing just everyday clothes, but her bathing suit was also in the bag as well. Silent looked down at the note in her hand, saying the directions in her head. "White house. Gambino port. It shouldn't be too hard to find, right?" she looked to the winged boy that walked along her side.

Angelus was caught up in the beauty of the ocean to really hear what Silent was saying. He just nodded numbly. The light reflected from the water like glass and the sand beneath his feet cushioned every step. It was a glorious setting, but his fear was still there. He wasn't a good swimmer. Not really. He could swim in a bathtub, but that was about three to five feet around. Looking ahead, he noticed the familiar house. It was the same house that he delivered Rhea's christmas present too. He hoped she liked it. Wringing his hands together in nervousness, both mother and son neared the welcoming home.

Rhea struggled into the suit that her adopted mother had bought for her...Standing back and glancing at her reflection in the full-length mirror, her face turned bright red as she saw the horrid sight. It had sparkles...which she didn't mind all that much. But then, there was a RUFFLE. And it wasn't just any ruffle. It was a ruffle SKIRT. Oh yes, Sizzla had excellent taste in swimming suits. The perfect thing to embarrass the little psion with.

Rhea tugged at the skirt, pulling it away from her body. Looking at it angrily, she stalked over to her desk, and pulled out the pair of scissors that was in the top drawer. Pulling the suit off, she went to work, detaching the skirt from the suit. There was no way she was going to be caught dead in that. Putting the suit back on after some minor modifications, she was pleased with her handiwork. Now it was more funky than an ugly Barbie doll!

"Rhea, aren't you done changing yet?!" Sizzla yelled from the front room. "They're going to be here any time now." She walked to the front door and pulled it open, hoping it'd look friendly enough. She knew that Silent and Angelus had been there before, so she hoped they'd remember.

Silent noticed the door open from the white house. Being a vampire, it was hard to get used to being in the sun, but thankfully, through a little handiwork from the elders, designed her a ring that would let her enjoy the sun with her family and friends. Her paces started to quicken and Angelus wasn't too far behind. Instead, he started to fly in order to keep up with Silent.

Within a few moments, Silent and Angelus finally made it to the front porch. Wiping their shoes, they slowly stepped into the home. Taking a deep breath, Silent could smell a flowery aroma. Mmm. The house definately had a home-y feeling to it. With a smirk on her features Silent called out. "Lucy! I'm home!" she chuckled at the joke.

Angelus merely looked up at his mother with a cocked eyebrow. Weird. Shaking his head, he took in the home around him. Smelling the air, he caught both mother and daughters scent. Rhea wasn't too far.

"Rhea! There here!" Sizzla shouted down the hallway. "Come on out!" Walking quickly to the front door, she opened it and reached a hand out. "Oh Dezi, you're home!" she said in her most I Love Lucy voice. Laughing, she pushed the door open to let them inside. "Come on in! Good to see you again. I know Rhea's been excited to see Angelus for awhile now."

Rhea pulled on a pair of shorts, and a peasant top that Sizzla had bought for her. She pulled her hair up into a ponytail, letting only the braid and the onyx feather fall down her back. Slipping on a pair of flip flops, she opened the door to her room and flopped down the hallway, hands in her pockets. "Hi!" she said, greeting them. "I'm glad you could come over. Swimming's gonna be fun. How've you been Angelus?"

"Oh, Lucy." Silent wagged a finger at Sizzla. Her face lit up with a smile as she was greeted by the woman. Watching the door close behind her, Silent took off her shoes, making sure that she wouldn't track sand all over the home. That would be a bit rude, she thought. "Sizzla! It's great to see you again! I'm sure Angelus is just as excited to see Rhea as well." Silent looked around the house once more. "You have a beautiful home, I must say." she commented. "And it smells good too." She couldn't help but stress that point. Thankful that her vampiric senses didn't have to smell a musty home.

Angelus bowed at Sizzla. "Hello Rhea's mom. It's nice to see you again. How are you and Rhea?" he asked with utmost respect. His fingers fidgeted with one another behind his back though. And his wings would shuffle a bit in anxiousness as well.

While he waited for a response, he could smell Rhea coming down the hallway. He could smell her before he even saw her. Biting his lower lip, he shyly smiled at the girl and his wings started to ruffle a bit more. Was his face on fire? It felt hot. It was most likely due to his blushing. Taking his hands from their position behind his back, he let them fall to his sides. Wow. Rhea had her hair in a pony tail that showed off her face a bit more. He bit his bottom lip again.

"Rhea!" He took a step forward and stopped. "I heard we were going swimming." He leaned in a bit closer to whisper to the girl. "You're gonna teach me though, right?" he asked. He wasn't the best swimmer by any means. He gave her a shy smile. "It's good to see you again." Chocolate brown eyes looked at the girls. He quickly looked away in embarassment.

Silent smiled at the interaction. "So, what's on the agenda?" she asked to Sizzla and Rhea.

"Good to see you too!" Sizzla said, giving Silent a quick hug. She was never sure how people reacted to her welcoming hugs. She hoped Silent was okay with it...it was always something she worried about. She didn't want to seem overly touchy feely.

"Thanks. I think I've made it pretty pleasant around here. I love being by the ocean. Everything seems more clean and fresh somehow. It's even better when the breezes come through, and we can open up all of the windows and let the house air out." She motioned for the pair to follow her, heading into the living room. Before plopping down on one of the overstuffed couches herself, she had to be a good hostess.

"Have a seat guys. Do you want something to drink? The bathroom is down the hallway if you need to change or anything. I'll go grab some sodas and a few bottles of water, and we'll head down to the beach." Heading for the kitchen, she called back over her shoulder. "Rhea, entertain them!"

And then, more Sizzla from the kitchen, ((Because I forgot to address Angelus...Eeep!)) "We're both doing quite well I think. Thanks for asking Angelus! I'll bet Rhea could tell you all about our latest adventures..." She let it go at that...Rhea would do well enough on her own, she figured. The little girl was good about making conversation.

