"I am alone." He said, sighing. "I lived with my aunt for a while...but that ended badly." His eyes narrowed in remembrance. "I prefer to say that I never had family at all. The being wasn't anything remotely close to a 'family'" He looked back at her. "But that's not to say that I wouldn't mind having a family to be with." This Eden, she was interesting. It was almost...relaxing to be around another, without the fear of being driven off. He was at ease, something he wasn't used to, and that allowed him to explore this possibility of friendship with much less difficulty.

Eden smiled at his acceptance. "Wonderful.." she nudged him with her shoulder, playfully. Jumping back and hunching down, she grinned with her tail in the air, swaying. Time to lighten the mood. "Tag.. you're it." she grinned more, tensing to spring away.
She was glad that he was willing to try and make friends. She'd like to have a new friend, once in a while. So far all she'd be able to make friends with was Ravenfall...

He smiled with wicked amusement as he rose quickly, leaning to one side as she tensed, grinning a few feet away. There he paused, slowly hunching down, preparing to spring. Finally, Taronja leapt at her, growling in mock battle.

She giggled loudly, leaping back away from his reach. "Close!" she grinned and ran around the tree, avoiding his advances each time. She peeked around the trunk of the tree, trying to see his next move. Hm.. Where was he? She looked behind her and around her, trying to catch sight of the bright helix. Surely it wasn't this difficult to see a neon orange and yellow helix?!
Nervous, but still smiling, she back away from the tree. Being on edge kept her alert. Hm..

He laughed as she darted away around a tree, and he chased her, until a large willow caught his eye. Here was one large enough for him to hide behind. He loped behind the tree as she ran on. The low hanging branches, and multitude of new leaves hopefully hid him from sight as he searched for her. Now the hunted must become the hunter....
A dark form came from behind another tree. There! He grinned as she backed closer to him...

She still hadn't caught sight of him, maybe he hadn't saw her yet? She could hide in that tree! Good plan; You go girl! She grinned devilishly and turned to dart into the tree. But she was quickly halted by a blunt force she had smashed into. What the? The first thing she that was that it was the tree trunk, but the wall had shifted from impact. Surely a tree trunk wouldn't do that?
She blinked confused, and opened her eyes, looking up. Oh dear... her skin flushed a bright bright red, gladly hidden by her dark pelt. "T-Taronja.." her eyes widen from the proximity and her stomach flushed with butterflies. Taking an sharp inhale, she didn't think to move.

Taronja lost sight of her. Peeking farther from behind the tree, he searched the shadows for her, but failed at finding her.....Where did she go? he thought....
A blunt object propelled itself into his body. He yelped at the broadside attack, and rolled over once before regaining his footing and jumping very close to his assailant.
"Taronja!"
He realized it was Eden who hasd jumped on him. He paused mid snarl, lowering his lips over his fangs as embarrassment filled his body with nerves. "o-oh." he stammered, looking at her wide eyes with his own. "I-i'm sorry...I didn't know it was you..." She was very close, and his skin prickled strangely....

She swallowed loudly, her ears laying flat on the back of her head. "Um, ah, well, I'm-" she stammered, trying to gather her thoughts. "I'm so sorry! I-I didn't know you were hiding here, and, ah-" she just sat back, a little farther from Taronja, looking down and embarrassed. She'd made a fool of her self. Some alpha material.
She glanced up at him, her skin still burning with the bright blush that again she thanked goddess Verity for.

Taronja saw her back away and, instead of doing the same, he took a step forward, staring at her strangely. "Are you...ok?" he asked, peering closer at her embarassment. They were but a foot apart, and there he paused, waiting for her response. He felt embarassed at being so close, but this strange feeling.....what was it?

She took another sharp breath, but didn't let go of it. Just stared back at Taronja- unblinking. A few moments passed before she could think of a proper response to his question. "I'm.. I'm alright." she half smiled, still keeping her gaze with him. What was he doing?
She swallowed hard, standing to her paws which made her just that much closer to Taronja.. but she didn't back away either.

They were almost touching now. He leaned a bit forward, and, just as they were about to connect, he stopped, turning his head to the right adn taking a tenative step backwards. He couldn't breathe, something sat within him, keeping him from catching his breath. He inhaled quickly, and shivered once before offering her a small smile. "Well....." he said, smile stuck to his face to hide his confusion. "I...I found you."

Eden stood, smiling back at him, but in a different way than she had been earlier. Her eyes closed some and her smile was more gentle. "I suppose you did." she wasn't new to 'crushes.' She was an experienced flirt. But.. it had been a long while since a boy had made her stomach twist like Taronja's smile.. his face.. his presence made hers was at that moment.
She took a step forward, the same he had taken back and tilted her head to look at him in the face again. "Now, what are you going to do since you've found me?" her voice was silky and quiet, just over a whisper.

Now it was his turn to blush, but he didn't back away. This female had his mind spinning, and he had to admit to himself that he didn't entirely mind the feeling. His smile was genuine, and he allowed himself closer to her, back to almost touching. "Well......" He said, voice trailing off vaguely, and his eyes crinkled as he smiled wider....
As his nose touched the tip of hers, he felt his nervousness increase. What on earth was he thinking...
"Your it." He whispered.

She blinked at him slowly, it taking a moment for her to understand what he meant by "Your it." ......Tag? Jeeeeeez. She grinned up at him, shaking her head. "Mood murder." she whispered right before she licked his check and darted off.
Looking over her shoulder she grinned more. "TAG."

He shook his head quickly as she licked him on the cheek, flashing a smile at her as he began to chase her through the trees again, laughing.
He liked this girl.
Eden made him feel at ease, he realized as he ran after her. She was special...different from anyone he had met before...
He picked up the pace a bit, trying to catch this creature that, in a matter of hours, became so precious to him.
