Hey KillerQueen Bash. I'm really sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I was away last night so couldn't pick up any mail. Welcome to the class smile .

I can definately see where you come from. I often have mild anxiety issues too, especially in public places and it makes me feel very very vulnerable...which is why I'm so good with protections hehe.
The bubble and chants are really good, sturdy bases to work from so we need to find a way of helping you keep them up and strengthen them for you. The concept of a sort of "signature" is new to me but it seems to be like...if everyone was talking to you at once (correct me if I'm wrong hehe) which can obviously be very stressful.
I hope you enjoy the class and look forward to your participation!! ^.^

Hello, thank you for letting me join the class!

Um, I've never really noted if I used a Protective type of shield before, so it's a bit of a struggle right now, but I remember trying to separate myself from others who seem to throw negative energy my way. I don't think I got away quite enough, as last year I was always upset.

I'm not sure if you could call it a protective device, but I sing to myself quite a bit and it cheers me up. I don't care if others hear me because I know I'm not a horrible singer. Back to the point...

I wear a tigers eye necklace everyday, so I'm always protected by it. So thats another protective shield. I never take it off, even when I shower! (It's my way of cleansing it) Um, another piece of information, I haven't had to use energy as a shield [purposely anyway] for a while so it might be good to get some technique back.

Sorry for my huge ramble, I hope it's not too much.

Of course not loveblackbutterflies! You gotta say what you gotta say.

Your necklace sounds perfect!! I wear my rings to keep me safe...mostly to remind me of my other half and how he looks after me too. Having something physical can be very very helpful if you struggle with visualisations or shield mantainance!
I can understand the separation bit too, I went through something similar recently and I'll explain in later lessons how I was able to combat the negativity.

Well done on completing your first homework and welcome to the class!!

Thank you x]
I do believe that it was a shield, in its own way. Thats what my heart is telling me, and thats the most important.

Thank you, doistu. What type of metal are your rings? I think the metal/stone has a lot to do with how much your jewelery can help you in certain areas. My necklace also keeps me close to someone, actually both of my best friends have ones exactly like mine but different stones.

I can't wait for your explanation and once again thank you for the warm greeting.

I've heard that metal attracts energy and it sticks.
Yes, it's like everyone is talking to me at once, and some of them yelling. I can block out emotional signatures sometimes, but never the scent signatures. At school, several times I nearly attacked men when they walked by me because of their scent. All women are attracted by male pheromones in nature, but it's especially horrible for me. One male student, I used to hang out with him, but we sort of fell out, I cannot walk past him without practically pouncing on him--it takes a great deal of self control, and I don't even like him that much! I suppose it's the animal in me.

I have a silver and Tiger-eye necklace that I want to use for protection, but I don't know how to charge it. How did you charge yours?

[boo's guild]

on the subject of jewlry for protection, I have a silver pentacle that I bought from the fair [it has some inscriptions on it, but I can't figure out what it means] that I practically always wear [it's big and heavy, so I'll get bruises if I run with it on lol] and it helps me feel protected at all times.
I also have two necklaces that I got in Salem, MA that I wear when I need them. One is a cross, the celtic symbol for 'well-being', the other is quite ornate, and the celtic symbol for 'spiritual awakening'.
I also have two silver rings that I always wear, a peace sign and a heart- peace and love- I can't really describe how they make me feel, but it's amazing. I feel empty when I'm not wearing them.

Not Like It Matters

Well, as I mentioned before I never take it off, but the first charge would've been when I was at the beach at midnight, but I'm sure people can't go doing that all the time. I'm pretty sure that it's charged with my own energy, since it has a big build up and I've never had to do anything special with it. If you cleanse it, I think it would be good just to wear it. Or, you can treat it like other stones, putting it out in the full moon for a night (or something similar). Good luck with it and you disagree with my advice, then there are plenty of experienced people in this guild to ask.

Hey all!! I'm glad we've got some healthy discussions going on!
First, I'll just point out that I may be away for a few days due to major goings on with the other half. I'll check in as much as poss but may not post much because I'm gonna be draaaaained lol. I apologise for this anyway.
Second, I apologise for answering each persons induvidual post rather than just chucking in my two cents. If I don't I'll lose track of what I'm saying and might miss someone out smile

Loveblackbutterflies, my rings are made of yellow gold and sterling silver. One was given to me by my OH and was his great-grandmothers eternity ring. So it's already charged with lots of love and nice feelings. It has huge sentimental value and I'd feel very very lost without it. The second is very new. I bought it to replace the ring bought for me by my other half for my 16th birthday. It's very odd as the band follows a concave shape instead of a D shape. It felt perfect to me and fits like a dream so already its been associated with good things.
Other than my rings I wear an Ankh made of silver. This is my only obvious piece of pagan jewelry and I wear it when I feel I need to mostly. It's reassuring but not necessary if that makes sense. I'm not sure why...I just feel safe with or without it, I know my Netjer are there if I need them kinda thing.
Certain connotations are linked with important pieces of jewelry and often you'll know where you got it, why you got it, who gave it to you etc etc...I feel this translates into positive energy that can be formed into a protection smile

KillerQueen Bash, it sounds like you go through a lot!! I hope these protection classes can help! The distraction lesson may be good for you hehe so you can distract yourself from the negativity etc. Keep with it and keep training that self control! It sounds like you're doing very well.

captains bootie, I often feel that my jewelry is a physically separate part of me. It means as much to me as my right hand, without it I could survive but life just wouldn't be the same smile

Not Like It Matters, charging is quite easy, especially when followed by a cleansing. I often visualise the object in front of me while I touch o hold it. I imagine it being surrounded by swirls of white light, coming from my third eye or forehead, that kind of strike out at it until the object absorbs them. Then I visualise the object getting white hot with the light until I have to put it down or let it go...Tada!!! It is charged. I hope that helps.

Once again, sorry in advance for my absence. If anyone needs me I will pick up PMs as often as I can and do my best to reply as best I can.

Hope everyone has a good day! Blessings! xx

Wow, the first ring must have felt amazing to be given, since it has so much value. The second one sounds slightly odd but to each their own. I also wear an Ankh (made of silver as well) but I mainly just carry it around rather than wear it. Yes, it does make sense, I use mine in the same way.

Also that would be the energy that "fortune tellers" read to find out about you, right?

I have a question. If jewelery is a great form of protection, and as Captain Bootie was talking about, with protection shields from yourself, could stones protect your dreams? It just occurred to be that my dreams have been more ... symbolic than last year. Not exactly nightmares but not really airy fairy either.

You could charge it for that purpose I'm sure. Some stones are meant to help with bad dreams and you keep them under your pillow. A little research into stone properties might be fun!!
Charging it with a purpose might focus the energy a bit more onto a single aspect.

Experiment and have fun smile

I charged my necklace he way you said doistu, but is there any way to do it wrong? I tried last night, and now the necklace keeps falling off [it never came undone before] and twisting in my hair, and sometimes the stones feel like they're burning on my neck. I'm not sure how I messed up, but I must have somehow neutral

You might have insulted the necklace in some way?
I go through an awful lot on a daily basis, but I've become desensitized to an extent. Most males I can walk by and think hmm, he smells particularly sexy, and not react on it. But with him, I end up growling in the bottom of my throat as soon as he walks away, as if the animal in me wants to chase after him. Luckily, only three to five guys at my school have that effect on me, and one is my boyfriend. He definitely doesn't mind if I pounce on him.
I also think I'm a bit of an empath. I don't really feel what they're feeling, but if I look deep into someone's eyes, I can get a general feel of...not their emotions, but a feeling.
