"Good boy.." Shyntyl stated with some slightly level of confusion. He was such a weird little creature she had picked up here. A very... very weird little creature indeed. But none the less she was pleased that he had at least listened to her... she was far, far too used to looking after the children of her siblings. They were all younger than her, yes, it was true, but she was one of the only ones to have not yet procreated. She wasn't really interested in that yet... her family's... methods did not really sit well with her. Either way, she had a fair number of years experience at playing mum, so this was nothing new. He behaved like one of the children...

"Drop the lady, call me Shyn if you will.. it's somewhat easier." She'd rather not have anyone pick up on her noble blood if she could avoid it honestly. She liked being able to disappear into the crowds rather than stand out in them.

"As for your stunning figure. You're interesting taste in clothing does little to compliment it... oh... hold on a moment... I have you figured out now..." She smiled very slightly, his strange mannerisms seemed to have finally started to make sense to her. "You're young, that is painfully obvious... but you've also little interest in furthering yourself... romantically in the under dark..." He liked men. There was no way around that one. "You should be careful in this city... there are some.. unsavoury characters with your tastes..." She had met one herself recently.. though his tastes would not be inclined towards Div... and he was not exactly unsavoury... he was rather delicious in fact.

That was a strange tangent just there... it seemed Div's odd mind was going to be bothering her own... unfortunate.

When she had called him a good boy he had felt a slight smile tug at his lips until she continued speaking. Div blinked a moment shrugging,

“I am not that young and I can look after myself Shyn.” His voice was earnest and he nodded decisively a slightly stubborn look on his face. He ignored the fact that Shyntyl herself had managed to surprise him. He squirmed in his seat eyes focussed on his wine, to be precise she could have killed him any number of times and there was not a lot he really could have done about it. His illusions were useful and made it possible to scare people away from him, but only if he had time and even then only if they would be scared by whatever he showed them. Ok so maybe there were a lot of flaws in what he had said.

He slouched in his seat drooping a little as he really thought about it. He should start to carry maybe a weapon of some sort. He didn’t like the sound of the unsavoury characters she had mentioned. Div wasn't arrogant enough to think in a fight he would avoid injury. He did tend to stand out a lot and well….. He couldn’t even continue with his own train of thought it went down a path he didn’t want to think about.

He couldn’t look at Shyn eyes focussed hard on the watered wine in his cup. He muttered slightly abashed, “I will take care.” He felt more abashed than he normally would if someone told him to take care. He normally would brush it aside, but there was something about Shyn that made him take what she said more seriously somehow.

"Oh now." The woman stated, looking over att he somewhat abashed youngster again. "Chances are you will be fine, but I would just advise you to take care. Guil'Durth can be a hideous place to be, just as it can also be magical." She smiled very slightly, her dark lips actually making a friendly expression.

"And I suppose for now I'll keep an eye on you... I've little else to be doing and you look woman enough to keep the interests of my house at bay.." She chuckled very quietly, her tone teasing, very slightly, but teasing none the less. "Don't fret either, my dearest friend in this dark hole is of your persuasion. And he makes do quite well.. though... do you have any method of arming yourself, Div..? Or are you as unarmed as you appear to be..?" She rested her chin on her hand, and her elbow on the table as she looked at him.

"I am not seeking to critisize you, I am mearly asking. Not all people decide that violence is the way they live, they prefer tricks and hiding, which is fair enough.. I simply wish to know what I have managed to affiliate myself with today..." perhaps... she could teach him a little..?

He perked up slightly at her words,

“I will just have to prove I am not a trouble magnet.” He grinned one hand brushing through his hair. He arched one brow leaning forward, “I look like a girl?” He tried for mock offended, but a grin fought to spread across his face he supposed he didn’t exactly look like the most manly of drow. His look turned curious then, "I do wonder why my presence if more masculine would interest your house. Although that may be none of my business." He was nosey, but not stupid enough to try and force someone to tell him something.

Div held his hands up palms facing Shyntyl, “I am as unarmed as I look.” He moved resting his chin on one palm, “I haven’t really been wandering around too long. I just always assumed my illusions would be enough, but well…” Here he pointed to her, “You proved that if taken by surprise my illusions are nothing. I did feel a little naked without any weapon.” He tilted his head regarding her, “..and no offence taken. I have nothing against violence as long as I am not on the receiving end.” His grin was darkly amused.

