This time, Helium was able to reap the benefits of confusion as Pinkeh accidently scratched herself in her confused state. Perfect. All the while, Helium continued to circle around Pinkeh, drawing the feline pokemon's energy with his gigadrain attack.

"You shouldn't try tricks in my realm of expertise," Helium warned as he effortlessly faded away from the line of attack and reappeared right behind Pinkeh.
The ghost pokemon crept up to the Persian's ear. "You see little kitten? You can never defeat me! It's impossible for you!" The green energy around the Persian flared since the creator of the attack was so close by.

Cab didn't see any other choice. It seemed she was thwarted at every turn with strategy moves, so it was time for all out offense. "Night Slash 'em till the end, Pinkeh!" She felt too much desperation to wonder if it might be a bad move to continue with one attack only.
Pinkeh cried when her life was drained with more vigor for once. She narrowed her eyes at Helium. You'll vanish as smoke when we're through, she growled while her claws glowed with the light of night.Pinkeh

"You'll be a limp furball in the couch by the time I'm through" Helium retorted to the Persian but immediately after, got slashed by the nightslash attack.
Helium winced in pain and seemed to withdraw as he realized the damage this time was major. His eyelids were bleeding, and that certainly wasn't good. He was one eye down. But there was only one thing to do now: suck the furball dry before it could attack anymore. So the haunter, with the same desperation as Cab but a ton more composure, pulled hard with his gigadrain attack.

Cab watched with mingled hope and regret. Shouldn't have waisted those turns with hypnosis... How was I to know she'd fail every time? She wrung her hands. Will Roise be mad if I loose? She arranged this for me... She felt like an outside observer, after giving Pinkeh her final command. Even if she did decide to try something different, she had lost control of her borrowed pokemon.
Pinkeh's chest rumbled a deep growl while energy was sucked from her to the lipstick ghost. I hope you choke on it, she spat while leaping for another Night Slash.Pinkeh

The nightslash landed yet another direct hit on the haunter who now looked winded from the battle. If it weren't for his last megadrain attack, he may have even been unconscious at this point.
Brimming with desperation and anger, Helium switched from a strategy of endurance to psychological warfare as he swaggered around the persian.

Smug satisfaction held Pinkeh's attack for a few moments, she could feel victory within her grasp as her claws flared with dark power. Cab was excited as well and clutched her hands to her chest in anticipation of what she hoped would be Pinkeh's final Night Slash.Pinkeh

The haunter was slashed at once more and finally, with a seering glare, the ghost pokemon retreated into the darkness of the stadium to recover and leave the other two in peace. They may have escaped this time, but he would definitely get them /next/ time.
