"I'm guessing you two have seen a great many lions in your travels." He tilted his head when the lioness winced. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine," she snapped, which quieted the voice in her head. "I've simply got a flea in my ear." She peered around, a bit unimpressed by the scenery, "What have you done with yourself, living here almost your whole life?"

He ignored the snap and simply shrugged it off. "I've learned and grown up. Met several lions. But that is about it." Aidan looked at her again. "I can't imagine all you have seen."

Raising a brow, her look turned a bit smug, "We've met a lot of silly lions, I've met a lot mean, nasty lions, and Lai has met a lot of cruel lions... No one of any particular interest."

"Which am I?" He watched her, green eyes almost playful now. He was not a fool, not a cruel lion. What did she think he was? That interested him greatly. "What is your opinion of me?"

Min sneered, her eyes seeming to darken and her white teeth shining. "I think you're quite the silly lion... Lai insists that I consider you differently, but we tend not to listen to each other's differing opinions..." This made her chuckle, though it wasn't a particularly cheery chuckle.

"Well," Min's voice took a bit of an acid tone, and Lai was beginning to yell at her once again. "You've barely left what you consider your homeland. You're remaining courteous despite my obvious lack of politeness, and you probably still have some hope that my better half will come out to play..." She rapped her toes on the dirt, looking him over again. "That is why I classify you as silly." By now, Lai's inner voice was like a constant ringing in her inner ear, and Min was starting to get quite irritated. She didn't want to let her counterpart get in too deep with another lion and set herself up for hurt again...

"Ah, I see." Aidan simply looked at her, a little hurt in his green eyes. "I am kind because I was raised by the crankiest lion you'll ever know. And besides, I respect lionesses greatly. Unless you strike me, I will not yell or snap." He sighed and seriously considered just leaving.

Tired of having Lai screaming at her, the eyes shifted their glow and suddenly the orange eye dimly lit her face.
"Please excuse her, she only means to do what she believes is best for me..." The voice was quiet and low, not particularly deep, but also not a soprano. It had a subtle charm to it, though timid and almost sad-sounding. "My name is Lai..."

His ears twitched a bit as he noted the voice change and actually saw the eyes switch. The smile he'd had earlier returned as she spoke. The very sound of her voice relaxed him.
"That's alright. She is very interesting to argue with." He chuckled softly. "Nice to properly meet you Lai."

His smile only grew warmer as she spoke. He could tell easily she was a kind lioness. Actually, he was unsure of what to say now.
"I must say you compliment each other. Kind of like Yin and Yang..."