"You probably don't want to know," Shyn stated with a wave of her hand as regards to her family. "They would just take too much of an interest, trust me on tat one." She lifted her glass to her lips with the hand she wasn't leaning on and took a sip of the wine. "I can understand you not wanting to be armed, but sadly you can't always be as prepared as you might like to be." She set the glass down, here fingers lingering on the polished base of it for a moment longer before they slipped back onto the table surface.

"I think you might want to think about.. learning some other method of protecting yourself if you don't wish to have some manner of permanent body guard." She was a fighter herself through and through, and she could not really imagine being totally defenceless and on her own in the world... it would be... well, she'd feel almost undressed. It would be like stepping out without her veil on. She lifted it to drink once again... when food arrived she'd remove it, of course she would. But for now it would stay put.

"Maybe... I could help you...." She stated thoughtfully, her eyes flicking up to fix on his face. "If you wanted of course... I don't have the most heavy handed style of dispatching people, but it works well enough.."

Div’eari sipped his wine again seeming to be thinking over what she had said a slightly more serious look than was usual on his face. It seemed like a good offer. She was nice enough he supposed especially for a female. She didn’t seem to look down on him, but she appeared to be used to being in command although that may be more connected to his haphazard nature.

A server appeared placing plates of food down on the table and Div nodded his thanks automatically. Once the server left, he opened his mouth to speak,

“I do not believe having a permanent bodyguard would be something I would particularly enjoy, although I have had a couple temporary ones whilst on a job.” He sent her a wry smile, “My personality is not something everyone can get used to.”

He bowed his head to her his tone oddly respectful, “It would be my honour to learn from you.” His face creased back into a cheeky grin, “I am certain your style would suit me better than anything particularly heavy handed.” He raised one slim arm, twisting it from side to side, “I am not the most impressively built of drow.” His attention turned to the food slender fingers reaching hovering for a moment over the meat before going to some of the vegetables his face holding the smallest hint of a grimace as he put a mushroom into his mouth. He took a quick sip of his wine and helped himself to some of the meat wondering whether she would notice if his vegetables “disappeared” and realised she probably would. She seemed pretty observant.

"I will of course have to make sure that I have the time... and it will not be able to commence at once, I have some things to settle here first which may take even a couple of weeks to close off... but you have my word that I will take the time to teach you after I have made sure to complete them. " She wasn't sure what she was going to have to do to convince her family that whatever she had been doing here was of little interest to them, and certainly nothing of the matrimonial, physical ilk.

She smiled very slightly as he started to eat however, the notion of having a student was actually a slightly appealing one, and he did have a point. Her style may well suit his somewhat slighter frame... yes... she thought he might well do very well indeed.

"As I say.. I will have some things to attend to, so I do hope you will provide me with some place to contact you... I will give you the name of my house but I would advise you to refer to yourself as more feminine than you truly are should you wish to contact me there. The house of Arab'ndar are not known for their gentle natures towards men.... please just trust that my own intentions are so far different from those of my house that we frequently do not get along..."

He ate some more of the food off his plate hungrier than he had thought, but the food here was surprisingly good as well. He had nodded along with her words shrugging,

“Whenever you have time is fine.” He found himself blinking in shock at her next words mouth open. She was of the house of Arab’ndar? Now that was a surprise. He had also felt himself almost instinctively lean back from her as if she might for some reason jump across the table and kill him now. He felt deeply sorry for all the unfortunate males that had ever had the misfortune to be drawn to that house. A slight shiver ran down his spine at the thought of what happened to men who were involved with the women.

Her next words had him nodding again; she didn’t seem to be the type of female that he would expect of someone from her house. Not that he really had any idea what they were really like mainly having just heard the rumours, “I see.” He managed to say before a full out grin touched his features, “I can see now why being female would be preferable if I had to go to your house.” He lifted one hand waving it lightly as though wiping away the possibility he would have to go, “I am sure that I won’t need to contact you. As long as you know where I am, I am sure everything will be fine.” His smile was pretty carefree. “I live in a small place not far from here where you can catch me. It’s pretty easy to find over by the market. I am opposite a jewellery store that they have there. As I said it’s only a little place, but it suits me well enough.”

He sat forward once more in his seat lifting his cup enjoying the taste of the wine. “If you ever have need of me then you can find me around there, I stand out in most people’s minds so if I have wandered off it shouldn’t be hard to track me.” He frowned as he had a thought, “Unless I was on a job of course, but that’s neither here nor there.” He ruffled a hand back through his grey hair, “Mayhap I should wish you luck with your endeavours… Shyn.” He just managed to bite back on calling her my lady, his whimsical nature having nearly caught up to him again.
