It was like she took a kindness to all things, from her past to the present had felt grateful for all that had come to her, and through all that bad her gentle 'thank you' had thrown all the bad thoughts away and made the pale cheeks flutter into a crimson warmth, heart eased by those two, simple, words - A deeper meaning called out and surely they both knew that the only other who would understand would be him.
He nodded slowly, the two dark blue stones watching over her weary being as she slowly slipped into a peaceful slumber. For a time he kept watch, blocking out the sounds of the weather to listen to the calm lump of breathes, settling into cold fog that soon drifted into nothingness. He wondered if she was dreaming, if they were pleasant dreams or if... He was in them?
'Don't be an idiot' pff but... I can't say I'd object if I were'
He shook his head. Was he mad? He blushed more wanting to tell himself off and lowered his jaw about to without realizing, but self-control kept it contained, and the jaw fell naturally back into place when she came back into his gaze.
"Good night Coral.. Sweet dreams" he whispered into the two delicate ears, secretly he'd hoped she'd heard the words grace.
He had stayed awake for a while longer keeping an eye out for any watcher, but there had been none. So packing in to the sleepy senses, he rested his head gently atop of Coraline's hoping that it wouldn't disturb her good nights rest and for the rest f the night, they both slept in each other company.. An embrace of something potentially greater than the current understanding...
Possibly, even Love.
----------------------------
Morning came with the blink of an eye, the warm dim rays of light soared throughout the tunnel just peaking to where the hidden figures were laid resting. It didn't take long with the suns awakening to also interrupt the slumber of the gleaming white stallion.
'Drip, drip'
"Ughh..." He moaned lightly, lifting his head slowly cracking open his eyes to the light, having to squint and flutter the sleepy lids a few times so they adjusted a bit better. The earth was damp, the gentle pitter patter of access water signaled that at the mouth of the cave. He yawned, stretching out the two wings-
Wait! Wasn't he... Forgetting something here? How could he..
He smiled, warmly, the thoughts from before a poof into a carefree attitude just watching the pearly marked pelt of the siren glisten beautifully in the light. At least now he got to have clearer look of her and it only proposed how amazing she really was and her hair, well it had served a comfy enough rest. Maybe even the best sleep he'd had in a while - how he hoped she;d had the same.
It was a battle whether to wake her or not, be that knight in shining, well maybe not shining, but he was her angel after all and he might look more of the part with his coat. Then again it had been raining.
'Ruin all the fun' he pouted, puffing out the two cheeks before shuffling the tips of his wings to a more comfier position over her.
"Morning... Sleeping Beauty" He tilted his head, wondering whether she heard or not. At least another good thing would come out of the rain and how dirty it had made his coat; he'd ask if she could show him the sea, and perhaps then, he'd understand what his mother meant by sharing it with someone special.

Warmth embraced Coraline's face. The sun's first rays were bright and made her see an orangey-red shining through her lids. She was reluctant to open them, savoring the last strands of sleep. And what a pleasant rest it had been. Beautiful, vivid dreams were faint in her memory, and she smiled thinking back on them.
One memory was more realistic than the rest: Alex speaking. She sighed contently, a certain feeling of safety washing over her. Wait - it wasn't a memory of a dream...
Coraline's eyelids fluttered open instantly at this realization, and she found herself looking up at Alex's kindly features. With the morning's light, she could make out the distinct muddy flaws to his beautiful, glistening white pelt. His wings were a unique sight, four sets: head wings, which were what made the impression of elongated ears last night, two sets of back wings, one almost transparent and the other a more glorious version of wind soquili wings, and a set on his back ankles, also almost transparent. His tail was one of a Unicorn's, brush-tipped. His mane was blonde, also streaked with mud, and bore a black ribbon with golden symbols. She'd have to ask about that later...
Then her pearls met his sapphires once more, and she smiled. 'He stayed...'
"Good morning, Alex..." Slowly, she rose to her feet, stretching her sore limbs. Oh, how glad she was that he'd stayed.