Rhea immediately noticed Angleus' blushing, and her own face quickly reddened as their eyes met. Feeling the whisper in her ear, she shivered. She wasn't used to that sort of thing. She smiled, and her mouth came to his ear this time. "Of course I'll teach you. No need to be afraid! You'll do great," she whispered back. She stepped back and smiled, grabbing the little boy's hand and squeezing. "Good to see you too! It's been awhile. I wanted to thank you for my Christmas present. The duckie is very cute. He lives out back! We could go see him if you want." Pausing to answer Silent, her eyes lit up when she announced the day's events. "Swimming and the beach of course!"

Silent embraced the hug. It was not common for her to engage with other females. Silent was used to being around males. But it was nice to have a few women friends. It definately made things worth while."I can smell the fresh water from here. It smells like... Heaven." That was the only word she could think of at that moment. It was absolutely delightful to her senses. Walking to the living room, Silent sat upon an empty love seat. "A drink? Hmm... Do you have lemonade?" It's seemed like a respectable drink for the occasion. Her eyes traveled down the hallway to the bathroom. That was where she would change. "Do you need any help Sizzla?" she called to the woman in the kitchen.

Angelus listened to Sizzla's distant voice. "Adventures?" he said in curiosity. He loved adventures!

Angelus bit his bottom lip to keep him from grinning like an idiot. "You think so?" He hoped he wouldn't do too bad. Embarassing himself was not on his agenda today. Angelus let Rhea direct him into the living room. "Out in back? At least he has a good home. Sure, let's go see how big he's gotten." He nodded. Squeezing her hand, he replied. "Thank you for the present. I keep him in my room. Mom has so many pets that she doesn't know what to do with all of them." He chuckled at the memory.

Silent listened to Rhea's list. "Ah yes! Swimming! Let's hope the water is nice." She smiled at the boy and girl. Awww! She couldn't help but squeal inside. It was too adorable!

"No, I took care of things, no problem," Sizzla said, returning from the kitchen, a small cooler in her hand, a bag slung over the other one. "It does smell like Heaven, doesn't it? I used to live in Durem, but I think this was an excellent change of pace for me. The city life really got me down after awhile." She opened the cooler and pulled out a thermos, handing it to Silent. "Looks like we had just what you needed," she said, smiling. The lemonade inside was created mostly by the Furies, who needed the sugar rush to keep their energetic selves going. "Just beware...it may be a bit on the sweet side. The kids like it sugary of course. Keeps 'em hyper!"

She motioned toward the bathroom. "It's all yours, if you want to get changed. I figure, the sooner we get to the beach, the better. You never know if it'll be crowded or not, and we've got to get a good spot on the sand."

"I think you'll be able to swim like a fish in no time. We won't go out very far for awhile. You have to get comfortable with the ocean and the waves first. It can be very dangerous if you're not careful. But I'll definitely save you if you have any trouble."

Realizing she was rambling, Rhea stopped quickly, blushing again. "You're welcome. I'm glad you like him...I hoped you would." She looked down to avoid his eyes...they were a bit too much for her at this point. It was good to see him smiling though. With her other hand, she pulled the braid in front of her shoulder, playing with the feather at the end absentmindedly. "Well, we'll go see Roger--that's what I named him--on the way out to the beach. He's really big now! Almost all grown really. He grew so fast."

Sizzla couldn't help but giggle as she saw the two Tales blushing at each other...It was far too adorable not to giggle just a little bit. She hadn't seen something like this since Kappa met Ici.

Silent just laid back and relaxed. It was new to not have to plan or do anything for others. It was nice to be doted on now and then. But she definately wouldn't make a habit out of it. Silent gratefully accepted the sugar liquid. "A bit sweet? You're going to kill my vampire tastebuds, aren't you?" she joked with the woman.

Silent shivered at the thought of hyper children. "I don't think I could deal with hyper. A sugarfied Angelus and Jiro is a thought I wouldn't want to complete. " Even though the two weren't the best of friends when they met, it started to change when Silent and Angelus lived with Akiya and Zymbu. Ever since the accident, both parents felt it was a good choice that Angelus and Jiro stay together in case of anything. Who knew what exactly what the blood transfussion entailed. Shaking her head of the memory, she looked to the bathroom and smiled.

"I guess I'll go first." Digging into the bag, she took out her own clothes. "Angelus! I'm leaving your stuff in the bag. You can change when I get out of the bathroom." The tale nodded to her reply. Quickly dashing off, she closed the bathroom door behind her. After a few minutes, she emerged in a two piece black string bathing suit and wicker flipflops. Her hair was also put up in a pony tail. She threw her towel over her shoulder and held her folded clothes in her hands. "Ready?" she asked Sizzla knowing that the woman was good and ready. They needed to get a good spot on the beach.

Angelus smiled. "Like a fish? That'll be the day." He laughed, not too sure of his swimming talents. But if Rhea believed in him, why not? But the sound of the waves sort of scared him, even though he wouldn't admit it. "I called the bunny Sherman. I don't know why, but it seemed like a good name at the time." He smiled. Angelus finally noticed the feather in her hair. He blushed. She still kept it? Without any thought, he twirled the feather in his fingers as well as a tendril of hair that framed the girls face. "It looks nice on you." he commented.

Looking to his mom, he nodded. "I'll be right back and then we'll see Roger." Within a few moments, he grabbed the backpack and left to the bathroom. In a few minutes, he emerged in just a pair of black swimming trunks. He walked barefoot back to Rhea. "Ready?" He asked. His feathers ruffled in excitement. Silent shared a secret smile with Sizzla. Too cute.

