Jack woke up with a startle. He had fallen asleep on his bed and now carried a bedhead. He yawned and checked outside his window to see what time it was.

All of a sudden, the noise stopped. Vanilla opened her eyes. She had been cowering down in the fire pit, her hands to her ears and her eyes scrunched shut. "What the hell was that?" she yelled out loud.

As Naomi was opening the door, she look over at the girl that held the knife before. She was now in the fire pit.
"What the hell was what?"

Standing up, Vanilla looked around. There was a girl standing at the door to the cabin next to hers, looking at her. Then she looked at herself, covered in soot from being in the fire pit. The noise was so loud and piercing that she hadn't even realized she was climbing in. she stepped out of the fire pit and started walking back towards her cabin. She said "Hi" to the girl and introduced herself. "I'm Vanilla, it's nice to meet you. I was just uh...do you have any idea where that noise was coming from?" She laughed nervously.

"Hi," Naomi said "uh. . .don't worry, it was probably just ringing in your ears that you wear hearing."
She looked at the soot spots on Vanilla's arm. "Do you want to come inside and wash up?"

Jack finally decided to walk to the lake. He put his shoes on and ran out the door, acting like a hyperactive kid and skipping along the path.

"Hmm...uh..Geez. I better go back inside and finish unpacking. Thanks for the offer though!" Vanilla said, and she walked away attempting to brush th soot off her arms. "This girl didn't hear that? But it was so loud!" Vanilla thought, "there's no way it could have all been in my head, is there?" She took a look around before going into her cabin and saw another girl skipping around towards the lake. She too, seemed like she had heard nothing.

Naomi smiled and shook her head. She unlocked the door and walked in.
The cabin was beautiful. She drop her things next to the nearest bed she could find and plopped herself onto it. Immediately, she fell into a deep sleep.

Back in her cabin, Vanilla finished putting her things away. Then she grabbed her towel, some quarters, and headed out to the showers. She didn't see that other girl around anymore as she walked past Naomi's quiet cabin. When she reached the bath house, Vanilla opened the door and went inside. She hung her towel on the door of her shower stall and put two quarters in the slot on the wall. Warm water started spouting out of the shower head and she enjoyed a long hot shower.
Meanwhile, Melvin Highwater was above his shop tinkering with his radio. He was having a hard time finding any stations. All he could hear was a high pitched screeching noise with interspersed clicks and moans. "Now where have I heard this before?" Melvin thought to himself.

Jack was finally by the water and he was enjoying throwing rocks at the surface. After a while he just sat down and relaxed, watching the life of the lake. Soon enough he started to daydream about adventures and life on other planets. He wondered if they would be nice if anything came to earth.

After her shower, Vanilla went back to her room and got her map out. Apparently there was a nice lake with a boat rental shop. She looked out the window. The sun was starting to go down. "I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to go swimming," Vanilla thought to herself. She look at her watch. It was almost nine. Everyone was supposed to meet by the campfire for dinner and stories at nine. Vanilla went to the mirror by her bed and put her eyeliner on. When she felt ready, she went out the door and walked to the fire pit.

Jack sat there for a while before taking a look at his watch.
"........... Already??!!" He rushed up and ran towards the camp, intending to come first to the campfire.

Naomi awoke with a startle.
She yawned and looked at the time on her wristwatch.
Sitting up she looked out a window, noticing the campfire.
"Guess it's about that time."
She got out of bed and noticed her hair was a mess.
Patting it down she walked outside towards the campfire.
I hope there'll be smores.

Jack sat down close to the campfire, smiling and looking around if anobody was coming. He brought marshmallows with him from his cottage.