The awakening of two glowing pearls slipped into his dark gaze, the light reflecting what she saw, and every part of him that she studied was given away at ease. He waited, allowing her to look over what stranger had crawled into her den late evening, who she'd talked to and now, who she had awaken to with only a friendly, welcoming smile to return.
He waited till she had managed to rise to all fours, stretching out the tensed limbs but that gave him the chance to also study her clearer. The frame was like nothing he'd ever seen before, and her markings were odd at that. t was becoming clearer and clearer how much she belonged accompanying the sea, the mutations scaling out from her back were of that he'd seen in the clear waters before, or at least they resembled them.
He still didn't change his mind. She was beautiful, with natural elegance rarely seen in a lady. He rose after her, allowing a swift passage beside her and up throughout the cave heading directly to the entrance, with a look back over his shoulder to see if she was following.
"So, maybe you should... Show me around today?" He chuckled lightly, letting the four wings spread to stretch out the sleepy cramps, before retracting equally as neat again by either of the stallions sides.
He'd made it to the entrance by the time his passionate gaze stretched out as far as the eye could see, the sea calm colliding calm waves playfully against each other with the pale blue sky hanging ahead. He breathed in deeply, a smile broadening contently at how fresh the air had become. At last, he looked to the side where she fell back into his sites, and he was glad. 'It wouldn't be a bad idea to stick around for a while.. Maybe... Even just for today'

Her legs automatically carried her to the cave's mouth after Alexander. She longed to see the sea, breathe the breeze. Coraline froze with a small gasp when he stretched his wings to their fullest, her eyes widening as they expanded. When they tucked back into his sides, she snapped out of her awed shock, shaking her head with another bemused smile, and trotted ahead of him out of the cavern.
Coraline's eyes embraced the familiar scene before her, tracing over the horizon's contours. Her vision went over in a full semi-circle, finally coming to rest on her new companion, "I'd love to show you around, Alex."
A microscopic mist tightened the fresh morning air slightly, making it crisp. Cory inhaled deeply, closing her eyes as she tasted the salty sea-breeze. And, without any hesitation, she burst forward in a relaxed canter, winding down the slope towards the pale-sanded beach. At the slope's mid-point, she came to an abrupt stop and her head swiveled around to see if Alexander was following. Hey, who didn't enjoy a nice morning swim?

It wasn't long before a swift wind hauled past Alex and he raised an eyebrow at the dash of pink daring the slope with so much confidence and familiarity. He laughed lightly shaking his head gently side to side.
"Heey! That's not showing me around" he smirked playfully, shaking the stray blonde bangs out of his eyes, it was still a bit shoddy from last nights sleep. Nevertheless he could see where she was running peeeerfectly clear. Looking from side to side, Alex decided, there was no one to judge you here, and his casual nature just flooded out, as it had seemed to do naturally in this place of paradise.
He pulled up the two strong legs and trotted down the slope, sinking in a golden hoof when needed to skid towards the beach area- What the? The beach was amazing with a heap of golden grains all lapped out, some dark from the tide that swayed in and off the shore. He looked at Coraline, with a wondrous smile once hitting the sand as he trotted after her until nearing the mid-point, a slight sly grin directed towards the pearly decorated mare.
"Not a bad r- hey wait! Come on thats not fair" He eyed the water for a moment then shuffled a, oh no, your not? kind of look back at her. ""uh oh~ Now im in for it" Teasing, of course, he tried to look shocked at the water, but only ended in a set of chuckles.
'at least she agreed to show me around.. I can't wait for the tour' he thought, delighted.

Seeing him following, Coraline grinned and ran on, her side mutations giving her the ideal balance, making the experience very much like flight. She chuckled with the knowledge that Alexander could probably soar with the grace of an eagle - better, even. He did have four sets of wings. She whinnied, tossing her mane, and swerved to the left, feeling the sensation of wet sand sifting through her slight leg feathering.
"Well, you'll have to take a swim first. The water's cleanest in the morning!" She giggled, wading through the water, stopping just before the sudden drop that'd have her in over her head. "And then I'll show you around the coves and reefs here!"
The water was just right, cool and clear, warmed to the perfect temperature by the bright morning sun. In one fluid motion, she flattened her ears, dipped her head into the sea, drew it back up and shook it out, pearls clattering together. The feeling of cleanliness enveloped her and she stood there with her eyes closed for a long moment, letting the waves rock her. And then she remembered about a very important other in the area, probably watching her. Coraline blushed deeply, looking up at Alexander through her thick lashes, laden with water droplets. "S-so... You coming in?"
'Ahhh, what an idiot! I got carried away..' She dipped her head into the water again, holding her breath and letting it cover her 'til her forehead. Perhaps this antic was to "wash away" her blush. So she stood, probably looking like more of an idiot by the second, but still embarrassed. Apparently, she'd miscalculated the time, because she soon found herself inhaling a stream of saltwater. Rising quickly, she spattered, her lungs making her cough with rejection of the fluid. She cast another shy glance in Alex's direction, 'if not earlier, he surely thinks me a fool now. Oh, why, why did I have to do that?'