It's Always Summer in Gambino, Part 2
RP 4 cont.

chekerbob: Sizzla laughed at Silent's disdain of hyper children. She had gotten used to the Furies and their very bubbly personalities quite quickly, and had grown accustomed to their incessant obnoxious behavior. "Nah, not trying to kill those already dead tastebuds! ((She's dead right? A vampire is typically...I just wanted to be sure.))It's just the mixture we have already prepared. If it's too much for you, I'm sure we can water it down or something." She smiled again, and looked around the house. "I'm not sure where all the Furies are actually. Usually they're buzzing around here like maniacs! They must be out causing trouble somewhere..."
chekerbob: "Have at it!" Sizzla said, motioning toward the bathroom. When Silent returned, she gave her a nod. "I'm definitely ready. There should be some beach chairs outside. We'll take those down with us as well. At least they'll keep our backs from being scaled by the hot sand. Come on Rhea, Angelus. Are you two ready?" she asked, making sure they were ready to go, instead of making puppy dog faces at each other...There'd be more than enough time for that when they got to the waterfront.
chekerbob: Rhea shook her head. "Of course, you'll do great! Well, I guess maybe not so much like a fish, but more like a flying fish!" She stroked one of his wings, admiring the black feathers. "Sherman is a good name! I think we have the same kind of naming style at least." She laughed, pleased that he liked his bunny plush. She hadn't been sure if he liked it when she first gave it to him.

Blushing more fervently as he touched her hair, she looked up and gave him a wide grin. "Thanks, I really love it. It's been there since you've given it to me...I hope it doesn't fall out. Ever." She watched him head toward the bathroom, and as he came back out, she was holding her towel. "Yep, I'm ready! Let's go!"

FairytaleLover00: Silent shuddered again at the thought of hyper children. " Hyper children? No way. Insane people? That I can handle. Heck, most of the family is a little of their rocker, but they're more interested in talking to the stars then scarfing down pixie sticks." She chuckled. The psychotic twins, the perfectionist maid, and the five year old mind set woman. Silent could deal with them, but sugarfied children? That was not in her jurisdiction. Silent took a sip of the drink and let out a sigh. "Not too bad. Yes, dead, but the sense of taste is still there. It's really weird how everything works out in a vampire body." she shook her head in disbelief. She'd never fully understand the workings of a vampire. "I'll help you bring the chairs."
FairytaleLover00: Silent watched as Angelus ran to the bathroom and quickly changed. Taking the near empty bag, except for a few a beach items that stood in, she zipped it up and threw it over her shoulder. "Towels and beach stuff? Check. " The two would have enough time to play when they arrive at the beach.

Angelus smiled at the comment. A flying fish? That might work. Angelus watched with curious eyes as his wings stilled at the touch. Not many people touched his wings. Actually, he couldn't remember the last time anyone touched them. It wasn't a bad thing at all though. "They're both good names." He stated about the names.
FairytaleLover00: As everyone pronounced they were ready, he made sure his trunks were tight on his hips. He fidgeted with the towel in his hands. He was ready.

Elizabeth Marvel: "C'mon, let's go," Sizzla said, walking out the back door and outside, heading down the back walkway that led to the shed and then, the waterfront. Once they arrived at the shed, she pulled the doors open and handed two lawn chairs to Silent, and she carried two for her and Rhea. "There, now we've got something to sit on besides towels. I think we're officially prepared." She waited for everyone gather their things, and she headed down the palm tree-lined path to the beach. It was another beautiful day in Gambino, despite it being the middle of winter. For some reason, it never got cold, no matter how much it snowed on the rest of Gaia.
Elizabeth Marvel: "Mom," Rhea said. "I'm just gonna go show Angelus Roger. He hasn't seen him since he was an egg. We'll be right down there, okay?"
Elizabeth Marvel: "Okay, just come down when you're finished. Ready Si?" she asked, looping her arm through Silent's. "Shall we?" Leading her down the path, they arrived at their destination mere seconds later. Sizzla unfolded her reclining lawn chair, and set Rhea's up as well, and then stripped down to her bathing suit. "Time to get a tan!"
Elizabeth Marvel: ((one more post, just to finish setting the scene...I wanted to get some action out of the way))
FairytaleLover00: ((LOL! No problem!))
Elizabeth Marvel: Rhea grabbed Angelus' hand again, and pulled him around to the back of the shed, where she'd made Roger a nice duck house. There was a large, grassy fenced-in area where he could run around as he pleased, and Rhea had dug him a hole and lined it with garbage bags so that he could have a pond to swim in. "What'cha think?" she asked, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Angelus.
Elizabeth Marvel: ((Okay...You can make short posts if you want...hehe. I'll try to keep it down. I just have this tendency to go on and on and on))
FairytaleLover00: ((Don't worry! I know what you mean.))
FairytaleLover00: Silent followed Sizzla down to the back of the house. "Chairs? Check. Children? Check. Beach? Check. I think that's all we need." Giggling like a little school girl, Silent pranced the whole way to the beach. "Hurry up you two? Or else Sizzla and I will have all the fun." She didn't mean it of course, but she wanted to have some fun!
FairytaleLover00: Angelus let Rhea lead him to Roger. He wanted to see how big the duck had grown!
FairytaleLover00: Silent and Sizzla finally made it to the beach. Setting her lawn chair she gave a snort. "A tan? Good lord, do know you know how its been since I've been in the sun? A long time. Thank goodness I have naturally olive skin or else I'd turn into bacon." she joked with the woman. Digging into her bag, she took out some suntan lotion. "Want some?" she offered Sizzla. No need to have cherry looking women at the end of the day.
FairytaleLover00: Angelus followed Rhea to the back of the shed. His eyes looked at his small living area. Looking to Rhea, he smiled in awe."You did all this? Wow. It's nice! I bet he's happy here." He watched Roger with amusement. "I'm jealous!" he joked.
FairytaleLover00: ((It's all yours babycakes!))
Elizabeth Marvel: "Yeah, well I suppose with your blood, it's easier to get burned," Sizzla commented, refering to Silent's vampire lineage. "I think I'd be afraid to go out in the sun! I tan fairly easily, but you know, it never hurts to put on the sunscreen...I wouldn't want to get cancer or anything." She took the bottle from Silent's hand, and squirted a goodly amount into her hands, then slathering it on her arms, neck and face. Then she squeezed out some more, taking care of her legs this time. "If you do my back, I'll do yours..."
Elizabeth Marvel: Rhea smiled, looking more proud with every moment. "Yeah, he's got it good, doesn't he? I know one day he'll get too big to just live in here...Then, he can run around all of the grounds if he wants too. I'm just afraid he'll try to go swimming in the ocean. I'm not sure ducks would like salt water!"
Elizabeth Marvel: "Well, do you wanna go swimming? I just really wanted to show you my handiwork." She blushed, and turned to go walking down the path toward the beach. "I think it's about that time. It's kinda hot outside. I'll bet the water would feel nice."
Elizabeth Marvel: ((okay!))
FairytaleLover00: Silent chuckled. "Most likely, but sunscreen is always good. I don't have to worry about cancer though." she laughed. Maybe being a vampire did have its up and downs. Silent watched Sizzla smooth the lotion all over her body. "Make sure you don't miss a spot." she smiled. Nodding, she put out her hand. "Oh, Sizzla. You sly dog you." she winked at the woman. It definately was going to be a fun day.
Elizabeth Marvel: ((hhahahaa!))
Elizabeth Marvel: ((*is a sly dog* XD))
FairytaleLover00: Angelus smiled when she smiled. "Maybe he'll be the first salt water duck. That'd be neat!" Were there salt water ducks? He wasn't entirely sure, but it didn't sound common.

