lol, i can relate. ive just gotten some birthday money and i want to get some nice dresses, set up another 10gal fish tank, get another corn snake or a small green snake, or redo some of my current tanks so they look better.
thats the downside of getting money, you have to decide what to spend it on XD

Or what to save it on Dx

I think you should set up another fish tank :O But thats my opinion.

You know what i found out thats really good? I can buy 20gal tanks from the petstore for 5 DOLLARS I was soooo happy when I found that out me and my dad bought 3 >w< Just encase we decide to get another reptile! :O Or a goldfish or something.

When I saw it,I thought having a reticulated python would be pretty cool :O But they`re soooo expensive! And plus, they`re the largest snakes in the world! Along with Anacondas.

But what would you feed your reticulated python? I know rats would probably be too small, what about ducks?or chickens? And how often do you think you would have to feed it?

Edit:: I founds itt

I work with a guy, Jason who has, at present, 4 Reticulated Pythons. (he breeds them, too.)

He mostly feeds his rabbits... and any of the chickens at work that are mean. (We have a farm/petting zoo at work... if any of the birds are aggressive, Jason asks to buy them cheap.)

Thats sooo cool! biggrin

But i guess you wouldn`t want an aggressive animal at a petting zoo, where kids will be.

And how often does he feed them? cause i know that large constrictors can go even a year without food.

with most snakes you want to feed them every 1 -2 weeks, though i have heard of some people feeding their retics only once a month. im not sure if once a month is ok or not though, thats just what some of the keepers ive met do with their larger snakes.

and i think i will set up another fish tank. though ive already spent some of it on a belly piercing yesterday lol. i still have enough left over to get a simple set up going for some fish

Thats nice smile

I know this sounds bad,but me and my dad go fish out about 2 catfish, about This big,or smaller, and put them in this 100 gallon fish tank we have,we keep them in river water, and we had two that lived 4 years! We fed them live minows, meal worms, crickets, but they would really eat anything! occasionally we would give them some scrambled eggs. It was fun, they were really smart! We also fed them small pieces of chicken, blood worms, and earthworms. I called them muck, and Finny. I could tell them appart because finny lost a fin! Thats one of the reasons we took them in,we found finny floating on the surface, without one fin,but he lived 4 years more! and Muck was missing half his tail,he couldn`t swim properly, but he also lived another 4 years!

i just got back from atlantic city yesterday. i didnt win much at the casino but lets just say i have enough money for a piebald surprised now if i can just convince my dad that its a good idea for me to get one lol. i wont be able to unless i get some stackable bins or something cheap as an enclosure cause i have no space in my room right now and i dont want to pay for another 40gal tank. though if i got it as a baby i could fit it in a smaller bin
PostPosted: Tue Jun 09, 2009 2:27 pm

Actually,my dad wanted to make something for me,as a birthday present, but i convinced him to make me a guinea pig cage instead, the guinea pig cage is wonderful anyways,he spent a lot of time on it [over 4 months].

Anyways,he wanted to build me a shelf,to fit several large plastic bins,he wanted to make it so that the bins would slide in and out.He was gonna make if for me when I wanted to get more reptiles. 3nodding