Alex tread along the sandy shore, his gaze lifting to adjust to the amazing scene before him. Pausing, only briefly it was if he was lifted from his very body, free'd from the enclosure of his pelt. Sprays of sun lit water embraced the air with open arms, Coraline's features made more magnificent when the droplets of liquid groomed the dappled pink, and slipped along her silk skin; pearls glistened with shine and the seafoam locks mad shiny when engulfed by the waters contents then tossed back into the air.
His heart beat raced, felt in a trance but the quick actions of her head descending threw him off guard, and he shook his head out of the day dream giving a snort of protest with scarlet cheeks, letting his gaze unfold over the calm tide; slowly getting further and further along the golden sand.
His cough sounded suddenly. Making his way over to her side, allowing the sea water to slip within the feet feathering, dragging out loose strands. The water felt refreshing, cold but it was just right. His gaze fell short of her, completely shifted to one side and he flashed a smirk.
"A swim huh? Can't remember the last time I had to do that" He admitted watching the bubbles rise upwards, bursting into air, when she rose coughing up the ridiculous amount of seawater, his eyes widened and he spread out one of the lower wings to try calm the bothering cough, tapping inbetween the mutations along her back.
"Are you.. Ok?" He chuckled, but also given a concerned glance."its not very healthy.. Y'know, to drink salty water." It was then he dashed forwards, throwing out the same wing to slice straight through the sea, flicking it up in a rippling wave towards her. 'awwww, isn't she cute'
He smiled, trotting through the water innocently. Eying her.
"Well I suppose a little water couldn't hurt"

The sight of Alexander treading through the water was one Coraline would never forget. She imagined his glide through the ocean would resemble someone galloping through the soft, white fluff that was clouds. She thought on this topic little, however, and resumed in dipping her head into the water, followed by more coughing, and suddenly light feathers were lightly pounding her back, helping her return the saltwater to where it belonged.
"Th-thank you!" Her voice was a little coarse from the coughing, but she smiled at him gratefully. "Yeah, saltwater isn't quite good..."
But she couldn't finish her sentence before a wave of water droplets coated her, once again, in water. Coraline's first reaction was the widening of her eyes, her mouth falling ajar at this unexpected action. She then gave a little squeak as the water hit her, giggling and shaking the drops out of her mane.
In a moment's time, she pushed her hooves through the soft ocean floor, turning about at the ideal angle to send a wave directed back at Alexander. "A little water goes a long way for ya! Coraline's grin was wider than it had been in her entire life, her eyes sparkling with the joy of the moment.