Angelus perked his head up at the question."Yeah! Let's get going! I can't wait to cool off. It's a bit warm." He wiped a bead of sweat from his forehead.
FairytaleLover00: ((I thought you'd like that! XD. I know how much you want me. *Shows a little leg* Do you like dark or white meat? LOL!))
Elizabeth Marvel: ((That's right baby! mmmmm....dark meat is more flavorful and juicy...LOL))
FairytaleLover00: ((KFC all the way! LMAO!))
10:30 PM
Elizabeth Marvel: ((HAHAHHAHA!))
Elizabeth Marvel: ((Okay, i'm'onna post now...lol))
Elizabeth Marvel: "Wow, that's right. You don't have to worry about cancer...Or any of the diseases I have to worry about for that matter! I mean, isn't heart disease the number one killer of women or something? Pshaw, not something you have to worry about!" She giggled, waggling her finger in a circle, motioning for Silent to turn around. "I'll take good care of ya'!" Of course, she was just teasing...Being a Scorpio, Sizzla made random sexual references often. It was just something she liked to joke about. She was quite secure in her sexuality.
Elizabeth Marvel: Rhea soon joined her mother and Silent, plopping down in the chair next to her. She hoped that Angelus' chair was set up next to hers so they could talk some more. She liked talking to him. He wasn't defensive about everything like Jiro was. She pulled off her shirt to reveal the top of the sparkly purple swimming suit, and she gasped as she remembered what it looked like. "Mom, how could you buy this? I had to make some changes to it," she said giggling as she let her shorts drop to her ankles, revealing the now cut-off skirt line. "It looks way better now." The little girl smirked at Sizzla, and her mother could only laugh.
Elizabeth Marvel: "Hey, whatever you like...Next time, I'll forget about the ruffle. I know it's a bit girly for you, but it's not exactly swimming season," Sizzla said, laughing.
Elizabeth Marvel: ((okies...sorry, i had to reset the other computer...the battery died and we have a roomful of people watching a DVD from it...))
FairytaleLover00: ((No problem! This is gonna be my last post anyways. It's getting late and I have work tomorrow. K?))
FairytaleLover00: "Nothing. Nada. Zippo. Zilch. None of those human disease things can affect me." She heard about how many women in this time period let themselves go. Back in her day, women worked all the time. Around the house as well as outside. They were fit and never had to worry about most of things now. If only people knew that. Turning around, she let down her shoulder straps so Sizzla would be able to get in all the spots. "Anything for you babycakes." You used an endearing cutsey name to the woman.
Elizabeth Marvel: ((sounds good to me. It's about my bedtime anyways...))
FairytaleLover00: Angelus ran towards the beach and watched the two women put lotion on one another. "Is that supposed to happen?" he asked Rhea. Looking a little closer, he noticed that it was suntan lotion. Looking down at his pale skin, he knew that the lotion would be a necessity. He also noticed two empty chairs next to one another. It must be theirs. Sitting down on the chair, he watched as Rhea took off her clothes. He was about to cover his eyes when he realized she had her bathing suit underneath. He let out a sigh. Okay.
FairytaleLover00: He inspected the bathing suit. A ruffle? It looked nice the way it was. He couldn't imagine it having a ruffle. He smiled at Rhea and nodded. " It looks nice. I like it." He commented.

