It first started when we started running with this guy, a GREAT healer, I mean.. fantastic heals.. we was a nelf druid, and we ran uldaman like 3 times, and mauradon once, and EVERY time a +SP ring, neck, or anything dropped, he got it. My lock could have used that shiz!! He ended up being a d**k anyways... Fail. crying

Laughing Orange I don't care about losing rolls as long as it's fair. but back before tbc I was in Zul'Gurub and we just downed Bloodlord Mandokir.. well he dropped the Halberd of smiting I had been wanting for so long as I was a retribution paladin and had a s**t weapon, well I roll on it.. and then a holy paladin rolled on it and won it. I wouldn't care as much but he never used the weapon after this that I seen.. and besides he already had really good gear and always got to go to raids. I never would get to go hardly. FFFFFFFF- I know how you feel man i was in naxx 25 i lost the Sinister revenge to another rogue. I rolled a 1 he rolled a 99.. i was so pissed

I remember going into heroic Naxx and a trinket dropped that I really wanted. I was so excited. You know, I was pretty geared - I hardly rolled on items anymore because what I needed was...you know..not in Naxx. Except THIS trinket.
I had that feeling - the feeling you have when YOUR loot drops. Your fingers are tingling with eagerness to type the /roll that decides your fate. The rest of the healers in the raid wouldn't need the trinket, except this holy pally. He's in greens. He hardly comes to raids, and when he does, he d/c's every time we pull more than one mob. You know, he's THAT guy. I had this. I HAD IT.
/roll happens. I roll a 99. I was like FSCK YES. I have this. It's MINE.
And he rolls a 100.

Can't say that I've ever been totally angry about losing a roll to someone else.
Usually I check their gear and they are pretty much more deserving of the item,
since its a major upgrade for them.
I did lose a roll for 25man shoulders in OS. I was sad, but not overtly upset.
The pally got it. But I'm not sure if pallys really need Mp5? Oh well - i'm 5 tolkens away from Valorous Shoulders :3 *Squee*

For three Naxx runs in a row, my friend was trying to get this dagger, and all three times he rolled a 37. He finally got it the fourth week when it dropped, cuz everyone else who wanted it already had it.

FenrisVollmond There are times when something absolutely brilliant drops and you Need it, or maybe it's something you've been waiting drop for ******** AGES, or whatever... And more than you rolls on it... And you lose. What was that item? And do you still remember who (as in class or whatever) you lost it to? And what you roll was compared to theirs? It just happened to me a short while ago. Did a timed CoS run, something I didn't think I'd get to do since I didn't think my dps was good enough yet, and we made it in time and, of course, the bronze drake dropped... Only two of us were rolling on it and the other person won. I mean, I'm happy for 'em and all but... *mimes choking them and bashing their head on desk* ...Yeah, I'm happy for 'em. lol Didn't pay attention to the rolls other than the fact that I lost. lol same as a drake but only not the Bronze but the Blue one from EoE -.- Just had to roll that 76 THERE! stupid mage with 100! btw i was second biggest roll

i was on my guilds first run of Uldar and the Firesoul dropped..... wouldn't you know that all 3 palis and a shadow priest roll on it..... i lost with a 99 i was Q.Qing for a week

I collect non-combat pets. So during the Halloween event, I'd kill the Horseman every day in hopes of getting the squashling. When it dropped, i was in a group with exactly one other pet collector. She got it. Then the group yelled at me for being a sore loser, which I was not being. I was griping a LITTLE, I was not insulting her as a person or anything.
Good thing it dropped again five minutes later. lol
A more painful example was the time some friends took me into...some instance or other to get me some better gear. A weapon drops that is absolutely PERFECT for cat druids. The one person in the group not informed that the run was all about getting me better gear took it. gonk

I once had a level 70 belf rouge and were doing a 25 man raid ( I cant remeber but) as soon as we defeated the boss the loot master took EVERYTHING and left! there were so many of us so angry we switched sides and kicked his a** for 9 hours straight. ( no literatly this is so true, and I now know how revenge is sweet. but I got rid of my belf, oh well.)

Three Rogue/Mage/DK/Druid shoulders dropped out of a really good 25 Naxx pug I was healing for, and rolls begin.
I go to type /roll ...
"You have been disconnected from server."
My internet is dead for three hours.

LAST NIGHT.
In Violet Hold, my tanking friend was talking to me about the Staff of Trickery.
Pretty nice, it would be a major improvement for a fresh 80 hunter like me. (Trying really hard to get geared, it's hard to run heroics when you come prepackaged with a tank.)
So, guess what, it drops!
OUR HEALING DRUID STOLE IT
FOR HIS OFF SPEC!
He didn't even ask to need!!
I lost of course. Greedy d-bag.
I hate this game because of people like him.

i was in Molten Core with my 60 orc warrior i was trying to get the helm of might when we kill the dude that drops it i rolled need and some shaman rolled need and won it i was WTF? why does the shaman get it? we had to roll cuz there was a master looter for epic drops i rolled a 95 the shaman rolled a 97 it sucked crying