Alex & Coraline continued on ~ AIM Hypercandy Loli Alex had been blissfully trotting away through the cool sea waters, it was then he turned his head to see Coraline, only to be greeted by a wave of droplets. They soaked his coat, and he closed his eyes tight so the salty contents couldn't mingle with his sight. Laughter filtered, and a grin slowly curled once re-opening to two eyes to the wave's sender. Well, a playful little mare she was indeed ; She looked extremely happy, more so than the previous night. He rolled his eyes to the side, placing both hooves calmly into the water, the four graceful wings lifting then flapping a light gust downwards. "Your right. Thanks for the tip" He winked, allowing the breeze to take the water towards Coraline. Nuclearity Coraline giggled as another wave hit her, awed by the cause of the wind that propelled the wave. Her very own mane was tossed back as his wings blessed the sea with friction. By the time the wave reached her, it reached to her shoulders, merely rocking her aside, making way for more chortling laughter. Her grin was wide as she began a walking glide towards Alexander. Millions of water droplets glistened upon his coat, making the already-present shine more beautiful than she'd ever seen it. This, too, brought giggles, "Alex, you're... You're beautiful!" She shook her head, slight laughter flowing out like a well-practiced melody, "and I mean that in the best way possible!" Coraline flashed him a bright smile, now only a small length away from him.Hypercandy Loli Alex was taken back by the sudden compliment , lifting his head as she neared him. "I- I.. Urm... Well.." He started out wanting to say something but, he couldn't really grasped the words. She had admired his coat, pampered by the sea water however he hadn't really said how beautiful she was, and to him, words were far beyond describing however allowing the compliment to adjust, and fixate, he flexed a neat smile in return, and lowered his gaze to the sight of an innocent laughter. "Thank you." He uttered, throwing aside the lengthy locks of blonde from his eyes before nuzzling gently into her own forelocks, asiding the large horn, caressed in place of a unicorn horn. "I appreciate the compliment, but I'm afraid I hold no mark to how stunningly beautiful you are my lady" Nuclearity There was a moment where Coraline's breath caught, sparing her a silent moment in which she found that her throat was scorched with salt and sand. Funny how she failed to notice the aching pain. What feeling replaced it....? Instead, she shook her head, carefully, laughing once more, the sound a bit edgy and flushed now. "Th-thank you, Alex." Her blush now overpowered any prior one, making her pelt an evident, darker shade against the usual soft pinks of her entirety. Her clear eyes smouldered, reflecting his, and with this realization she turned her head away coyly, letting the bangs he'd brushed aside fall back into her face. "I-I'm nothing quite as compelling as you, however..." Coraline's voice, usually steady and soft now came out as a rushed mumble, altered by a foreign feeling. Hypercandy Loli "We could argue all day" he chuckled calmly, how she had become so embarrassed by the reflecting words. She was so cute, the soft pearls embedded in the silky strands made his sapphires take to them, then look down towards the emblem that clung tight around the golden anklet. He followed her around as she turned and then passed, splashing his lion like tail into the water so it flicked up against the now darker features of her coat. Slyly, he turned his gaze sidewards. "I hope I said nothing wrong." He swirled to face her, smiling brightly. "Now, where was that sweet smile I saw a few seconds ago?"Nuclearity "No, no, you said nothing wrong!" The words came out naturally, because they were true. More than true, even, the words he had spoken, the compliment he bestowed upon her, made her feel a cluster of emotions. None of these were bad, quite the opposite: There was a giddy happiness, a blushing coyness, adoration of this amazing stallion, and one indefinite feeling that was a blossoming rose, watered constantly by his presence, coaxed to grow with time. She returned his smile with one of her own, the flush of pink still quite obvious in her cheeks. "Now, you still want that tour?" Perhaps having something to do would distract her a little. Avert her attention away from the mystery of the unknown feeling.

Alex watched the dark shade of her coat and couldn't help just continuing to smile. He nodded slowly at the offer of the tour. It sounded great! What better than to have a beautiful tour guide around an amazing beach and coast front. Could a guy get any luckier? Keeping to Coraline's side, close but at a comfortable distance so the four large wings didnt tickle her consistantly, he waited for her to begin showing him around and explaining all the interesting details of her home. This was the meaning of his travels afterall, to learn. After meeting this bewildering young mare, he had become distracted from that goal and it had only just started to click in his mind again... "After you m'dear."He urged softly.

Coraline nodded, walking out in front of him. It was strange for her, being a leader. She usually let the tide of life carry her wherever it had. Where to begin... "Well, you've seen my little cave up there, naturally, but you should have guessed it's not the only cave about here!" With a clever little smile, she led him back towards the grand slope upon which her cavern rested. "There is a very interesting tunnel system in the lower parts, and the only time we can enter would be... Well, now! When the tide is at its lowest..." It didn't take too long a time to get back to the mountainous wall of rock, but instead of going up the trail that led to her home, Coraline stepped into moistened sand from which the tide'd just retreated.
The sand made a straight trail to another cavern which would be invisible from any other angle, given its careful positioning. "Hope you're not claustrophobic or afraid of dampness, because you'll find yourself in a cramped, moist environment before we get deeper and drier!" She paused, blinking at him for his response. Coraline could make it through the cave system effortlessly, given her tiny figure, but Alex was rather big and had two pairs of bulky wings upon his back. She really hoped he'd be able to fit. She wanted him to see the magics of the coast.