Elizabeth Marvel: "Well, at least you don't have too much to worry about," Sizzla said to Silent, rubbing sunscreen on her back and shoulders. "I've got a pretty good immune system if I do say so myself." She gave the woman a wink, giggling at the nickname Silent had given her. It was terribly cute.
Elizabeth Marvel: Rhea put her shirt and shorts in her beach bag, and then pulled out her towel, laying it over the empty beach chair next to Angelus'. Sitting down, she fiddled with the remnants of the skirt again, a bit self-conscious. Hey, at least the stupid skirt wasn't actually attached anymore. "Thanks," she said, blushing a bit. "It's a definite improvement."
Elizabeth Marvel: Looking over to her mother, she called out. "Can we have that sunscreen?"
Elizabeth Marvel: ((done))
FairytaleLover00: "A good immune system is a must. Most humans don't have that nowadays. Too hyped up on antibacterial things to the point that their own bodies won't handle the simplest of bacteria." Silent thought outloud. She shook her head. She'd never understand humans, even though she was one.
Angelus watched as Rhea put her clothes away. For some reason, he was getting really hot. Was he that sensitive to sunlight.?
FairytaleLover00: Silent looked to Angelus and nearly jumped. The boy was pale! He'd need a whole bottle of lotion just so he wouldn't burn. "Angelus!" She ruffled through her bag that laid at her feet. Taking out her lotion, she threw it over to the boy. "I know what you're probably feeling right now. Put some on, quickly!" She didn't want a burnt marshmellow of a Tale. "Share some with Rhea too!"
FairytaleLover00: ((Back at ya!))
Elizabeth Marvel: Sizzla nodded, definitely in agreement. "Pshaw, a few germs here and there definitely won't hurt you. I haven't had any major problems, and I rarely wash my hands." After tossing Rhea the bottle of suntan lotion, she leaned back in the chair, slipping her sunglasses onto her face. "Aaah, what a wonderful day for the beach!"
Elizabeth Marvel: Rhea giggled as Silent insisted that her son put on sunscreen. He was pretty pale though, she noticed. "Yeah, I don't want to see you get sunburned! You'd be as red as a crab...and then I'd feel so sorry for you! I'll help you with your back if you want...just like they were," she said, pointing to Sizzla and Silent.
Elizabeth Marvel: ((have at it!))
FairytaleLover00: Silent could feel that her back was done. "All right woman, it's your turn! Drop 'em!" Silent picked up her straps and put them snugly back on her shoulders. "Don't be too much on Angelus. Just enough." She nodded in affirmation.
Angelus looked down at his body. He wasn't that pale, was he? Oh well. Turning red didn't sound so good anyways. He smiled at Rhea."I don't want to get red. I like the way I am. " He nodded. Looking to Rhea at her comment, he nodded. Turning around, he showed her back for the slathering. Brown eyes looked to the two mothers. No one wanted to get burnt.
FairytaleLover00: ((All you!))
Elizabeth Marvel: Turning around for Silent to rub lotion on her back, she looked over at the two Tales and smiled. Awww. Whispering back to Silent, she had to comment. "They're too cute, aren't they? It's a wonder that she found someone she likes that isn't annoyed by her talking and questions. She hasn't really gotten along with too many Tales. Well, I guess we had most of our troubles with Jiro, but he did give her some pretty shocking information. He told her that she came from a book..."
6:30 PM
Elizabeth Marvel: Rhea took the bottle from Angelus, and squeezed some on his back, then rubbed it around until it had sunk in entirely. "Well, this will keep you from turning red, that's for sure. As soon as it dries, we can go get into the water! Handing him the bottle, she turned around so her back was now facing him, giving him a full view of the tattoos on her back. The swirled pattern was colored a dark purple and black, and as they were rubbed, they would glow with a very slight purple aura. Her arms were also covered in the same tattoos. Obviously, they had some type of magic surrounding them, but Rhea had yet to make use of the magic. For now, she thought they were just pretty to look at.
Elizabeth Marvel: ((go for it!))
FairytaleLover00: Silent leaned in to whisper as well. "Much too cute. Angelus is pretty patient though. I don't know where he gets it from. I'm definately not. Jiro?" Silent cocked an eyebrow at the Tale's name. "Well... He's pretty blunt. Most Tales and adults are a little thrown off by him at first." She chuckled. "I'm not sure if Angelus knows exactly where he came from. I guess it's part of growing up, you know?" she responded to the woman.
FairytaleLover00: Angelus felt her fingers rub across his back and the goo of the lotion. As long as he didn't turn red, it was fine. It took about a minute to rub in the lotion. Hearing that it was his turn, he turned around and took the bottle from her. "How long will it take to dry?" He asked Rhea. This was the first time that he could intimately see the pattern that was engraved in the girls skin. It seemed magical. He also had a tattoo on his shoulder from Akiya, but no one ever saw it because he wore shirts all the time. He told Silent awhile ago about it, but she wasn't too happy. But she got over it, knowing that it was there for a good reason. Squeezing lotion into his hand, he slowly started to rub the lotion into Rhea's back. Unknowingly, his fingers traced the patters on her back. They were amazing. He'd never seen anything like it.
FairytaleLover00: (( All you hun!))
6:40 PM
Elizabeth Marvel: "He does seem really patient," Sizzla replied, nodding. "They make good friends, from the looks of it." She took Silen
Elizabeth Marvel: t's reaction to her mentioning of Jiro to mind. "He is quite blunt. Even as a kid, I mean, that kid is really on it. I'm not sure how much patience he'll be able to have with Rhea, but there was discussion of him helping her train to use a sword. She's got this fascination with large, sharp swords. I'm not sure why, but it's like they entrance her. I know Jiro will help her as much as possible, but I also know that she'll have to be an excellent student."
Elizabeth Marvel: Laughing a bit, she continued. "Yeah, I would have told Rhea about where she came from eventually. But she found out on her third day out of the Tome. It was a bit sudden for me too," she said, a concerned look in her eyes. "I would have liked to wait just a bit longer before springing her with that news."
Elizabeth Marvel: "It shouldn't take too long," Rhea said, her back tingling as he ran his fingers over her tattoos, which were now glowing more brightly. "Hey, that tickles!" she exclaimed, giggling. "What is your tattoo of?" she asked, genuinely curious. "Mine aren't too detailed, but I like them."

It's Always Summer in Gambino, pt. 3
RP 4 cont.

FairytaleLover00: Silent took a quick glance behind her to see how the two interracted. She smiled and finished up lotioning Sizzla's back. "Angelus has a lot more girl friends than he does with the boys." she said to Sizzla. "Jiro... Jiro is definately unique. Is blunt and honest. Probably never heard the word tact before, but he's still a child. " she nodded. Jiro was like another son to Silent since she started living with the Tale and Akiya. People just had to know Jiro, that's all it was. Give him time. He was a really nice Tale. "Let's hope Rhea can take the training. Jiro's is very strict in his ways."
FairytaleLover00: Silent squeezed the womans shoulder in comfort. "I know. Angelus doesn't exactly know that he just came from a book, but he also knows that I didn't give birth to him either. It would have been nice to tell her when it felt right, but we can't predict the future. Look at it this way, she took it pretty well." Silent advised the woman. Being a parent was hard. Real hard, but that's what having a child meant. Going through challenges to better your child in one way or another.
FairytaleLover00: Angelus broke out of his reverie and brought his hand to his sides. Apologizing, he wrung his fingers together. Looking over his shoulder, he looked at the small picture. "A crescent moony with a few blue swirls. It's pretty simpley." He showed her his shoulder so she could see.
FairytaleLover00: ((It's all you now babycakes!))
9:00 PM
Elizabeth Marvel: Sizzla nodded. "Perhaps one day Jiro will discover that tact is a good thing to use...Probably not until he offends someone he wasn't intending on offending. But, I think Rhea can take the training. She's quite headstrong, and she hates to lose at things. I think it could be a very intense training for her."
Elizabeth Marvel: "Thanks, I think she took it well enough so that i don't have to worry about it...She seems unaffected, though she does have frequent headaches. I doubt that's the cause of that though." Thinking back to Rhea's migranes, Sizzla was reminded of her own headaches, and the events that had taken place with Labradorite not too long ago. Could it have been that Labbie was warning her about Rhea's arrival? "All kids have their troubles though, right?"
Elizabeth Marvel: Rhea just smiled at him. She hadn't minded him rubbing her back. She quite liked it in fact. It was soothing, and it was obvious that she was reacting to the touch. The glowing tattoos were proof of that. "It's okay, don't worry about it," she reassured him. "It was nice." Turning, she took a closer look at his tattoo. "Ooh, that's pretty. The swirls kinda look like mine." She was happy to see that they had the same taste in body art. "Are you ready to go swimming? It's awfully hot up here!"
Elizabeth Marvel: ((Done! All you! Sorry that took so long...))
FairytaleLover00: ((It's ok!))
FairytaleLover00: Silent nodded in agreement. " I also wish for that day to come. But he'll realize that being blunt isn't always the best thing. And by the look of Rhea, it looks like she can take on anything if she had to." She quickly glanced behind her again and back to Sizzla. "Too cute!" She whispered.
FairytaleLover00: "Rhea probably thinks about it on her own time and doesn't real delve deep into it. Headaches? Is this common for her." If something like that happened to Angelus, Silent would be a bit worried. She smiled and nodded. "All children have their troubles. No matter what. And look at us? We came out fine." she smiled.
FairytaleLover00: Angelus smiled at the comment. "They do a bit. Right?" He thought so. Looking to the water, he could feel a bead of sweat fall down his temple. " Swimming sounds great. " Rising on to his two feet, he offered his hand to Rhea to help her up. "Ready?"
FairytaleLover00: ((All you!))
9:20 PM
Elizabeth Marvel: Sizzla just nodded and giggled to herself. They were like little adults...but not. "Well, that's probably true. I know she thinks about a lot of things...She's always out looking for new information. She knows the most random facts, but I attribute that to her encyclopedia reading. But the headaches have been going on since she came to me...No doctors have any idea why she has them." She paused. "I think it's because of her powers though."
Elizabeth Marvel: Grabbing his hand, she let herself be pulled up, and she led the way to the water, turning quickly to wave to her mom. "We're gonna go get in! But we won't go far!" Moving down to the shoreline, Rhea laughed as the sand became moist and squished between her toes. Wading out to about knee depth, she motioned for Angelus to come in too. "Come on, we'll start slow," she suggested, her crimson eyes sparkling in the sunlight.
Elizabeth Marvel: ((okay! your turn!))
9:30 PM
FairytaleLover00: Silent listened intentively. "Angelus loves to read as well. Whatever he can find that's interesting, he'll read it. No doubt about it. Well, I hope the headaches aren't life threatening." She thought that that was it, but it wasn't/ "Powers? What powers?" She knew the Tales were special, it just surprised her how special.
FairytaleLover00: Angelus let Rhea lead them to the shoreline. He looked to Silent and Sizzla. "We'll be careful!" He yelled back. He looked to Rhea and stiffened up a bit. His wings shot up in the air as high as they could, so they wouldn't get wet. He didn't know how his wings would be affected if their were dunked in water for a long period. He knew that if Crow's were out in the rain for awhile, the wings would become much too soaked and they wouldn't be able to fly anymore. He didn't want to lose that ability. He'd let Rhea lead the way.
FairytaleLover00: ((All you!))
10:00 PM
Elizabeth Marvel: ((sorry, I went to QT to get a slushie...my tooth hurts! Good thing I get my cavity filled tomorrow!))
FairytaleLover00: ((Yay for cavities!))
Elizabeth Marvel: ((ewww....I hate it when they give you the shot in the mouth! That's the worst!))
FairytaleLover00: ((Oh yeah. But you don't feel a thing after that!))
Elizabeth Marvel: Wow, it seemed that these two Tales had quite a bit in common. "Maybe they can start up a book club or something. I'll bet a lot of the other Tales love reading too. It seems they'd all have that in common...And the headaches...well, the doctor said they weren't life threatening. We go to a doctor that specializes in cases like Rhea's." Sizzla continued with the story, explaining how she had gone to the same doctor before Rhea came to being. She had gotten the headaches as well, and had had strange dreams of a young woman, who looked remarkably similar to Rhea. It was a precognition of some sort, she figured. "So the doctor specializes in psionic, or mental powers. Rhea seems to be proficient with telepathy and psychometabolism, though her powers are still developing. No one really knows what her full potential is yet. She'll be full of surprises."
Elizabeth Marvel: Rhea looked carefully at Angelus, making sure he was okay with the depth of the water. She wondered if it was okay to get his wings wet...After all, it would be hard to swim without getting them wet. "Angelus, umm, can you get your feathers wet? I wouldn't want to mess up your feathers, but I'd imagine that they'd dry, just like a bird would if it was caught out in a rainstorm." She layed down on her back and floated in the water, showing him how it was done. "See, this is what you'll have to learn to do first. I'll put my hands under your back, and help you. Just let me know if you're uncomfortable."
Elizabeth Marvel: ((Okay! I'm so slow! crying
Elizabeth Marvel: )0
Elizabeth Marvel: ((your turn! ))
10:20 PM
FairytaleLover00: "A book club. Like Oprah." she joked. " A lot of Tales seemed to love to read, which is a very good trait to have." Silent listened about this 'special' doctor. "Really now? So... It's like... You have visions? But not really?" That would make sense to Silent. "And, you think Rhea has these powers as well? Interesting." She never thought much about Angelus. Maybe she became so used to being a demon herself that she quickly grew accustomed to Angelus. A fallen angel he is, but each one was different. Had a different place; contained different powers. Angelus was still too young to know for sure, exactly, what kind of powers, if any, he had. "Children are fully surprises. Human and non-human alike."
FairytaleLover00: Angelus eyed the water carefully. He nodded his head. "I can, but not for too long." He wasn't exactly sure if him being a fallen angel, exonerated him from the disadvantes of birds wings. He wasn't sure, but from what he heard, he was really careful with them just in case. Brown eyes watched the girl float on the water. Was it that easy? He nodded his head in understanding. "Okay." Taking a deep breath. He stepped into the water until he was knee high deep. "You'll help me, right?" He was scared.
FairytaleLover00: (( You're turn! It's ok about being slow. XOXOXOXO))
10:35 PM
Elizabeth Marvel: "Just like Oprah!" she said, laughing. "I can only imagine what kind of books they'd read!" Thinking about her dreams, Sizzla thought if she could compare them to visions. "Well, I dunno. I've only had these dreams of Rhea, and being in this strange place that seemed so chaotic. The colors were all wrong, and it didn't look like this world at all. But in that world, I saw my reflection in a lake, and I looked like Rhea, but older. I think she was the one causing the headaches, and the visions. Somehow we were meant to be, I think." She didn't mention that Labbie had had a part in this as well. Maybe one day she'd tell the woman about the stone that caused the visions...She was just glad it hadn't been happening since Rhea's arrival.
Elizabeth Marvel: "The only powers I have come from my fey blood. I have telepathic and telekinetic powers, but they are not nearly as strong as Rhea's. It was strange to have such prophetic dreams for a time there..." She paused, and considered the other Tales. "Does Angelus have any powers to speak of?"
Elizabeth Marvel: "Of course I'll help you!" Rhea exclaimed, grabbing his hand and squeezing it tightly. I'll have my hands under you the whole time.
Elizabeth Marvel: She knelt down into the surf, and the water now came to her shoulders. as she settled into the sand. Laying her arms out, palms up, she motioned for him to come lie down. "It'll be okay. I promise."
Elizabeth Marvel: ((okay! your turn! I probably can only post one more time...))
FairytaleLover00: ((Same here. LOL.))
FairytaleLover00: "Who doesn't love Oprah?" She winked at Sizzla. "I could only imagine what kind of books they'd read." She shook her head in mirth. "Wait... A younger you? Now that's interesting. Angelus?" Her brown eyes looked to the winged boy in the water. "Well... He's... The name... The dreams... It scares me to what he'll become. Not only a fallen angel, but the characterisitcs of a vampire. It's... complicated. He dreams of past actions that another vampire had done. A cruel vampire. I knew him personally, but lost touch with him a while ago. I just... I don't know what the Powers that Be would have up their sleeves to make a reincarnate of that heinous man. A demon with the face of an angel." She sighed. Who knew exactly what would come of this.
FairytaleLover00: "I don't know any powers. Yet. But because of the blood transfusion between Jiro and Angelus, they seem to have a telepathic link with one another. " she admitted to the woman.
FairytaleLover00: Angelus nodded. She'd have her hands under him. It couldn't be that bad. Looking at her arms, he nodded once more and slolwy started to fall back.

Elizabeth Marvel: "Well, she's not quite exactly like me, though we do share some abilities," Sizzla said. "She's even better at telepathy than I am, though I've had years of practice. I really have to concentrate, but if she wanted, she could speak that way all of the time." The woman listened intently as Silent told her some important things about Angelus. Once she was finished, she looked out to the water, to check on the kids. Surely Angelus, the sweet kid that he was, could never be a cruel vampire. "Do you really think that he could be a reincarnation of that man? He seems so harmless! And what was the the blood transfusion for, if you don't mind me asking."
Elizabeth Marvel: Letting him lay back into her arms, she spoke to him soothingly. "It'll be okay," she said, her voice as comforting as possible. "I'm right here. Once you can lay back like this, we'll start kicking."
Elizabeth Marvel: ((okay!))
FairytaleLover00: "I guess once you're born with it, it's just a part of yourself. It's just easy then." Her gaze followed the womans. She let out a sigh and shook her head. "I hope he's not, but I'm not sure. All the Tale's are connected to the adults in someway. And, honestly, I didn't have such a bright past." She admitted. She squinted her eyes to bring up the memoires. "Um.. sure... Yeah. Well, Angelus had left to play in the backyard of the shop with his friend Aido. And, well, a past acquaintance of mine thought it would be nice to take something very important to me. Angelus. And he had a compaion when he was a child. A shapeshifter that turned him in. I see him around every now and then, but I don't say anything to Angelus."
FairytaleLover00: Anyways, to make a long story short, Jiro, Akiya, Aido, Choa, Rael, and I found him, but he was imprisoned by my old master. A very old, evil vampire. Well... He bit Angelus, and nearly sucked him dry, but we stopped him. So Jiro offered his blood to Angelus so he could live." She didn't want to get into too much details. The memories brought back the feeling of pain and helplessness. "He has a scar on his neck of the bite, but most people don't notice. And he doesn't talk about it." She stated. Thank god she staked that b***h when she had the chance.
FairytaleLover00: Angelus let out a sigh of relief as he felt assured hands on his back. He didn't feel himself sinking, so that was a plus. "Ok. I feel better." he told Rhea.
FairytaleLover00: ((You
FairytaleLover00: ((You're turn!* LOL))
Elizabeth Marvel: Sizzla listened to the story wide-eyed, shocked to hear that the young boy had gone through so much already. Rhea's life had been a piece of cake compared to that! "Wow. I'm so sorry to hear that there have been such difficulties already! Poor Angelus...So he became a partial vampire because of your master?" Sizzla punched her fist into her open palm. "No way man. I would have taken that guy out!" She laughed, trying to take the edge off the conversation. "I hope things go well for him though. He's a really sweet boy."
Elizabeth Marvel: Feeling his full weight on her arms, she felt fine feathers tickle her arms. She'd be careful not to let his wings get too wet. "Okay, good. Comfortable is good." She smiled down at him, a drop of water dripping off of her nose and onto his cheek. "Oops!"
Elizabeth Marvel: "Okay, now kick your feet up and down...Make sure you get some splash in there too, cause it's more fun that way," she commented, giggling.
Elizabeth Marvel: ((your turn! s**t! THIS GUY JUST GOT A KNEE TO THE FACE!! He was knocked out in 9 seconds!! O_O))
FairytaleLover00: ((That had gotta hurt! Damn!!!!))
FairytaleLover00: Silent put up a smile and nodded. "Yeah, but he hung in there. Thankfully nothing too extreme happened." The vampiress shook her head. "No. He had the signs of a vampire, but his senses weren't exactly that of a vampire. It's weird. But now, I guess, the bite sped things up." Sizzla just felt helt for her master. "I'm going to find him and make sure he doesn't pull a stunt like that. Ever again. Glory, the woman, didn't fait out too well though." A cheschire cat of a smile came to her lips. "She's just dust now." The broad had it coming to her. "He is a sweet boy. A little misfit, but sweet." she smiled.
FairytaleLover00: Angelus took another deep breath and closed his eyes. He quickly opened them when a drop of water fell on him. Laughing, he looked up at Rhea. "It's ok." Listening to her instructions, he started to kick his feet, but slowly. He was a bit unsure still, even though she said he could splash.
FairytaleLover00: ((All you!))
Elizabeth Marvel: "Well, I don't know much about what it's like to be a vampire, but I'm not sure if it's something I'd want for myself...Good thing he didn't become a full vampire--unless he wanted to be of course. And she's just dust now eh? You take care of business when necessary," she said, nodding. "He seems like a good kid at least. Does he have many Tale friends?"
Elizabeth Marvel: "There you go! You're doing great! Now all you have to do is kick harder. Then, once you get used to that, I can move my hands away--slowly of course--and you'll be albe to move all on your own." Taking a few laps up and down parallel to the beach, Rhea saw that he was getting the swing of things.
Elizabeth Marvel: ((okay!))
FairytaleLover00: Silent shrugged her shoulders. "You've got the good and not so good. But overall? I wish I was human. Be able to grow old, have kids, die peacefully. No. I watch those closest around me die, because I outlive them and I can't help them. It sucks being immortal. "She chuckled. "It's not all it's hyped up to be, but I've made peace with it." She scrunched up her forehead in concentration. "Well, Jiro and Aido are two Tales he's definately the closest. I'm sure Rhea is going to be on the list by the end of today." she smiled.
FairytaleLover00: "Um... He's hung with Sylvester, the cute giraffe one, Armel, he has ram horns...Um... He just met Vidya. He doesn't like Tybalt, I know that for sure. Linny, he likes, and Lance! What with him being a dragon and all. I think that's it? I don't have the best memory though." she laughed. Being immortal didn't mean her memory would get any better.
FairytaleLover00: Angelus nodded and started kicking a bit harder. He tensed as he felt water splash over his body, but relaxed when his body accustomed to the feeling. "Am I doing it?" He didn't want to open his eyes yet.
FairytaleLover00: ((There ya go!))
10:05 PM
Elizabeth Marvel: "I don't think I'd want to be immortal. Like you say, it'd be sad to see all of the people you love grow old and die...Though I suppose there could be upsides to it as well. You've probably experienced a lot in your life, and you still have much more to see, I gather." She smiled at the woman, wondering what it would be like to be in her shoes. She couldn't imagine living forever. Eternity was a very long time...
Elizabeth Marvel: "Rhea met Sylvester too! He's a nice boy too...His guardian is pretty cool. We talked for quite awhile, and I think one day we're going to hang out or something. She gets out of the house about as much as I do," the silver-haired woman said with chuckle. "We're both homebodies."
Elizabeth Marvel: "Rhea had a great time with Sylvester though. They played hide and seek for awhile, and there was talk of further adventures. Other than him though, Rhea's only met a couple of Tales. She met Chailyn at the Halloween party, and of course she met Jiro," she said, rolling her eyes, just a litttle bit. It was rough, and she was sure that their relationship would have it's ups and downs.
Elizabeth Marvel: Rhea cheered him on, happy that he was feeling more one with the water. "You are! That's awesome! Keep going!" she exclaimed, her voice joyful. As he got his momentum going, Rhea slowly dropped one hand from his back, giving him less to depend on. She knew he could do it. He just had to feel confident!
Elizabeth Marvel: ((your turn!))
FairytaleLover00: Silent shook her head. "Don't be. It's not worth it. Huh? Oh, the things I've seen? Man, I could write a best seller!"She laughed. "The REAL life of a vampire. Anne Rice, look out!" She continued to laugh. Silent listened to Rhea's interactions with other Tales. "From what I know, Sylvester is a sweetheart. Wait... You? A homebody? I'd never suspect it?" she gently chucked the woman on the shoulder. " I bet you paint the town red." She winked at the woman.
FairytaleLover00: "And with Jiro? Give it time. He's one of those kind of people that you NEED to get to know." she nodded in understanding.
FairytaleLover00: Angelus smiled and kept on kicking. He was doing it! "I'm doing it Rhea!" He didn't even notice her hand leave his back.
Elizabeth Marvel: Anne Rice...Sizzla had read only a part of one of her books, and it had been okay. It hadn't held her interest enough for her to finish it. "I'm sure you could do a better job than Anne Rice! Writing from experience and everything...I say do it! You've got years to do it in anyways..." She giggled, laying back in her lounger, soaking in the UV rays. "Paint the town red? Are you kidding!? Maybe one day we can paint the town together, 'cause that's not something I do all on my own!" She gave Silent a nudge with her elbow.

Rhea's Journal
Diary/Narrative 6

2.25.06

Dear Journal,
I have a new friend. His name is Angelus. He's a bit bigger than me, but he's got the coolest wings! And he gave me one of his feathers--I'm gonna put it in my hair I think. I'll have to see what mom says about it.

Anyway, he's really nice, and I think we'll be good friends. One day, I hope he takes me flying.

He also gave me a Christmas present, which was so good of him! It was an egg but it hatched into a ducky. I named him George. He's cute.

I've got to go now. But I wanted to tell you about angel first.

I hope I get to see him again soon.

Love,
Rhea
